Humanity would achieve world peace in a matter of hours if the kazotsky kick had the same connotation in the real world as it did in tf2, mark my words
@GGMAN When he said "we have a traitor" soldier means that they were in cahoots. Although there is a good reason he didn't shoot both spies, this is not it. After all, you can see the mask on the spy for your own team, so he knew which was which. I forgot to include the reason my bad: It's simply that he wanted to hear what they had to say before doing what (i'm guessing kicking out of the team) he would've done.
Soldier is like a child, he thinks ks he's correct until a adult disagrees with him, this can go two ways. One, he will not listen to anyone insisting he is correct, or two, he will agree with the adult
Oddly, the part with no audio due to copyright made that scene somehow more better. Soldier yelling at scout who probably in his mind just is tuning him out
A scarily realistic rendition of depression caused by antisocialism and loneliness. I've felt a lot of these things myself; the mistakes brought on by trying to detach, the demotivation to put in any effort, the tuning out of anything and everything, the emptiness, having zero happiness from things that usually bring you joy, the staying up for hours merely contemplating life itself; all of these feelings are captured perfectly. And I think the silence during Soldier's speech is a lot louder than any audio that could have been included. Incredible, and a good showcase of how to respond to an isolative person who's going through a rough time. Peeps just need a little positivity thrown their way from time to time, even if brief. Awesome :)
Your comment kinda contextualises the heavy figure, on his night stand When scout arrives at the spawn, he's generally met with megativity. Pyro is the odd one out, happy to see scout, but he's childish with no real priorities, so it might not mean that much and engineer can tell something's off, but he doesn't say anything But Heavy, who's much more emotionally mature, is smiling at scout, it seems like he's sincerely happy to see him and to someone who feels depressed, that probably means the world, so he keeps a memento of him There's probably more to it, but that's what I took away from that
Thanks man this has helped me a good bit in understanding this I know someone going through something like this and I don't really understand much of it this comment has helped me visualize it in a way where I had an easier time understanding so thank you I really mean it
I'm writing just to say that I appreciate and love the support I am getting in the comments, your words are heartwarming to me, I haven't been proud of myself for a while now and this helps me...
About you not being proud, I know what it's like and i just want to say, if you can make at least a mediocre sfm then you should be very proud. Well done. uh. im not good at being nice. uuuuuhhhhhh. F***ing congratulations on making a good sfm (i dont know anything encouraging to say)
Aww Np! I don’t mean to be that r/im14andthisisdeep person but I’ve been having a lot of thoughts and feelings for quite some time and It makes me happy that I can watch an SFM that I can somewhat relate to, so I just wanted to say thank you for putting a lot of effort into it and just making this video in general. And if your going through anything right now then I hope you get well soon! ^^✨💙 (Sorry if this kinda sounded cringy I’m not very experienced when it comes to commenting long comments like these :,D)
Seeing this comment just wants me to say you should be proud of yourself! And the Sfm it was really enjoyable! Im for a longer period of time depressed because of various reasons, but seeing RED scout meeting BLU engineer let me see that you are not alone on it and can support eachother, so thanks :)
i did NOT expect the kazotsky kick to be the very thing that gets me bawling my eyes out. watching this for the first time is an experience i will never get back. kudos
Yeah. I was smiling so hard on the while scene. That Kazotsky dance + tf2 characters with good voice-lines makes it so, so good. A perfect ending and an excellent scene to come back if feeling down
@pyro "started updating tf2" the only real update weve had is the halloween update, which is the only update we get now, once a year. tf2 is on life support
Here's a fun little thing about Soldier when he does the katzoscky kick, his eyes are looking up at his helmet you can see it when it flies off. The part at the end allowed me to see that
Believe it or not, the lack of music and speech from 4:03-4:48 makes it even better. You can't even hear what Solder is saying but you KNOW he's disappointed. It really adds a new layer of tension and suspense. You don't need to know what he says; you already have a good idea.
@@Sapphiregamer8605 "That was an amazing kill streak... For the OTHER TEAM! Which one of you numbnuts let us down." "You have disgraced this entire team."
I'm not going to lie to you, this isn't the most impressive animation I've ever seen, this isn't the best story animation I've ever seen, but this is the one with most heart behind it. One of the best 17 minutes ever of my life, thank you. As a former suicide contemplating man, this really did mean so much to me.
I know this SFM is great and all, but this guy is more genius than what's on the surface. During the night scene, the times on the phone represent timestamps on the video. 0:57 is when scout glances at his phone. However, at the timestamp 0:57, Scout also glances at his phone. Before Scout picks up the gun, the clock says 3:08. At that timestamp, Scout gets shot in the head. While Scout has a gun up against his head, time passes from 4:12, to 4:25. This is exactly the same time the Soldier was beating down on Scout, and also lasts long enough for Heavy to give him a worried look, when during the finale, he is the first to start dancing. Finally, when the alarm goes off at 8:00, Scout decides not to pull the trigger, and at the timestamp 8:00, is when he meets the blue Engie. Don't let this comment go unnoticed. Pokyface is a genius for thinking of this.
@@nihiladest8688 yeah same. I’m not used to the 24-hour clock so when it said 0:57, I thought it was a timer. Like I thought we had a plan to kill himself in 57 minutes or something. And then I realized that it was just military time.
That beginning... that aching feeling of "should I get up?" "It can... wait right?" Then that forceful way of getting up after... The way you ignore the obvious alarms to get the day started, the way you just wanna lay back down and not worry about anything. The way the only place you feel safe is by yourself, yet even by yourself you slowly peel yourself apart. Listening to the whispers and echoes of your suicidal thoughts, pressing deeper and deeper into your back, until your sitting at the edge of your bed, so close to ending it all. Letting death wrap it's warm embrace around you, and letting the worries slip away... yet something always keeping you from doing it. It's always something. This animation captures depression perfectly. I love this SFM because it's written by someone who actually knows how it feels. Knows that numbness, knows the way you have to force yourself to act okay.
It was my birthday the other day and no one celebrated or remember but a tf2 server decided to go friendly when I told them to celebrate I’ll always cherish that memory
this animation truely shows what bad mental health can do to someone, thats something what everyone should have in mind, if they are with someone and they are feeling down, to not mke it worse otherwise they might end up on the wrong path, and to instead, try to talk to them, see what the problem is and try to fix the problem, or to do somehting to lift the mood up 9.7/10 animation
I never could have guessed I could have seen such accurate depictions of depression, anxiety, friendship, and betrayal, in a TF2 video. I can't overstate how deeply emotional this made me. I'm not kidding when I say this made me shed a tear. And in the end, like all CTF matches, it devolves into an impromptu dance party, true to the spirit of TF2.
I'll admit they had us in the first half But that last part was such an unexpected and wholesome turn Remember to Kazotsky Kick when your friends are down, boys
So sfm looks good but story just too weird You have a scout thats late for fighting then does not join the fight when others fight goes home almost kills himself for no reason then scout and engie just sit next to each other next day kill their whole team and so on im not good with making a story myself i only do VA but i mean really
@@lucazeroblueversion9346 The whole point of the story is that the Scout is going through a routine that he finally hates, he knows that its going to be a curse so he wants to kill himself, he has no motivation to wake up in the morning, the engie is living the same thing but he keeps winning, and has no motivation, so he stops everything because he knows his team doesn't need him. I was okay with most of the pointed out flaws of the story and I actually agree with them, but this is just ridiculous, I don't think you followed the video very well. Sorry if I sound salty.

I love how at the end, scout's smile is the widest. The entire time, we see him smile lightly at best. But now, he looks so happy. This truly is a work of art.
This teaches a lesson that not many people realize. A game is a game, sure you can take it seriously but there are times just like in war where friendship is valued more than bloodshed.
I can not explain just how relatable scout is but there are two differences between us 1 I didn’t kill everyone else to escape torture i got away from suicide and continued living my life 2 i didn’t have a gun so the only other way i tried to end it is jumping off
Blu engineer betrayed his team because red team was so bad they couldn't even reach the intell room so he was useless, he was sitting all the time in the intell room waiting for someone to appear, but no one came, he just gave up.
I've been going through a bad time lately, I really resonate with Scout, feeling like every day is the same old monotony, and wanting it all to end. My friends keep me here though, and TF2 is probably why. I've got a busy life, so I have little time to play, but my friends and our various conversations keep me coming back. We've got silly fanfic projects and stuff, that all leads back to how we met, through TF2. I just wish I had strong enough legs to do the kick...
You got this, take it one day at a time. Jesus loves you and so do your wonderful friends! And trust me, I tried the kick, AINT as easy as it looked but, dont give up, I know you can do it! Hope to hear an update one day soon! God bless💜
Just don't. I'll say it one time and one time only, so listen. Your life has the same worth as anyone and everyone around you, no matter who or what you are. So remember these words, don't forget them.
How two clinicaly depressed players turned an entire server friendly. On a more serious note, I am glad it didn't end in the horrible way I imagined. Thank you for this emotional video.
Wow this is one of the most impactful and touching SFM films I've ever seen. You really did a great job keeping it serious while still containing the soul of TF2.
This was amazing. A well-paced tale with great storytelling and great lighting. A VERY satisfying ending and a friendship that reminded me of RED Demo and BLU Soldier's friendship - except this time it actually ended well. Well done and thank you for making this.
"tryhardy" you mean people actually wanting to.. play the game the way it was designed? istg, people who just suck at the game will call you a tryhard.
I love how at 9:40, Scout just goes to sleep happy because he found someone that he could feel safe and happy around. (BLU engineer) That's the most realistic plot for the feeling of trusting someone when you're sad I have ever seen.
It's bittersweet though. I've read that many people who are suicidal often feel happiness and relief before doing something drastic because they finally made the decision to do the thing that will make it "all better". I took both meanings from this. Happy that he found someone but then realized that they together had made a plan to massacre their teammates!
In the end, no one is enemies. Sure they fight and kill one another but they all learn to forgive and forget. There really isn't any TRUE enemies in TF2. Everyone is your friend and you fight each other for fun and when the 'war' ends, THAT is when you all can have fun together!
Yeah just finished ww3 gonna go hang out with those alien friends I made that we were killing a few minutes ago But in-game yeah sure that's true I guess
Edit:my mistake for not editing this folks 😓, but spoilers below This SFM is absolutely heart warming. I have to say, at the beginning it was depressing, but at the end, the scout and engineer get a happy ending with both teams confronting peacefully and having a dance. You deserve more subscribers
@@theamazingsentrypro2724 yeah. But some people really like looking and laughing at some comments while watching videos, like me. So they probably could at least say "SPOILER!" at the beginning or something. But whatever
I know this video ends really silly, but everyone coming together to give scout something to live for is beautiful. This hit way to personally and i wish it ended like this. Please reach out to people if theyre hurting, even if youre not sure. Even if everyday feels less and less worth waking up for theres always something good that will happen. Even if it takes a long time something good happens, even if its something really small, or as stupid as middle aged men in a line doing the kazotsky kick, *something good will happen*. People still love you.
Even if its just an SFM made for a joke, i feel like this somewhat hits me harder. Really shows just no matter how lonely you feel, there will always be people that can relate to you.
it definitely isn't made for a joke, idk what gave you that idea. the kazotsky kick? i mean, it's partially a joke, but it's also there to symbolize happiness, understanding, catharsis, jubilation, etc.
@@girlfriendhaver1016Every day is precious. You need to surround yourself with better people or take the lonely road. It is YOUR life and don’t let some OTHER people to make it worse. @@nintendonian7776For me, I have felt the same for very long but now I’m learning that it is actually hard work and discipline that makes me happy. Doing the things I love while also doing jobs is beautiful. If you don’t have any goals at the moment that’s fine, you’ll just have to get out there and find some or if you do have some goals, work hard to achieve them. That is how dopamine works. It works when you work towards a goal. Not when you achieve as much, but you still get some when you achieve it. Keep pushing, I believe in you, king! If you need anyone to talk to I’m here hut don’t be worried about talking to people, it can definitely help( it doesn’t mean you have to talk to me specifically.)
Out of all TF2 movies I watched, this struck me emotionally the most. While I never had severe clinical depression that scout is experiencing, I can relate for many details featured in this movie. From my perspective, here is what's going on. Scout unmoving and staring nowhere shows his disconnection from the world. Engy with his inivisibility clock symbolizes the desire of scout to remain unseen and unnoticed by everyone, as if it could ease his pain. The accident where engy loses his clock means to me, that sometimes something should go against what depressed person wishes, so that this person can receive help; if scout could remain invisible forever, he would sure be dead soon. Spy, heavy and soldier show that victim of depression needs support from other people. Some of them (spy) understand a lot about what is happening with their dear buddy, but do not show is immediately; some are blunt but stubborn (soldier) and refuse to leave scout behind even when he is very rude and pushed them away; others deeply empathize with scout, though they have trouble expressing it (heavy). All in all, salvation is collective work. GJ, everyone.
Spot on. And I think there’s something about tf2 that makes it the perfect vessel for this kind of story. I think it has something to do with the nostalgia of the game and the repetition of the matches. It helped me instantly feel what you’re talking about.
The fact that this is 16 min long yet it didnt feel like it, makes it feel surreal. Those moments where he just contemplating as time flies yet it doesn't, almost as if time froze or slowed down just so you can have moment of clarity that may never come..
This describes tf2, when you die so many times and think about quitting you remember all of the good memories(and money)that you spent on the game through out the years, but you fight through to make sure that your team doesn’t lose and make new great memories.
The whole video was kinda dark and depressing, so ya really caught me off guard at the end, lmao. This was a roller coaster. I really felt sad when Scout was contemplating suicide, and I felt happy when he made a friend. You are a master of storytelling.
Reminder to every single one of you that you are a fucking valuable human being who deserves happiness, that it is okay to be upset, that there are people out there who care about you, and that this too shall pass. I know it sounds hollow and I'm not expecting this to change anyone's life or anything, but lads, after three psych ward hospitalizations I can confidently tell you that if you keep going, one day at a time, things will look up. Just one day at a time. Fucking around with strangers in TF2 matches helps too.
@@GiveMeMeatballsImHungry No, you are very much a valuable human being who deserves happiness. Things may seem bad now, but even if the worst is yet to come, things will pass. If there's nobody in your life right now that are there for you, it doesn't mean you'll never find someone who is, it just means you haven't found them yet. If you're going through hell right now, don't give up. Eventually, you'll find the way out, and you don't need a rope or gun to get there. I know it may seem tempting, but there are ways to get out that don't involve death. Even if you don't know any of them, eventually you'll find the method that works, and you'll be able to enjoy life again. The fact that you're being told this by a stranger on the internet already says that there are people out there who can help, even if you don't know where to start looking for them. I might sound like a broken record, but you can do this. Whatever troubles you're going through, you can make it out alive. You just need to keep going, one day at a time, until you get there. I'm not sure if this will help you in any way, but you need to know that you deserve to be happy, and anybody in your life who says otherwise don't know what they're talking about. Stay safe, keep going, don't give up, and eventually, you'll find the light at the end of the tunnel. Not the light from the afterlife, but the light of the sunshine finally coming back into your life.
man this really hit different for me. The feeling of being a disappointment to everyone you care about until someone comes along and makes life worth living. Of course I’m oversharing on the internet but this really made my day. Amazing work, please keep going and making more gems like this! :,)
It'll build our confidence to explore something new. To deny what everyone will say about what game or fandom as long as you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else. Take it from a TF2 fan and Gacha user. I'm always afraid of being put down for my interests because of other disgusting Gacha creators, but I'm just someone who wants to have fun and be a friend. It's never to late to see what other kinds of people are around.
Dude this is just awesome. There's so many elements to it on mental health, war and society, the daily rate race and it's all done so well. You balance humanity into these 3D objects like no SFM ever has. If the saxxys were still a thing you'd be an absolute shoe in my man. I hope to see more work like this from you in the future.
I don't know what it is, but the Kakostky Kick is just...so special. You hear the first few notes and know exactly what comes next. You see all the dances of all the classes in your head. It's just...so absurdly happy
Oh this is very nostalgic.. There was once time where I'm feeling down because of my school and parents. I was so lost in that day I felt like anxiety was taking over my body. But then, I decided to play TF2 on 2Fort, then when I went to the middle part I saw everyone dancing and having fun and there were people giving me advice after hearing my problems. On that day I was so happy that in tf2 community there are people who cares about other gamers too. Thats why TF2 is such a timeless masterpiece!
I cried at the end part before kazotsky kick because i thought they just gonna disgrace the scout and engi in some way, at least this got a good ending hah
Don't worry, even if hes not in the war zone, hes shown at the start in his bed, meaning by minecraft logic scout would respawn, and scout has been in minecraft before, like when when engineer showed up.
This whole SFM is amazing, incredible and very emotional with lots of unexpected twists. It's honestly the best SFM I have ever seen in my life and though the animation could be improved, it's still incredible and the story was fantastic. [Spoilers below] The best part in my opinion was when RED Scout and BLU Engie killed their team and everything that comes after. Soldier's words were twisting the knife on Scout and he couldn't take it anymore, and it didn't help that none of the other team members interfered with the exception of Sniper pointing out how awful Soldier has been to Scout but by then it was too late. I'm a little confused as to why Scout and Engie killed everyone but I believe it's because they're both tired of fighting, dying, winning, losing and never getting anywhere. It's monotonous, and for once, they want silence in the battlefield, no more fighting, no more dying, no nothing. Another reason has to do with the team, specifically Heavy and Sniper. Heavy has shown signs of concern for Scout when he started acting off but never asked if he's okay. As for Sniper, think about it from Scout's perspective; Earlier on Sniper told Scout that he shouldn't have gone out of bed, and later on he called out Soldier's behavior, defending Scout in the process and if someone who said such things suddenly started defending you, you would be angry and lash out which was what Scout did. BLU Engie on the other hand felt useless because as @SHOGUN THE DANK from the comments explained, BLU Engie was put in charge of defending the Intell but because RED team was so bad, they couldn't even reach the intell room so he was useless, sitting and waiting for someone to appear, but no one came, and eventually he just gave up. And it was likely that his Soldier belittled BLU Engie for being useless which was why he snapped and killed his team. The Spies survived because of both the cloaking and possibly because Scout and Engie were too done with everything to even care about killing everyone. They just want some quiet. The Spies understand what needs to be done to prevent the situation from getting worse. The Spies both knew they need help from the other team and they know it, but first, they need to check on their teammate. The part in 11:55 struck out to me because I believe it's Spy showing regret for knowing that his teammate was going through a tough time but not helping Scout before things escalated too far. He wants to help, the other Spy wants to help as well which could be why they didn't stop RED Scout and BLU Engie from killing everyone, but what can they do? They've both ignored the situation to the point where it got out of hand, they didn't approached their teammates, they possibly don't know how to handle the situation and they can't understand what RED Scout and BLU Engie are going through (it's also worth pointing out that Scout and Engie hate spies for various reasons so the Spies possibly didn't want to risk adding fuel to the fire). Meanwhile, the RED team were waiting for their Scout to explain himself for what he did earlier, they didn't know or understand what Scout was going through, especially Soldier who's furious for Scout's betrayal. The Spies approach the RED team and originally Soldier was planning to shoot but decides to listen to what the Spies have to say. Then the RED and BLU team goes up to each other as both Soldiers shook hands as a form of a truce with the other mercs saluting to said truce. They don't understand what RED Scout and BLU Engie were going through at the moment but they know one thing; they need to stop this fight, even if it's just for one day so that they can help their teammates. However, when RED Scout and BLU Engie ran off, they might have been too late. At 13:35, even though Soldier showed no emotions, it's possible that he regretted saying awful things to Scout and pushing him to the point of snapping. That is until BLU Spy found the watch BLU Engie and RED Scout were using to hide themselves and quickly located the missing teammates. When RED Scout and BLU Engie were caught, they expected to be punished, and be killed for what they've done but instead they got something different and unexpected. Their Heavies started dancing the Kazotsky Kick and the other team members joined in. Both teams knew that apologizing to the RED Scout and BLU Engie won't be enough and wasn't what they needed at the moment, so they opted for a better solution, cheering them up, it may not be much but it could be enough. To RED Scout and BLU Engie however, it was more than enough, it makes them ask why they're doing this and gifts them something that is genuinely heart lifting and so they joined in, not wanting to let this moment go to waste. If they are doing this, then does that mean that there is still hope? That it's not just fighting, running, dying, etc? The dance gives RED Scout and BLU Engie a reason to keep going because they want to experience more moments like this. The teams may not be there for them before, but they are now and they're here for their teammates and will help them get through it together. Honestly, this is an incredible video and I want you to know that this is amazing, you're incredible and be sure to take as much time as you need, you deserve all the praise. Thank you so much.
Ok. I was gonna read it until I clicked *Show more*. I'm guessing it's a bunch of praise mixed with a little criticism. But what I really wanted to say is, if this is you writing a comment on a 16 minute TF2 SFM video (an amazing one don't get me wrong) I'd love to see how much you put down on an essay you have to do or something lmao. Sorry for not reading your comment but I don't have much patience rn. Maybe I'll come back one day and decide to read it. And If I do I'll make sure to let you know. Have good day,
Tf2 is not the only one but is a game that have friendlies that basically say : "hey, you play competitively all day, why not just dance and chill/fool around?"
As someone who suffers from and deals with depression and suicidal thoughts on a daily basis, I found this SFM to be a nice breath of fresh air. I can't even begin to describe how horrible depression can be but I feel this animation did a decent job of representing it. Thank you for this
this might have been a rick may tribute, too. With rocket jump waltz playing, soldiers being at the front to make peace with the other team, and both demoman not putting their heads up and salute. Since both soldier and demo were friends in the lore, this probably wasn't a coincidence. Oh and Demoman doesn't have a bottle with him meaning he didn't and never drank it in this SFM
While Sniper was hard on Scout at the beginning, it's hinted this isn't the fist time Scout messed up for the team. Like another poster here observed, Soldier was being a bully and Sniper may have also been bullied before in his youth. He might have recognized what was happening over a period of time with how Scout was being singled out. Plus, he's an introvert, so loud and uber aggressive Soldier probably gets on his nerves a bit. Gotta love Heavy, him having empathy for Scout is endearing. And the Hoovy side coming out at the end 😊
I like how even the tryhard soldiers gave up on winning and tried to help scout get through his tough time. It shows how even the most toxic of people can act kind when it is needed.
I literally want to save this as an example for anyone who doubts that using preexisting assets to abimate is art. I really feel like you could feel the emotions Scout was feeling at each moment because his place in the environment like his bed and TV was so familiar
I love that despite everything that Scout did, they all forgave him in realisation that he was going through an extremely rough spot. God bless em, even after being killed and betrayed, they did the Kazotsky kick. Don't quite get the message at the end though... you okay poky>?
tbh I think the silence of the scene with the music you used around 4:03 worked wonderfully as it was. it felt like the scout has heard this kinda of thing before, and it became silence as he heard it more and more. the end was very wholesome, you caught me by suprise there.
Just a little something, when they're standing still they look almost like they are tposing, you can try to put more life by looking at references, ofc i don't know shit about sfm, but i just try to give advice with what i know and help others improve. I hope everyone is doing good, and if not hope it gets better, ily no matter who you are
I usually go beggars when I’m friendly, since if a asshat wants to ruin our fun, I’ll wreck him with three rockets. Any class dies with that, except for overhealed heavy.
So far I saw edgy Solly mains firing rockets at a rate of 10/second killing people anytime, anywhere. Even going to the edge of the cliff on Hightower just to prevent you from killing yourself by killing you first while you are already falling. Then spamming "ez" and "noob trash" and the like. Pyros? Nope.
This is true art. Made me emotional. I didn't expect such well-done film making and storytelling in a TF2 SFM. Rivals 90% of film and television. Amazing work.
Ah, I see someone found out how to unlock the secret good ending to the Hoovydundy video-game! Jokes aside, the dedication is definitely something to be proud of. Nice work! (forgot to mention how lovely the quality is. it's a 1080 video yet looks like it's 4k! How you were able to do that is beyond me)
Thank you so much, this is the first time in a while that I'm actually proud of myself, so your words mean a lot. After all, you can see the mask on the spy for your own team, so he knew which was which.
I forgot to include the reason my bad:
It's simply that he wanted to hear what they had to say before doing what (i'm guessing kicking out of the team) he would've done.

absolutely
Awesome :)

Your comment kinda contextualises the heavy figure, on his night stand
When scout arrives at the spawn, he's generally met with megativity.
Pyro is the odd one out, happy to see scout, but he's childish with no real priorities, so it might not mean that much and engineer can tell something's off, but he doesn't say anything
But Heavy, who's much more emotionally mature, is smiling at scout, it seems like he's sincerely happy to see him and to someone who feels depressed, that probably means the world, so he keeps a memento of him
There's probably more to it, but that's what I took away from that

Out of all TF2 movies I watched, this struck me emotionally the most. While I never had severe clinical depression that scout is experiencing, I can relate for many details featured in this movie.
I thought it was going crazy over doing the same shit over and over again
Spot on. And I think there’s something about tf2 that makes it the perfect vessel for this kind of story. I think it has something to do with the nostalgia of the game and the repetition of the matches. It helped me instantly feel what you’re talking about.

"Don't you dare go hollow."
Fucking around with strangers in TF2 matches helps too.
except for me
@@GiveMeMeatballsImHungry No, you are very much a valuable human being who deserves happiness.
Thank you. I really needed this right now.

This whole SFM is amazing, incredible and very emotional with lots of unexpected twists. It's honestly the best SFM I have ever seen in my life and though the animation could be improved, it's still incredible and the story was fantastic.
[Spoilers below]
The best part in my opinion was when RED Scout and BLU Engie killed their team and everything that comes after.
Damn, im flattered holy crap, that's a pretty exhaustive analysis, I get why there are some things in the story that might confuse some.

13:03 I love the detail that the demomen on both teams are not saluting because they're too drunk
this might have been a rick may tribute, too.
I could imagine heavy being really sympathetic, and maybe sniper too.
But for sure heavy
While Sniper was hard on Scout at the beginning, it's hinted this isn't the fist time Scout messed up for the team. Like another poster here observed, Soldier was being a bully and Sniper may have also been bullied before in his youth. He might have recognized what was happening over a period of time with how Scout was being singled out. Plus, he's an introvert, so loud and uber aggressive Soldier probably gets on his nerves a bit. Gotta love Heavy, him having empathy for Scout is endearing. And the Hoovy side coming out at the end 😊
This says a lot about society.
Dancing solves everything.
Kazotsky Kick is the one thing that unites us all no matter age, gender, or sexual preference
It's ironic how the only one who survives scout's attack on his own team was spy. His father, if you didn't know.
Heh
Heavy probably died but I see no blood spills so he could have faked it
I think that doesn't have a meaning, spy can disguise and can become invisible, so he survived it. Only he is capable of that.

I think the message at the end was saying that he hates friendly servers.
I think the end was just a bit of humour
tbh I think the silence of the scene with the music you used around 4:03 worked wonderfully as it was. it felt like the scout has heard this kinda of thing before, and it became silence as he heard it more and more. the end was very wholesome, you caught me by suprise there.
