- Transferring graphic images to furniture or wood, adds a whole new dimension to your project. In this video, I am using Fusion's Transfer Gel to transfer my image, then I show you how to use Fusion's Antiquing Glaze to seal and finish with a lovely aged look.

Good tutorial, thank you!
You're welcome!
I wonder if sanding it before glazing would get rid of your cut lines on the paper. It would mean aging/distressing it.
Yes, Lorraine, it does minimise them quite a bit. I have tried this on other graphics I've transferred, distressing the edges lightly. Sometimes it does wear the paint too, so you have to be happy with the distressed look.
I need to find out how to do this technique with no cut outline showing. I just know there must be a way.
I like your info. You did a good job explaining. One suggestion I have is turn off the music once the intro is over. I found it very distracting and the repetiviness drove me bonkers. Please understand I really like your video; I'm not being a crank. Thank you for posting and sharing your knowledge with us.

I find this with SO MANY UA-cam videos and it also drives me bonkers. I have tried turning volume off in lieu of captions but I find it challenging to read them and watch the video. I also tried turning the volume down when and instructor increases it when they pause from speaking but then have to turn it back up in order to hear when person starts speaking again. I end up turning the video off all together and not watching those videos anymore which is too bad because they would otherwise be good and informative. Music is simply NOT necessary for tutorial videos. Thankfully, this gal doesn’t keep the music on throughout her video but I totally agree, her intro music should have stopped the second she started speaking! Her teaching style is otherwise quite good (I’m a former instructor).
Since many chalk-type paints are reactivated by water (how you’d purposefully do wet distressing), does the transfer gel, once dried, prevent the background paint from coming off when you add water and rub off the paper?
Yes it would.
Was your graphic printed with an ink jet or laser printer?
Probably my home ink jet, but I have found that Laser printers produce best results for long term durability.
i am from egypt i dont have transfer gel
i need something like it here do u recommond something like that
You can try Mod Podge if you have that?
Can l mix water varnish with acrilic paint to get this glaze
Sorry for my bad english
LAIAN TV I’m not sure. I’ve never tried it. You could experiment and see if it works on a piece of wood.
There is so much information that isn’t included in this video that we need to know!!
Really? Let me know what else is missing and I'll do my best to answer it in comments here (check through comments to see if it's already been answered) or I can use the questions for future tutorials to help others. Appreciate you letting me know.
Wich paper did you use?! Is it A4 normal paper or special paper?!
regular A4 paper
Do you use a laser or an inkjet printer for the image?
laser is better and lasts longer
Is this an ink jet printed image?
I believe it was but I do find that laser prints are better at not fading over time.
Hi, what printer do you use? Thanks
Best to use a laser printer for these as other printers like ink jet can sometimes fade or ‘bleed’.
Is there a brand or serial number for the laser printer you use? There are so many out there I don’t know which one to choose.
Lynette Johnson I don’t have one. I get them printed at a copy Centre. I have an ink jet printer at home which still works for this project, but can fade after several years.
modge podge whats the difference,,nil
I'm not sure on the different ingredients in each, but I'm assuming they are similar. I find Mod Podge to be a little more runny in consistency, but both do a great job of both transferring graphics and general decoupage. Mod Podge has a few different types for use on different type projects, so make sure you read the label to ensure you are using the type for your specific project.
I've tried this technique twice and each time the image never stays...always wipes off. I left it for at least 12hrs up to 24hrs. I've been so gentle when I wipe off but still never works 😥
Laura, it depends on the type of printer you have, laser printers work best, some say ink jet printers work, but I have had the ink jet not stick either. If you don't have a laser print printer, you can get it printed off at most UPS Stores, Kinkos etc for a few cents. Hope this helps, I know how frustrated I was when that happened.
