Usually I just placed myself where the ball was going to go so I could steal it and push forward either kicking it down the sidelines to reduce pressure or passing it to a forward. You can also let someone else be in the position to steal the ball if you notice they're closer, and just let them pass to you so you can push it up faster. It's better to be evenly spaced, that way you can cut through once you take back possession. Basically it's your job to have good spatial awareness. You need to know when and where you need to move to set up that position anywhere on the field. It's most likely going to be in between and/or behind the other teams forwards so you can intercept or cut through them. If it doesn't look like you can take back possession just squeeze in more to focus on blocking rather than intercepting, but you can still attempt 1v1s to try and take back possession and get in an attacking position. That's just from my experience tho, but I've only been playing for 6 years ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Angrypickle5 i have been playing for six years aswell but usually when i do get in attacking positions the last defensive line gets compromised and a few times the counter attack was too fast for me to recover and drop back to help my teammates
The mobilty is the manner fact for athlete to unlock their full ability Continue the good work, I do really love tjis channel, it's being a while since I didn't watch a football video, only your channel is the only one related to football I watch
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I always lacked confidence on the pitch, and by applying the "stay on your toes" piece of advice before receiving the ball, and I'm much more effective. I think I just upgraded my game by 30% only with this little trick. So thank you again for blessing us with your simple yet amazing content ps : I used to do boxing for a while, and being or your toes is mandatory if you don't want to be a punching ball on the ring, I guess I'll just stay on my toes in every sport I try or even in my everyday life 😂

may I know , where was the pitch that this guy training at inside this video , I mean where it was located for surely just because of , it looking so wide , huge and cozy to did any kind of drills
You should do a video on defending and how to get in attacking positions while being a defender
Great idea!
That’s just kind of stuff you gotta learn on ur own or from a actual coach
@@jimmy1426 yea but you could get a main idea from it

Appreciate it mate :) Reminders are always good
That arms segment had me laughing so hard… It’s only when someone demonstrates it on purpose that you start noticing it everywhere 😂

Most people that I see with their arms out akimbo for balance lack core strength.
Subscribed. My 10 year old son lacks confidence on match day. I'll get him to practice these basics in the week 👌🏼
Congrats on the sponsorship
