"is that something that I do" haha, I love it I gotta put that one in the repertoire. Robert is a cutie pieeee I live in Oregon so I really needed this video, thanks!
Wow that looked alot easier than I thought. For some reason I thought you had to seal the whole board, well not the entire thing but most of it. Good to know it's just the electrical components.🤙🏾
What about waterproofing around the LED light bars? Recommended or Not? The lenses are only mounted with a double sided tape gasket which is only water resistant. Thanks.
add a +1 next to the boards that are badgered. thanks for the guidance and the kit. why the hell doesn't FM do this when they're manufacturing these boards tho! question for ya if you're still peepin this tho - can i use this same kit to badger an XR?
Awesome, this looks super simple! The kit is already so inexpensive, but will FloatLife sell vents and/or syringes separately in the future (probably not even worth the shipping?)?
To be honest I've always went out in heavy rain, puddles, deep puddles, never had an issue with water at all, the only "extra" I have on my Pint is the power connector cap. It would be really really really interesting if you did a waterproofing video on something like the GT40 battery..... 😁
In a Q&A with some of the float life guys a while back they mentioned that they don't waterproof their boards due to it only lasting a month, and the silicone makes it hard to repair the board later on if there are any problems with the board. Is that true? Would love to know how long the waterproofing is supposed to last. Thanks guys, love the videos.
Based on experience, this is more of an issue with older model boards. The GT process is way easier/quicker and you can still get into the controller without having to ruin the silicone. As long as the silicone remains undisturbed, the board should remain sealed for quite a while; potentially even the life of the board. That said, vibrations and expansion/contraction due to seasonal temperature changes could impact the effectiveness of the seal over time.
@@fixmypev Thanks for the info, I live in Washington so having a waterproofed board would come in handy. However, since it isn’t an exact science I’ll still be avoiding water as much as possible. Thanks again for the response. FOMF
@@LastZacNA Awesome! I’m actually currently visiting Washington. The moisture is no joke. It’s always a good idea to limit exposure to moisture; even after Badgering as you stated.
i just did the onewheel xr with TFL kit, i know there's another video from 1wheelparts but it'd be nice if you could add levels or make another video with your kit since it's kind of different, the liquid silicone didn't have a label and there are additional parts that i've no idea what they're meant for lol.
I just placed an order with you guys for the bearing seal and the float protector but didn’t order this cause I thought it might void my warranty if it doesn’t that really sucks I didn’t order it with my order. Lol
Hey TFL, awesome vid! Weird question, how do you use those two DJI mics so close together without them picking up the other person? Your setup sounds great! Much love.
Badgered my plus when the xr came out, it survived being stuck in a downpour that killed my buddy bms in his xr. Def need to protect your onewheel from the o shit days…
I literally was whipping down a grass hill and out of nowhere I hit a hole. Fully submerged my one wheel Gt in almost a foot of water and yes I went flying LMAO. The grass was the same height so I couldn't see it!! NO caps on! Picked it up and it was just pissing water. I shut it off and let it dry since I was 8 miles from home had to wait it out. Thankfully it was toasting that day. happened to me one other time and its STILL KICKING.. Crazy how some peoples just brick from hitting puddles:(
Did you ever get this sorted out? Mine fills up in like 20 seconds and I have tried everything. Wherever it’s leaking from is not anything mentioned in this video or any other I could find
@@IAmSarlosCantana mine seemed to be filling up about the same speed as in the video maybe even slower. Just make sure the motor cable and footpad cable are sealed good. Also make sure the glands that go from your battery to front controller box are tight. And make sure your gasket is not pinched in the lid because that could cause a leak. 👍 hope this helps you resolve the issue
@@heatedgreen94 Sorry to bother you again but what do you mean by "glands"? Are you talking about the part that goes around the cable as it exits the controller box? The part that gets squeezed really tight when you tighten the nut that holds the cable in place?
@@IAmSarlosCantanaThe part of the main battery harness cable where it connects to the controller box and the battery box. Make sure the nut and the other piece are tight on both sides. My main leak was on the left side of my motor cable
By any chance, did you guys ever play big heads mode with slaps only? 🤣 Just the first thought that came to mind when I saw your thumbnail. - why is his head so big? 😄
Seems like the GT needs much less waterproofing than the XR. Didn't even need to do the footpad, I remember my XR back in the days needing much more work
Anyone else have a leak where the cable enters the “brain box”? I’ve followed all the steps but mine is still leaking air like a mf and I can literally hear the air coming out the spot where the cable goes into the computer. I feel like I should just seal that up too but I don’t think they did anything like that in the video so I’m a little scared
@@fireball18k95 never fixed it! and never heard from anyone else who had the same problem. it may not be 100% waterproofed but it’s certainly water resistant and i don’t intend on taking it into a lake so i’m satisfied enough. wish i could help you better!

Do you have a store where you sell these?? Do they have a conflict with the onewheel app that indicates battery level??
With just that kind of sealing, how much waterproofing di i get, heavy rain, pond, pool, river?

Do I get TP45 bit with Badger kit? I just saw some answers on reddit and they said that this bit is included. (not key)
Would it be recommended to do this as soon as you purchase your board before it gets dirty from usage?
