    Thanks, guys! I am going to replace the rad on my Forester 2006 in a few days. I was pretty sure this is not gonna be difficult, but I know the exact steps now.

    Next time disconnect the trans cooler lines from the metal ones that face down its much easier that way

    Love the videos man, I have a Subaru just like yours, same year and everything. Till what line should the fans kick on? Cause when it’s just running my fans don’t kick on till the 3 quarter mark, I don’t know if that’s normal, pls let me know

      I think the fans are supposed to turn on once it reaches a programmed temperature.

    Did you have head gasket issues causing The radiator to become pressurized with
    Combustion gases blowing it? Are
    Radiator failures common in these cars?

      @KBrosAuto  2 роки тому +2

      No head gasket issues to my knowledge, I haven't heard of radiator failures being common, but that was the stock radiator on a car with over 250k miles.

    Why weren’t the hoses replaced ? Is it okay to just replace the radiator n not replace the hoses

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  Рік тому

      You can skip hoses, it is best if they are replacementas well, also depends on the size of the hose attachments on the new radiator.

    Thank you for the video man!
    I have a few questions.
    Replaced the radiator and when I removed the bottom right hoses there came out a black liquid. Is that normal? is it oil or just old coolant?

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  Рік тому +1

      not sure, it's possible oil is got in with the coolant, which would be a bad sign. However, it's likely that it was just old coolant that has been over heated.

      if you are referingto the small hoses - it's transmission fluid

    What coolant did you use to fill?

      I think it was a 50/50 Resolute
