@@TDMStyle how is this compared to the OG TSB ? That was my Holy Grail, the whole Reformulations from MM to TSB 1 & 2 to MSB & SMSB I didn‘t like so much as the OG TSB. You mentioned this also in your MSB Review the Texture isn‘t like the TSB anymore THANKS

I tried the new super hold Morris Motely MSB (I forget exactly what it's called). I would say it's a barely stronger hold than the normal MSB with a slightly waxier look, which I don't like. I've been able to achieve the same hold with the normal MSB by layering in a bit more, which works for me without weighing my hair down.
Thanks for this review, by the way. Kinda hard to tell through video, but given everything you said about the Fuertes balm, with regards to the clay feel and all, would you say this has a more clay like texture rather than a waxy one? Seems like an interesting product either way, especially with the comparisons to MSB, which I feel they're charging more for now simply because of the fancier packaging--and I'd take a plain cardboard box and plastic jar any day if I could save a few more bucks.
Yes this def has a more clay-like coarse texture rather than a waxy one. It behaves something like a matte paste but not as dry.

Cheers Chris! Well MSB and TSB02 to me seem like basically the same thing. They do really plump the hair a lot, which is why it makes it feel tangly for me, but probably would be better for fine-haired folks. Fuertes balm also plumps but not as aggressively. Harvest Moon I don't remember having too much of a plumping effect and was a nice smooth application.

That new shorter cut looks great! What's the length? If I wanted my hair in a similar short cut as yours, what would I say to my barber/stylist?
Thanks!! The front is probably about 4.5 inches or so (just barely past my eyebrows) and it’s tapered to probably around 2 inches at the back. Highly textured, and sides blended so not too disconnected. And the sides were faded 👏🏻
Hey, I've been using Shear Revival Northern Lights and I love how light weight it is. However, the hold is not firm enough for me, do you have suggestions (I live in Europe and 30 $ US maximum is my budget)? Preferably no shine and a bit pliable.
Are you buying from Moquer? If so definitely try out the SalonGuy Cream Hair Clay. I've also heard Cub & Co clay is great, but haven't tried that one yet myself.
@@TDMStyle Yeah I could buy from Moquer. I've got fine middle length hair. Usually I style a (off centered)middle part or side part. I was also looking at SalonGuy Crafted matte paste which one would you recommend for me? I'll try that one out.
You should try Root and Muddle’s Matte Clay. Unorthodox vegan clay with incredible hold, easy to restyle throughout the day, good day 2 hold, and don’t need much at all. Been my go-to for awhile now even after trying some new products recently for fun

Is this stronger than their reformulated clay? Do you have a preference between the products or are they too different to compare?
This I feel is stronger than the clay for me. I think I like the clay better as a daily driver and this one for situations where I want something super textured that isn’t gonna move haha

I wouldn’t compare them. Gray Ghost is completely different - I have a review of it from a while back.

I bought this very expensive product based on your review. It's one of the best I've ever tried in terms of performance, but the scent is really unpleasant! I agree with your assessment that it smells like suntan lotion, but only if the bottle of lotion was left outside in a hot garage for at least two years past the expiration date. It also has a strange note that reminds me of American cheese or band-aids.
Unfortunately, the scent is pretty strong and continues to project throughout the day. It's a deal-breaker for me and now I'm stuck with a $40 paperweight!

Completely different. The styling balm is orange blossom scented which kinda smells like sunscreen.

I haven’t used Oasis in a while, and I’ve never tried its latest reform so I can’t really say. But I would def not compare it with the liquidy Oasis that I have.

Nice review. Just can't understand why this is twice the price of almost every other home brewed product. There are so many other solid products can be had for half the price. But enjoyed your review.

The price of the organic ingredients he uses is high. Plus imo it counts for something that it’s being brewed by a professional hair stylist too.
