Everyone is analyzing the reactions of all the mercs, but people seem to have forgotten that all of these reactions are part of heavy's *imagination*. they never actually happened and are probably inaccurate, since heavy has such a low self-esteem.

Instead of bearing that possibility, he shuts the toolbox, hoping he'll go away. But alas, he remains. As Heavy speaks, his head shrinks into his shoulders, indicating embarrassment as he hides into his massive frame. He is afraid to open up. Engineer then speaks on how he is not someone he should ask, but instead of screaming at him, or any other form of maliciousness, he slowly lowers the lid. Pointing to that he still wants to help Heavy, hoping that he may think of something before he closes it, and not to see his friend for the last time. Medic: Medic is another complicated one. Looking past the possible irony of the Medic telling Heavy to kill himself, another layer may exist. Playing 4D chess, Medic is trying to make light of Heavy's problem with humor. Downplaying it, as if it wasn't all that bad, and that Heavy can move on. Medic could have also been taking a gamble, that Heavy WOULD actually try and end his life, but he wouldn't have the guts to do it. Thus attempting to trigger a, "awakening" experience that some people have whenever they cannot go through suicide. Sniper: He is an unfortunate case. Heavy simply approached Sniper, who we can assume to be quite the introvert, at the wrong time. Sniper was having a private moment, which Heavy intruded on. Among Introverts, this kind of personal time is very important, and Sniper was simply not in the mood to help anyone. As Sniper is an Introvert, not only would he be at a disadvantage at reading Heavy's intentions(being an introvert and all, focusing on oneself), as an Introvert, he would understand personal emotions and conflicts such as Heavy's and been able to provide valuable insight. It's a shame, and he lashes out at Heavy, not giving him a chance. Spy: The most deep of them all though, is Heavy's encounter with Spy, as they are both of slight nuances of each other's different sides of the previous interactions. Firstly, Heavy himself. Instead of confessing his mental state, he jumps to the chase to announce his intentions. That is, to end his own life. Saying this, he believes that (seemingly, to him) almost no other members of the team cared about his problem, and that Spy would be no different. Though, this is not the case. Heavy's posture also indicates a sense of defeat, that this is the last person he could talk to, and, "It's not like he's gonna care...no one else did..." and he peels from the wall, and walks away, slouched. Spy though, appears to be open minded, and is ready to try and understand him. Heavy though, takes on a morph of Medic's and Sniper's reaction to his problem, and reacts in a passive aggressive(Sniper) strangely humorous(Medic) way. Heavy seems to back out of wanting help, and instead reverts to a thin and weak mask of humorous self degradation, possibly looking for a way out of an uncomfortable situation. This situation being, of course, opening up to someone else. ...or it could just be a funny SFM lol

I just love how Spy acts so realistically. His immediate reaction to hearing Heavy say he’s gonna kill himself, with just slowly lowering his cigarette, it’s subtle, and takes only 5 seconds, but it’s just so funny to me, somehow, especially since he’s apparently a figment of Heavy’s imagination.

Demo is an example of a well meaning person contributing nothing to help the depressed individual in any meaningful way. Well intentioned, but not helpful. Demo in this vid probably has his own list of mental problems he isn’t dealing with and in turn only offered the solution that he came to- drinking

I have a theory. This SFM is connected with the Heavy is Dead. See, in heavy is dead, everyone other than heavy dies. In this, the heavy only IMAGINES what It would be like talking to his (now dead) team. Why wouldn't the heavy just ask? Answer: EVERYONE IS DEAD. The Heavy also might have gotten depression after realizing his team is dead, that would also explain why he only imagines what the team would say. At the end, the heavy gives up and kills himself. Just like the title of HEAVY IS DEAD! Now, the heavy IS wearing cosmetics in Heavy is dead BUT nobody said he can't just take them off. So, in conclusion, the story goes: Heavy gets shot and falls to the ground. Heavy's team all die one way or another while thinking that the heavy is dead. The only survivors are the Pyro and the Heavy. In between the heavy is dead and this video, The Heavy realizes that his team is dead and realizes the consequences. In this "sequel", the Heavy tries his own best to cure depression by imagining what his team would have said, If the heavy got depression while they all were still alive. The heavy thinks that all of them would be negative about it, leading to the Heavy committing suicide. OR I am overthinking, but I'll just go with the Theory.

I think people missed the point that this is all in Heavy's head: depression is to view things while already wearing negative tinted glasses, so he ends up putting himself down before even trying to seek help. I have a theory. This SFM is connected with the Heavy is Dead.
See, in heavy is dead, everyone other than heavy dies. In this, the heavy only IMAGINES what It would be like talking to his (now dead) team. Why wouldn't the heavy just ask? Answer: EVERYONE IS DEAD. The Heavy also might have gotten depression after realizing his team is dead, that would also explain why he only imagines what the team would say. At the end, the heavy gives up and kills himself. Just like the title of HEAVY IS DEAD! Now, the heavy IS wearing cosmetics in Heavy is dead BUT nobody said he can't just take them off. So, in conclusion, the story goes: Heavy gets shot and falls to the ground. Heavy's team all die one way or another while thinking that the heavy is dead. The only survivors are the Pyro and the Heavy. In between the heavy is dead and this video, The Heavy realizes that his team is dead and realizes the consequences. In this "sequel", the Heavy tries his own best to cure depression by imagining what his team would have said, If the heavy got depression while they all were still alive. The heavy thinks that all of them would be negative about it, leading to the Heavy committing suicide.

I think people missed the point that this is all in Heavy's head: depression is to view things while already wearing negative tinted glasses, so he ends up putting himself down before even trying to seek help. The people didn't reject him or talked him down, the Heavy did in his own mind.
