I was pleasantly surprised by Gen V as well! My expectations were low but Season 1 was a fun ride! And it works b/c the show doesn't take itself too seriously. Looking forward to season 2!
i watched gen v first and it actually inspired me to watch the boys! i liked gen v more though, after season two i had a hard time putting the boys on anymore (only so much racism i can sit through) but it made me rewatch gen v! some of their powers are definitely on the nose which was a bit disappointing to me but I really liked jordan’s character and the differences between the actors portrayals. it felt like they were the same character but derek had a much more uncertain portrayal that felt intentional. i lived for jordan and marie’s budding romance and jordan very quickly became my favourite character ! gonna see if you have breakdowns of the seasons of the boys now (if you haven’t done those breakdowns yet you should! your recaps are greatly effective)
I don't have any videos of The Boys, yet. I'm thinking after the next season or maybe right before it releases, I'll do a video on them. So be on the lookout!
I think you misunderstood the woods. It’s a place where they can experiment on supes in general, a replacement for the facility we see in season 2 of the boys. The virus being developed to control/kill supes was done behind voughs back. The transfusion between Sam and Luke had nothing to do with the virus and was just an experiment to augment Luke’s abilities using Sam.
I like Emma and Sam relationship, I agree on your points. The only reason why I like as a couple because they’re like Frenchie and Kimiko. But since they’re young, Emma’s in still her abuse and Sam never seeing the world since at least his pre-teens. But they’re young so that’s expected.
Fuckin pimpin man great video great show too, i very much am eager for a new season of gen v because the left vrs fight radicalising arc from a younger and more removed vantage point is gonna be absolutly pimpin (and uncomfy to watch like alot of arcs in the show lol)
I enjoyed it too but less. To me it is following the same Woke Hollywood trends of other entertainment franchises. The good thing however that is going on is some cool World Building for the Boy's Universe.

It was good except the main girl was really boring and kind of dumb.
