Mr you are my kinda man. I have a Ford 1900 that I lost key then I jammed up the key ignition. Then I would just use a screw driver on solenoid. Now I get nothing. I took off solenoid but mine fits flush where yours has that collar. I can’t find replacement. Any suggestions. I saw one at yesterday tractor but didn’t look right.
I would maybe try and take the solenoid off, look for any part numbers hidden on it anywhere. If still no luck, maybe bring the old solenoid into a parts store and see if they can match something up. I know sometimes on websites, they use a generic picture just to give you an idea of what it looks like, not the exact model. Maybe try calling yesterdays tractors and see if they can point you in the right direction? I wish you luck.
Can always clean up the contacts, and the two solenoid posts can be turned around for new metal..good job and tutorial
Thanks
