This was a very informative and helpful video. After watching this video I feel like I can do this job myself. I just ordered an axle for my 2012 Durango and will be replacing it this week. Thanks so much for posting this.
One thing I would have done is use brake cleaner on the rotors before putting them back on. I have to get my front left CV axle replaced on my 2013 soon. The boot has a hole in it. $580 quote I got so far to get it done.
Is this the same for a 2013 Durango? Just did my 07 Honda Pilot a few weeks ago and it was WAY easier than this but this is doable at least for me. My friend needs hers done which is why I’m asking.
Yes it is the same. The hard part can be getting the shaft to separate from the Diff. Usually either a hammer with a long punch will knock it out or an air hammer with a long punch bit. Just be careful not to damage anything. Good luck.

Bro, God was looking out for you at 9:41. Your left hand would've been crushed if you didn't move it out of the way!
Where is part one?
Great video
What is the axle nut size and socket size used to remove it?
I'd pull the stearing knuckle also. I think it would make removing the axle easier.
How long it take to do it
