Appreciate this video I was watching the other video you did on adjusting the super deluxe coil. I just got the vivid coil and put it on my Santa Cruz heckler I have the bike in the low setting. I have never had a coil before and usually ran the super deluxe air I would always smash them full of spacers and then run 25-30% sag. I’m running the spindrex on the coil and with a 610 spring ( on spindrex)I have around 30% sag my rider weight is 210lbs. I noticed in the previous video you mentioned to make sure the hsc and lsc matched I was curious if you used the rockshox app at all and found their recommendations to be pretty accurate for rebound? Really awesome video appreciate any help thank you.
6:10 when you say "damping theory" are you saying that the shocks perform in a similar manner or that you can just adjust the coils settings to the zebb settings?
@@OtterMTBtech, do you mean that the uncompressed length of the EXT or Formula springs is too short so that it rattles when threaded all the way down? How much? I appreciate Your deep dives on the suspension, and there is no other content like that- it's very helpful and fun to watch:) Can You please help me make a decission for a coil? I'm thinking between the Vivid ultimate coil tuned for my Santa Cruz Nomad, and the EXT Storia V3 which I found on sale now. The cheapiest I found them is 520e with one coil for Vivid and 830e with 2 coils for EXT, so the price difference is significant but I'm ready to pay more if is is worth it. It’s harder to get ext serviced. Something to be said when you have matching Zeb and vivid. It looks cool. The performance of the EXT is substantially better the true step up if setup right on EXT. Vivid is hard to setup wrong The bladder style EXT on another universe. Those are never on sale.
@@OtterMTBtech Thanks a lot! Seems like I'll stick to the Vivid this time.
