Great video Max, the new technology coming in on these bikes is crazy, and how riders can adjust settings to suit themselves is a good thing , can you imagine the improvements in 10_ 15 years time.
Love the vids and just had to buy another CR500 after watching you guys and mr Bradshaw thrashing them around, but now I see a 4 stroke on the channel 😩 She does look good fun though👌
You mentioned how technology is slow to keep up with current standards and tires are obviously one of them I have been running Kevlar tires for years on my MTB why haven't they come out with Kevlar tires for Dirt bikes yet? It should be a standard no-brainer. Sean should have turned the traction control down or off in the app. I would love to hear more about how the Quickshift works from an engineer or mechanic to understand how that feature works. The track needs a little tree and overgrowth maintenance for the riders and the drone pilot. Looks like so much fun guys always love seeing the latest and greatest bikes! Thanks for the smiles.
QS simply cuts ignition and sometimes fuel when the gear lever is moved. That allows the dogs to mesh and the gear to switch without having to come off the throttle. Adjustable ones either work by allowing different cut times (longer is an easier change, shorter may make them harder) set by the mapping or by using a strain gauge and adjusting depending on pressure applied to the lever. I'm not sure which system this uses but either way its a fairly cool piece of tech when you're trying to keep it flat out over rough stuff.
On Sean's 2nd last ride that bike when on the gas sounded much like a 125 pinned. Maybe someday I will get a Cel Phone as I can see it now has a useful purpose.
Ya you were first ! Ha . Enjoy the show over here in the USA ! Palmer Massachusetts ! Doug fox # 666 cr500r is my bike 1995 !! Love EM !! Keep up the good work !!
KTM is great about reverse compatibility...I wonder if this can be used on older ECU's? Or if the new ones can be used on older bikes, as has been the case historically?
I like the idea of the tech but I also like the idea that you can turn it off. For racing you want as much adjustabiility as you can get - including electronics if they're available and allowed. However, When you're just going for a blast and couldn't really care less about the lap times there is something very nice about having a bike which is a little belligerent and a little harder to manage. Something a little scary which will just do what its told when its told and hang the consequences. It keeps you on your toes and I feel gives much more satisfaction when riding. For examples of this see pretty much any large 2T.
How much faster do you think you have been if you adjust the suspension on the bike? It's like you have to be a computer hacker if you would be faster in dirtbike racing now. Just love your chanel Max!
Data telemetry is a great tool to unpack rider inputs, and then identify opportunities to improve lap time. However, I am not a fan of a large array of controls on engine output, braking, etc. I have observed how a amatuer rider is easily distracted by all of the options available, while overlooking high priority setup items like choice of tires, tire pressures, spring stiffnesses and preload, damping settings, etc.
Hi Max and Sean, I’ve been a quite fan for years. I do have a question now. What under Jersey roost/chest protection are you guys wearing in this video? I made a mistake and let a Maico Mega 2 490 get the hole shot on me at AHRMA Southcentral Regional race a few weeks back. It was a painful experience. I did NOT let off the gas, mind you, but it took a lap and a half of bruises to get past him! 🤣 It gets super hot here in Texas and I need something breathable to not get overheated. #3J - AHRMA National Motocross Vintage and Post Vintage - 50+ Expert and Sportsman 250 Expert and TVRC - Vintage A and GP3 A Keep the 2-stroke videos coming. If you can, show some fast Vintage racing (pre long travel suspension)! I think it would be some great footage! Me and a couple of the other fast guys battle it out on the ol 4” travel suspension bikes for the AHRMA National Championship!
8:44 and GasGas can now log /track all the owners of their bikes data , location etc. Then have the upper hand for being able to VOID any warranty claims coz they know how you treated the bike through out its whole history. On top of that, free feed back, essentially convincing someone to buy their product, allow total control and access which acts as feedback to the company to know and what went when said happens etc, then void your warranty for some BS excuse them only to convince you to buy these “upgrades/mods” in hope help prevent the engineers and company over all f up’s !
Oh no Max. That's the closest you have been to Sean yet and that was on a 4 stroke. You're going to have to up your 2 stroke game. How does the Gas Gas compare to the Triumph?
The subscription just by principle is kinda sucky but I understand why they do that commercially, plus it's an incentive for the manufacturer to keep the software up to date and fix bugs. Let's hope so 😅
I’m half way though watching this and all that stuff suspension pipe new frame etc and 2 tenths of a second for sean faster hum how much is that 10 grand per tenth
You need to watch it until the end John... the suspension is next level to be fair. We've both ridden it on rougher tracks since making this video and Sean doesn't like his suspension on his own bike now...lol. Thanks for watching as always.

The drone cam is amazing!

Keep them coming 👍
I would like to see a comparison enduro v Moto X bike on a track
Eg yam WR v yam YZF

I can't believe how quick you got to 300k subscribers! Well done man!🤙👊
Cheers :)
Well deserved! See you at 500k 🎉

yep, its coming out to play very soon :)

Ace job guys. Love that bike.👍
Thanks Mark

Would/does the average rider feel the lack of flex?

Basically i believe here in the US there will be no Factory Race Team support.
Max you chocked the bike with the traction control.
With that app you could do a double blind test.
Mmm so how do u work out flex again a 23 model when the bike u got runs a trax rear shock and probably cone vale fronts, seems a tad poinless
17:48 Sean left the TCS on
How much is the subscription cost for the gasgas+ data logger?

No notification yesterday 🤬🤬🤬
What track is this
Oh no Max. That's the closest you have been to Sean yet and that was on a 4 stroke. You're going to have to up your 2 stroke game. How does the Gas Gas compare to the Triumph?
You're a 2stroke man way
I love my 2 strokes for sure. We've got some very cool smoker stuff coming up;)
IMO Nanny aids are unfair and shouldn't be used, let the rider and the bike determine the winner not the technology!!!!!! BTW great video.
kaplen has all the new gasgas

From what I understand there are no Race Teams racing the GasGas bikes.
The use ktm but put gas gas graphics on it@@gmoney6595
@@gmoney6595 not next year. This is the last year for the Troy-Lee Gas-Gas team.
too bad there going bye bye. but how many brands can have the same bike???
Hi
Hi :)
Not a 2 stroke
First
Can I get a bike for free?
haha, it took us 16 years to get a bike for free..lol and we only have it for a few weeks.
