Hi, thank you for the review, i was actually looking for some nice hiking shoes, they are really decent, love them, lightweight at least to me, fits my foot really well and waterproof, hell yeah.... just went today with my dog for a small hike tour... also the grip on mud cheers

Yes they’ve stopped this style but the new version of this is even better! This one i’ve is male variant, & you’re right the female one also looks very similar.

The new model you mentioned has a different outsole than this one in your video. Would the grip and longevity of the outsole be the same in both models?

This is the same question I wanted to ask. Actually the new sole is poorly designed. I don't know why they opted out of the old sole design. The new sole (3 parts) is joined with adhesive and so now its not a single layer. The thickness is reduced. Also when you try to bend the shoes, the adhesive is giving up there itself. ( which is not covered in the warranty if it gets ripped apart, when asked). WHY ARE THEY EVEN selling it ? TOTALL Disappointment. I suggest you to make an update video of this new model , so that DECATHLON also gets to know.

very good video bro.... the boots is something i will look into ...and as for the socks, have you tried very thin nylon dress socks? that work very well, and very cheap.... ive been wearing them with sandals, shoes and boots on my hike and they work better than merina wool socks...check it out bro

In new male version, the grooves are not criss cross. So aren't they worse for grip? Like they will slip in snow or mud....the newer ones
The new one NH150 has much better & improved grip for summer & rain camping ⛺️ . For rainy season u can club them with snow cleats for better grip!👍

If you want to use it for regular or for riding use.. then everest21 are ok, but for hiking & trekking i suggest Quechua shoes are the best value for money.

Brother are these shoes good for road terrain as well. I am planning a multiple-country road trip from Russia to Uk, mostly via land travel and through public transport. So i might have to walk several KM on road. I am not looking something for more into Mounting, treak or extreme off road.

These are good for monsoon hikes but not so great on wet rocks! You can buy shoe cleats to fix that....

Yes you can use them and also buy snow cleats for these shoes. I have recently used them on Tungnath trek and they performed very well. I have a new hindi channel “Camping Kar Lo! where i will upload that video.

Walking daily should be good, for running I would suggest go for lighter weight runners!
This model is no good. Bcos the high cut of the shoe is useless. Made with soft elastic material. Gives zero ankle support. There is no point buying a boot like shoe when it gives zero ankle protection, might as well buy a low shoe which is lighter. Why carry extra fabric?
Good point! I believe at this price point these shoes does their job pretty well, i’ve been using them for more than 2years! I guess for ankle support there lot of other options available in Quechua! I tuck my pant hems inside the ankle fabric, so that i get protection from leeches in my trekking areas!

Please dont rely on this shoes if your primary work is to deal with snakes. These are great for outdoors & I’ve used them in many different terrains. If you’re really concerned about snake while you’re on an adventure, then the chances encounter snakes are zero to none. But if you really worried about snakes then go for leather boots & they will provide you good enough protection!
