I never thought this video, and the series as a whole, would have such an impact on me. This series single-handedly rekindled my interest of Runescape after not playing since high school so many years ago, and the pain and victory of this finale gave me a huge and much needed boost in motivation to push forwards on a personal project I've felt slowly dwindling.
Though I expected deaths at the end, I never expected one that was so heartbreaking as the one at 20 HP, and my heart was pounding the entire time. The utter defeat in your voice was soul-crushing, so I can't even imagine how you felt at that moment. That stunned silence afterwards was where I waited, holding my breath to see what the next step was. As you gained your pace again, that familiar feeling of "grinding for a better tomorrow" came back. I am legitimately in awe of how you bounced back so fast, even despite that absolutely devastating loss. I think most of us would have been crushed and faltered, even though we were so close, so pushing past that didn't seem easy.
As the video length got shorter and shorter, I knew victory was in sight, but I was not at all ready for the sucker punch to the feels at 38:45. I am by no means an emotional person, but the slight disbelief mixed with joy in the first "yes", with each sequential cry being filled up with more and more joy, made tears reflexively well up in my eyes. While this goal may seem inconsequential in the grand scheme, we ascribe meaning to life ourselves, and being able to share in this joy with you is something that won't leave my mind so easily. You've truly earned your spot as one of my favorite content creators, and the unfiltered enthusiasm you bring to your craft is something that is inspiring.
Just when I was basking in the shared victory, the ending sequence hit me out of left field so hard that my vision got fuzzy (from tears). The music, the presentation, the animation, and the meaning are absolutely world class and all of those pieces working together made something that easily ranks in my top 5 for animation AND ending sequences of anything I've ever seen. I started the journey interested after Episode 1 released, and ended the journey enthralled with this absolute masterpiece of a finale. I truly believe you are the greatest Runescape UA-camr that has ever been on this platform, one of the greatest UA-camrs on the platform as a whole, and thank you from the bottom of my heart that I was able to experience this with you.
This is the beginning of something amazing and I think we all can agree that "this changes everything." Settled, I am so excited to see where you go next, and I (and many others) will be watching every step of the way.

I couldn't agree more that he's one of the best on the platform, irrespective of content or topic. No one crafts a story quite like him and makes us feel the highest highs and lowest lows. Yo same. I discovered Settled from his very first Tileman video, and that made me want to play Runescape again because it made me discover the Runelite plugin. I then went back and watched Swampletics, and now that both series are over I'm all emotional and don't know what to watch next.

My whole body broke out in a sweat in response to the final sequence after his success! How did a RuneScape story become so incredible and inspiring?! 😢
If I could like this a billion times I would. I started watching your series for the first time just after my mother in law passed from cancer. Dude, you've helped me get through it and felt it when you said you wanted it to be done but i really just wanted to say thank you for the time you have spent on this. The days you have spent on this would save thousands of ours.

Around three years ago, I finally gave in and clicked on "RuneScape's Rarest Impling" in my recommendations to see what hundreds of thousands of watchers saw in that series. Within three minutes, I'd clicked off that video so I could catch up from Episode one, and have now religiously watched every video release since then. It's incredible to see how you've grown as a content creator, and I truly believe your success has led to a golden age of content for what is literally a medieval themed point-and-click game. Happy to say "I was here." for this moment, and I cannot wait to see what comes next. But for now, rest easy King.

Can absolutely relate to this. Started playing August 2004, quit because I got stuck in Ernest the Chicken maze, made my second account in October 2004. Haven't played for over 10 years now after maxing etc but I've never missed an episode. Swampletics and McTile bring me happy times. Again, I also felt a little tickle in my eye. Thank you Settled! ❤

@@monaflipas1624 For you maybe. But for a lot of us, it stayed with Settled. Because he had the ridiculous persistence to complete this. One of the few UA-camrs who has consistently stuck with any long term project he decided to do, even if the engagement lessened. Not just for the people who love his content, but also himself.
I've been following McTile since basically day one, when UA-cam randomly recommended it to me, and it's been an amazing journey watching you go from nothing to this, I hope you had an amazing time making it, and I can't wait to see what you do next.

I've got to say, you're one of the best story tellers that I've ever seen. Coming up with this way of playing the game is one thing, but you really bring the adventure to life with how you narrate and the little touches that you do like that 770k xp counter for the herblore grind. So I stumbled on your channel when Mc Tile started (maybe episode 2 or something like that). I knew nothing of RuneScape. Started watching the first video and I was hooked! You are an amazing story teller! I could feel the pain of that grind and I could relate thinking back when I finally got my bachelor degree when I was 35 😵... Now time to binge watch Swampletics!

Bro I can't believe I almost cried over a Runescape video. Congratulations man! This is the best Runescape video, perhaps the best gaming video I have ever seen. The skill and dedication this took on a gameplay level, combined with the amazing editing was just so good. And that ending scene + the song made me almost shed a tear. 😂 However, you kinda sounded a bit burned out in the end, which is very understandable. If you ever feel like you need a break from videos, or just from Runescape in general, I'm sure everyone will understand. Your editing, storytelling and dedication are valuable skills that will take you far in life, even beyond Runescape. I'm excited to see whats next!

The ending to this series, Swampletics and also the end of The Bronzeman series from Framed got me teary eyed lmao. Like you I never dreamed that an ending to a series of a game that I've played off and on since 2001 could make this grown man cry but damnit they did. If you ask me I think Rs creators like Settled, Torvesta and Framed put out better videos, storylines and quality than 99% of the junk that's on tv.
His Swampletics series has a similar emotion evoking finale, highly worth watching

To say that your content is amazing is an understatement, I've never had an interest in RuneScape my entire life but watching that very first episode of the series I was captivated and followed every step of the way. Don't come at individuals, come at the ideals dude. I am very much anti-trans. But the individuals and what they do in their personal life are not to blame. I can almost guarantee Hananniee has never done anything to bring personal emotional/physical harm your way. He probably doesn't even know you exist. If you have to seek to harm an individual to defend your ideology, either your ideology is bad or you don't understand what youre fighting for. And being against the trans movement is not objectively bad, because objective good and bad do not really exist. So that leaves one option. You need to do a lot of reflection and understand why it is you feel the way you do. If it's because you have some ideology that's been passed down from your parents/elders, you need to learn to think for yourself. Once you do that, you need to work toward a way to stand by your beliefs without needing to sink so low as to witchhunt in a comment section of a point and click video game on youtube. @@MbMageBank

Can't believe I'm wellin up to a Runescape series. I have also never felt so much stress while watchimg a Runescape video as I have watching you do the Inferno. You took my afk, chill out, braindead game and gave me soooooo much emotional investment Settled.
Great work man, this series is one of the best of UA-cam, maybe even *the* best. I rarely watch every video of a series for osrs content, but this was a masterpiece. Your commitment is insurmountable to most and your execution of the content from it is just as admirable. And that outro was just... remarkable.
Thank you for this series man. You reignited my love for Runescape with it and I got my first Fire Cape, killed Graardor, got my Barrows Gloves, and beat Dragon Slayer 2 for the first time, amidst so many other accomplishments with my first time doing a vast majority of membership content (grew up f2p only).

This series is why I started playing Runescape again. The community's passion, creativity, and genuine love for the game is inspirational, and I am so proud to be a small part of it. Thank you Settled, not just for three incredible series, but for rekindling my love for a game I'd long since forgotten about; for teaching me how to engage and grind (When I was first training magic I used your canoe to Lava Dragons strat since my bank was so small, and Swampletics basically got me through SotF and has inspired me to aim for the ToB as my first end game raid), and for being the reason I have new memories to treasure. I'll never forget my first bronze armor set as a kid, or my first mil now. Thank you for sharing your passion with us, it has meant more to me then you can know.

This has been a great and long road, I loved thinking about the time between episodes as you grinded away on each accomplishment! So pumped for the youtooz, not gonna miss that and remember this series forever.

Your resilience is incredible and you deserve every bit of recognition you get for these. This was so beautiful. I've been there since the 4th episode, and I've been hooked ever since. You've brought so much joy to the community far beyond just Runescape. You've brought back fond memories for so many current and past players, and you've restoked the sense of wonder and exploration with the game. Every server has a block of imitation McTiles running around, having a blast playing the game.
Thank you so much for this. This ending was the only way this series could have ended. Nothing else would've felt right.

Settled is the goat, through and through. This is a masterpiece as is everything you do. Thank you for putting all the time and effort into your videos. I am always astounded at how perfectly you match the video/montage/animation intro or outro to a song. This episode and, in particular, the end animation and song took me from hooked on the series to emotionally connected and unexpectedly moved by it all. McTile was 18 months I have eagerly awaited and thoroughly enjoyed. Big Love Settled, Congratulations.
