Hello Rich…is it normal to not only feel a calmness, but tired as well? I have had an alarm in my body since I was 4 years old. It was brought on by my father who wasn’t abusive, but didn’t give me a calm stable environment that I needed. I’ve lived with it most days…since I’ve been activating my vagus nerve the alarm has been mostly quiet. It’s strange not having it. My cortisol level is usually very high upon waking…some days now it’s somewhat lower. At first I shut off alarm through my belly button believe it or not….that time was the most powerful vagus experience so far. I’m always surprised that moving the eyes can have such a powerful reaction. I will look up both books mentioned. My 20 year old son is autistic with Aspergers….but he would never try this…..I wish he would. Thanks so much-Nancy❤

Hi Nancy, Everyone has their own unique reaction to stimulating the vagus nerve, so normalcy is irrelevant as long as you enjoy and benefit from the experience. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I hope you continue to find the video calming. Keep in touch.

Appreciate the exercises as am going through intense stress. However, I found the music disturbing, as it is a Christmas song, "Hark How the Bells". Think I will turn audio off and try to follow with only video!
