Marines battle opiates with weed brand | The Green Room

As a Special Operations Team Commander with Marine Raiders, Bryan Buckley fought for his country in Afghanistan. Now he wants his country to step up and do right by veterans - by allowing them to use cannabis instead of opiates to address the after-effects of their service. That’s why he founded Helmand Valley Growers Company (named after a valley in Afghanistan where he served during Operation Enduring Freedom), a cannabis brand that is channeling 100% of profits into medical cannabis research. The San Diego based label launched in early 2020 with a line of vaporizer cartridges with packaging that riffs on military motifs.

I’ll admit, when we filmed this, Bryan Buckley said something that almost brought me to tears. And it still does every time I watch the video. When he’s talking about going to members of Congress to get help for veterans, he says: “I can stand there and say ‘You sent me to war, now it’s your turn to fix me.’”

Yea when I was a 26yo small business owner. I was smashed in the face with an unopened beer bottle. . when I fought back and he could not win…I was stabbed repeatedly in the back of the neck by the Iraq vet who was on all kinds of ‘meds’
He was getting weed from a friend,
And maybe woulda been ok if that was legal.
And when he was mixing weed WITH traditional ‘meds’
He successfully shared his ptsd with me for the rest of my life.

But rosin is more expensive per gram than heroin in California.

Anything native American bound is legal in my eyes , there are plants that have been around longer than humans. There are some plants though being used by non native Americans and they are becoming dependent on our culture, which is why they use it as an excuse to demonize our ways and culture, when in reality everyone that is against it shoulda just stayed in their own continent with their own culturas ,not messing or making ours illegal just because it doesn't suit yours.
