Great review. Sold. It’s been ordered and is going under the tree for our 10yr old daughter who loves to make things. Our household’s first 3d printer. Looking forward to future content. You have new subscriber.
@@cameron_bowe It was actually my wife’s idea. We were initially looking at child focused “toy” 3d printer, but after reading a few lukewarm user reviews and seeing it’s limited capabilities within a paid ecosystem, I decided to see what else was out there and stumbled upon the new line of Bambu A1’s. While the A1 is 50% more of an investment, I see as something our daughter will be able to grow into and hopefully give us years of use. I fear the child branded mini printer would have a potentially limited lifespan either before she lost interest within the range of trinkets that are available to be printed, or outgrew it. (I suspect that her parents will be able to get some use out of the A1 too! I’m quite excited.)
@@bbdj2779 I spent hundreds on my Ender 3 Pro to get it anywhere near decent, yet I still couldn't get it to work after messing with custom software, numerous parts, and so much time wasted. I think this is gonna save me so much time, and I can imagine for a beginner who can't do all that I did it'd be much better to get into.
Ha, I wished things like the these existed while I was a child, and that my parents could have afforded them! Anyway, please do your daughter's health a service and look into the emissions of ultra fine particles and toxic VOCs while printing different materials! I wouldn't want any child's health to be affected long term by these. Ideally have the printer operating in a outside-ventilated, non-living area/room, or at the very least get some HEPA and activated carbon filters. Best of luck!
Buying the Bambu is the best decision I ever made. Am totally blown away by every aspect of this machine, the software is brilliant as well and quality is unreal
I've been 3D printing for 13+ years starting with a Makerbot Thing-o-matic kit and building a rep rap. Then bought a replicator 2, Original CR-10, Monoprice Select Mini, and a Mars 2. I finally feel that the jump in technology is worth adding another one to the collection, and also feel like my 14 year old son can handle an A1 without me worrying too much about it. So it's ordered. Should be here Friday and will go under the tree too. The appliance age of 3D printers has arrived, thanks in part to Bambu labs.
Been printing nonstop since we opened it. Kids have been printing from the maker world app and I’m happy as heck with how the machine has been performing. Digging up all sorts of still sealed filament I’ve had from years and drying it out to see what else I can feed it. Still amazed at what a few years has made in printer advancements.
I have an old Makerbot 2 and a Mars 2 Pro. My son and I took delivery of the A1 today and just did the first test print. Wow, what an upgrade to the Makerbot!
Lol... I love reading comments like these. I just got into 3D printing over the last couple of months with a qidi i-fast and a Bambu A1-mini and the mini is fast, repeatable, consistent and fantastic overall. The qidi is good for special applications with its dual extruder and heated chamber. Pretty cool tech hitting the market rapidly.
That one piece gantry is the kind of early Apple genius that Bambu has nailed right now. Gantry squareness is more of an issue in bedslingers than anything, and they just fixed it in ONE easy step. Whether or not you want their closed ecosystem, they are lighting the path for all the copycats to follow. And it's beautiful. I'm cheering for them to continue busting down the door to easy filament printing paradise for everyone!
I am a Beginner in 3D printing, and i bought a A1 mini. The purchase was absolut worth it!! The Video is right about bambu lab, they are very good. The customer Service is fast and good. The Spare parts can easy purchased online and are not expensive at all!!
I have 3 resin printers. Just got the a1 and I love it. I've been printing like a fiend for a week lol...super easy and lots of fun things to make with it. New subscriber too
my first 3d printer was Creality Ender 3 V3 KE. after practicing and know how to 3D print . I bought Bambu A1 Mini for small project. and Bambu A1 for big project. I sell keychain and other souvenir / gifts 3d print design. and it sells like hotcake . Thanks to bambu I can print multicolor with no hassle replacing Filament :D
Ordered the A1 Combo today. This will be my first printer and I'm really excited. Been mulling it over for years, and when I heard about this one, I knew it was time. Now to impatiently wait for it to arrive.
I was so confused about the bed temps , and asa and abs capability, you cleared all my doubts about this machine, thank you , later on I am definitely picking one up 😁🙂🤗
I just bought an Ankermake M5 and I'm amazed at how much the technology has come since the monoprice maker selects I used to have.. after seeing this I think Imma return my ankermake and get the A1 once the heat bed cable is fixed
I guessed at $400 for just the printer, so I was right on that. I didn't even factor an AMS, and for an additional $160, it's unbelievable. Bambu once again sets the bar for the 3D printer market!
man your first look you give after its out the box is like your perplexed. those are the little debbie christmas trees man.. so many people go crazy over them and to see them 3d printed man makes me want one. Thanks for this great info
Bambu founders are former DJI top engineers and they know how to deal with motor noise as they were dealing with way noiser motors in DJI. Recently X1 got the noise cancelling feature, it is totally game changer. My X1 became way quieter before.
I was thinking recently that Bambu is doing for 3D printing what DJI did for drones. Then I found out that engineers from DJI are a major part of Bambu Labs. Makes total sense now.
I love your channel and content! This is my go-to source for learning about what printers are available and 3D printing in general as I prepare to buy my first printer. I've been eyeing the P1S up until the A1 came along as I like that it has the enclosure to help keep my very curious 4yo out of harms way and better(?) air quality since we're in a small space. I see no need at this time for printing anything beyond PLA as I will be making airplane models, toys, and maybe some parts for my RC fleet. Is there enough of a difference in features to justify the extra cost of the P1S considering they're the exact same print size? Or, do you foresee a 300mm print area on the horizon from Bambu? They seem to be releasing things quarterly and I *can* wait until Spring, but I really don't want to. haha!
The P1S is really going to be if you are going to eventually move into more exotic filaments. If not, or this is your first experience, the A1 is going to be the best experience you can have!
Is the vase printed in a single colour? If so it looks awesome! Companies are always blaming parts being hard to source, yet Bambu Lab appear to have no problem with this and continue to produce high end printers at an affordable price! Keep it up guys you have clearly set a new precedent for others to try and keep up!
Yes, single color. Bambu Pink Silk PLA. They are definitely in a fantastic manufacturing location, surrounded by all of the components. Buying in big numbers helps them too.
I'm looking at getting this as my second 3d printer, will be my first one that can do multi-color and also much larger build size than my first one (Flashforge adventurer).
Your channel was the first one I found and its great! That Little Debbie ornament is the reason I got into it. I saw it right before Thanksgiving and bought my X1C on black Friday. It hasn't stopped running since I opened the box. I dont know what took me so long to get into this but I'm already looking at another printer. Now I just need to catch one of your live streams to win some PolyMaker filament. I would love to try it but I bought a ton with the printer and need to use some of it up first.
Fantastic! Congrats on that awesome machine too! When you come by the livestream, say hi, get my attention and make sure to remind me you came from YT!
@James.The.Printer I know exactly what you mean. I'm primarily a woodworker. I have a CNC and am fairly decent at 2D design. I have made a lot of carve files, and I love getting feedback. For whatever reason, 3D modeling completely eludes me, so I commend you. I've made several of your models so far, and every time I pull one off, I immediately have to print it again because my wife or kids claim it🤣. Thanks for what you do!
Honestly, my experience ordering my P1S during the Black Friday sale did not blow me away ... Registering my VAT number took 3 days (luckily the sale persisted), then ordering it was totally not clear that shipping would only happen 2 weeks later. Yeah, it probably was somewhere in the small print, but this info should be sticking out if only to avoid my inquiry when 2 days later there's still no update on shipping. Ok, we might be spoiled with same day shipping in most shops nowadays, but that just makes it more important to make it clear that this is not the case here. Now the machine is magic, so that definitely didn't let me down and indeed is totally different from the 2 other printers that I got (Ender 3 Pro and Sapphire Plus).
ordered one on sale for 300 bucks...it'll be my 4th printer...my first was a prusa mk3, but sold it to go to thailand..then bought a refurbished cr10 which lasted me a couple years...then got an ender 3 neo that was always a pain in the ass and then crapped out after less than a year(i think i'm done with creality)...hopfully all goes well with the A1 and i can start printing again cheers
Oh man ....i just got mt Elegoo Neptune 4 plus as my first printer.... trying to learn everything...but as someone mentioned, there's WAY too many opinions and options on here that i have no odea what to get as starter....i thought i made a decent choice but tbis sounds better.....should i chnage and order this one?
There are a lot of machines now, and it can be confusing! Elegoo Neptune machines are great, I have one as well. Bambu machines are the highest level of consumer 3D printing tech that we’ve ever seen and at an incredible value / price point! It will be an entirely different, new experience.
@@LoyalMoses yeah so it seems! I just want to make the best choice to start with....i hate upgrading constantly.. like to buy best I can afford and have it last awhile

I want to buy a 3d printer in 2024 which one should i consider in terms of best no compromising print quality ? 1. Bambu a1 2. Or creality brand then which series please specify
I want one..........just not right now. My franken-ender 3 I finally have set up how I like, and I want to stick with it for a couple years. I have my eye on the A-1 with AMS in the future though. If I start selling 3D printed goodies I will prolly upgrade to the A1.
Are the concerns about it sending back to Bambu/China unfounded? I bought a Prusa MK4 and already have a MK3s and I'm just a hobby printer, so I really have no plans on getting another printer anytime soon. I will admit and agree that they have really streamlined the process. So slick.
I own more Prusa printers than any other brand, and they produce great prints. With that said, Bambu has really shaken up the space and it has unfortunately resulted in a lot of brand loyalists from other manufacturers spreading misinformation. I haven’t seen any evidence of nefarious intent by Bambu, just a lot of baseless accusations. Mind you, I spent 20+ years in information security prior to 3D printing. Enjoy your Prusas! These are awesome times to be in 3D printing.
@@LoyalMosesI believe the people making some custom Bambu firmware even checked the source for their machines and said they didn't find any code or other evidence that would suggest misuse of customer data or logging information.
I just ordered mine and so excited to get it. Now I ordered the hardened steel hot end and I should be safe to run like the carbon fiber right? I have never printed with a carbon fiber filament but I think with a hardened steal hot end I should be able to print with it?
For home type hobby prints (possible transition to something more serious in the future) from the noise perspective alone: A1 or P1S? ($ is not a factor, this will be set up in the office my main residence, noise during prints needs to be manageable to do other work), ❤ your vast perspective on overall 3D printing world.
@@LoyalMoses had that suspicion but thanks for confirming, already pulled the trigger on A1, can’t wait to get that first print going. Great content, keep those vids coming!
I'm about ready to get into 3d printing, and I think the A1 is the no brainer purchase. I could start cheaper, but why waste money buying anew in a few months or years? This looks good enough to do what I want for the foreseeable future.
I was going to buy a Elegoo, then changed my mind to a Anker, then the Bambu ads on UA-cam started kicking in. Two days after I ordered a X1C they let us know a new printer is coming and I'm wondering if I should cancel in case there's something better. I was happy when I found I didn't just order an outdated model and it was just the A1 mini being released. But then I buy a A1 mini and 2 weeks later there's a bigger A1. Bummer. I expect the A1 uses all the same 256x256x256 build plates which can be nice.
Thank you for this superb and very detailed video, now I can ask you, I only print PLA and I wanted to know: 1) which of these 2 machines makes better quality prints, A1 or P1s? 2) can we put the ams lite on the left of the machine? (we still see the ams on the right), thank you very much for your answers.....thanks again
Print quality is the same so far! PLA, go with the A1. The cable is relatively short, so on the right for now unless they offer an extension cable. Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you for your message, too bad there is no extension for the ams, I ordered the A1 but not yet received it, and I hope to have good results like you had in your video. Do you print in high speed PLA and standard mode? By the way the plate goes up to 100 degrees, they modified it in the description of the A1, thank you, cordially.@@LoyalMoses
This printer is like if I took my ender 3 v2 and added literally every mod possible to it but then it grew up and got sexy and fast. Time for me to finally upgrade I guess.
Also great review. Yes, people just want something that works straight out of the box. No tinkering, or a month later, because your printer is a lemon, having to waste 2 or 3 hours to figure out what is wrong. I don't have the time to waste days on end figuring out what is wrong with my new printer.
@LoyalMoses also anycubic support is just to constantly send parts in the hope that you can fix it. 🤣. I can't even anymore with them and definitely getting the A1 combo and ditching this printer fast.
I’ve not used the Kobra 3 yet, but Bambu has the best end to end user experience in the industry, so I would lean that way until I’ve been able to compare.
Dude, I got the A1 mini for my 9yr old, he is printing w it by himself.. There are haters out there that just cant wrap their brains around a Bambu offering. Bambu ROCKED the 3D printer industry.
Just got my X1C today. Have ran a few small prints already and this thing is orders of magnitude better than the E3 Pro and E3S1 Pro I have had. Bambu Labs have definitely set a very high bar with their machines for others to rise to.
Hello, I wanted to ask you, is the SD card supplied with the machine? if so how many GO, I will receive the A1 tomorrow in principle, I hope to have the same impression results as you, thank you again and see you soon.....
I don’t recall how large the micro sd card is, but it is plenty big enough for regular use. I’m really hoping you have the same experience! It’s a fantastic machine! Congratulations!
@@LoyalMoses Thank you for your feedback, you are really serious and friendly, I also hope to enjoy this machine, I will give you a little feedback on my opinion, good luck...
Great video, minor thing though. I think you need to adjust how your audio is filtering out certain noise, I notice your voice almost sounds like it's cutting out because it's cutting out certain parts of your it to compensate with background noise.
Thanks for the informative Video! I have a question, I wanna try to print ABS, but i cant choose ABS Filament on the Printer. Should i take another one to Set a own Profile in Bambu Studio for another material to avoid that? Heat Bed goes to 100°C and its also on the technical list in Bambu Store.
That's weird about the 3DBenchy, the same exact thing happens to my A1 mini every time it gets to that part. The 3DBenchy would pop off. What I had to do was use a little glue on the Heat bed, then it completed.
I wish I had even known about Bambu when I got my printer. I had surgery in Sept and in October ended up ordering an anycubic Kobra 2, thinking it would be an upgrade from the ender 3. Auto level never works properly, started making grinding noises after a month and anycubics solution was to lower the speed to 150mm/s and update firmware. Now their solution is to sent me new rails and a proximity sensor. I can tell you that within the next week I'm ordering a Bambu A1 combo and never recommending anything anycubic. 🤣
@@KIKETMASTERMX it’s brilliant, super easy and after owning an Ender 3 I can tell you this thing just works, the only problem is with the app it’s too easy to print stuff so you have to be careful not it print a load of junk 👍

The way you hesitated on what the alligator clip closes on made me chuckle... If Bambu released this one first I wouldn't own an Ankermake machine right now. I don't regret it, I have a very comparable machine sans AMS. Hopefully Anker lowers the price on their color engine because then this becomes a race, and not to the bottom like everyone in 3D printing is accustomed to.

Ive had my k1 max for almost a month now and after seeing these reviews im wondering if i should return it and get the a1 combo. Not that the k1 max is a bad printer i had great sucess until yesterday experienced a clog caused by a a bend at the end of 5he bowden tube and i had to take apart everything on the print head and clean evetything out and i still have gotten stringing on all my prints. I really wnated to get into multi color filament and this seems like it would be amazing to have. I just want to know if its worth teturning the k1 max and going through that process and if i will be a lot happier with the a1 combo
@LoyalMoses I have jsut realized that a green wire on the pcb is unprotected and I was trying to replace the jot end but one of the screws would not unloosen what so ever and so i kept the old hot end on cleaned the tip off a little bit and I put the print head together and started extruding some filament and it literally started smoking I was like speechless I never expected that at all. I contacted creality and all they had to say is that this is not a order from their store and I need to contact the support team I bought it from. Now I'm at a loss with a $750 broken printer and terrible support 😮💨
@@HosaBosa If you can still return it, I'd definitely go with Bambu. With the price you paid for the K1 max, you can get the P1S with AMS and probably most likely be much happier with your purchase. Bambu printers just WORK! I have 3.... one X1C and two P1S that literally run 24/7. Aside from a few very MINOR hiccups that were very easy fixes, I've had nothing but excellent results and experience with these printers and don't have the time to constantly fix various issues, especially with a brand new printer! Some people like tinkering, I do as well, but I'd rather tinker on other various projects while my printers are running. I've never had to contact support for anything as of yet, but I've heard they're great. However they do sometimes take a few days to get back to you. (They're working on improving their support response times) They were a small startup company who have exploded in the 3D industry over night and still have some things to sort out such as their support response times. Your choice, but again, if you can still return your printer, I'd do it in a heartbeat! Especially with what you stated about Creality support. Obviously they give two craps about your issue with THEIR printers and that alone would make me never want to purchase from them again or give them a cent of my hard earned money. Anyways, if you do go with Bambu, Just make sure to check out their Wiki page and or watch some videos on the maintenance side of things, keep them maintained, and you should be golden! People have had more problematic issues with Bambu of course due to failed hardware/lemon parts, but as with EVERY company, there's always a certain percentage of lemon parts of which Bambu will happily replace along with an instructional video and most likely issue a partial refund for your time fixing it yourself. (So I've heard) and they have addressed ALOT or most of those initial issues already. There's a great Q&A on Reddit r/3Dprinting titled "I am Dr. Tao, CEO of Bambu Lab. Ask me anything" where he answers many questions and is very transparent about their company and issues they've had along the way and have since fixed. It seems they're a company who genuinely wants to give people the best 3D printing experience as possible, are very transparent and open about things, listens to suggestions and ideas from the community and are constantly working to improve user experience. Anyways, Good luck and Happy printing! 😊
@toriv1976able well unfortunately it's past its due date for returning it but i can say it came damaged and partially functional can't I because the green wire I'd worse in person and I saw it when I had clean out s clogged hot end I would love to return it but it's all broken down and the whole hot end and pcba board is off the y and z belts are off it's been an absolute night mare. I think for the p1s with the ams is right around 900 or something plus shipping. But the a1 combo is what I'm really lookin Yat currently. But I did get my Christmas onus from work so in the meantime I will instantly buy the a1 combo once I deal with my k1 max or its going to be a Hell of time.
@toriv1976able I mean they denied that my purchase was from them and when I started reading it I was like great I bet I'm getting scammed. Then they said they would send me a new jot end kit with a replacement nozzle cable which idk what that is but I have the extra hit end still I just need a replacement pcb board and a new cooling block I believe because the hot end I'm not able to remove itself due to that damn screw not unscrewing so I am not able to replace the hot end and would have to replace the whole thong attached to the print head I believe. It'd two longer screws that screw into the hot end and into the block so idk what ima do.
You said this thing has an Eddy current sensor. I think you meant to say load cell? Eddy current would tell you where the bed is, but wouldn’t help with making in-flight adjustments based on force on the nozzle.
No, I am correct in the use of the sensor. You can find out more if you head over to the Bambu lab website and read about how they are using these sensors.
Hello I want to get into 3d printing I want to know if I should get the x1c or a1 for my first printer which one you would recommend and why what should I get with this printers like extras and stuff like that. Trying to order before the sale is over thanks
Sure! The X1C is the top tier machine and experience, nothing better. You can print all the filaments and get perfect results. If you have this budget, highly recommend. Lesser budget, the A1 is amazing, same print quality as X1C just without the enclosure for more stable printing of higher end filaments.
i bought an ender 3 pro at the wrong time, just a month or two after the prices dropped crazy low, i wouldve gotten another printer if i realised that earlier
Hey @LoyalMoses, I have a Ender3 V2 Neo, and bed leveling and everything around it makes me mad :D I was thinking about A1 mini (no need big prinst - printing mostly fpv parts). Is A1 mini much worse that A1 or just slightly - Need something that will not use much space also and A1 looks like have same size as my Ender
Awesome! I got an email from Bambu during the upload. That's why it's important to test these things, and I am glad I caught it! 100c is a great selling point.
@@LoyalMosesYou should measure the actual temperature on the bed. Aurora Tech set it to 100 C but it only got up to 81 C. Looking forward to an update from you. Great review by the way, as usual.
With the bed confirmed going up to 100°C and the nozzle up to 300°C, what is still not clear to me WRT printing high temperature filaments (ABS, ASA, PC) is why Bambu Lab are saying on their wiki/FAQ page for the A1 that "We don't recommend enclosing the A1" - any ideas? Could it be due to insufficient cooling for the electronics, or maybe issues with softening the Z axis timing belt? I am asking because I've built my own perfectly sealed enclosure (a lot of sweat went into making it) and I'd rather use that with the A1 if possible than pay for the P1S, especially since the A1 has the quick change nozzle and no "no build areas". Bambu Lab mention they don't recommend printing high temperature filaments on the A1 due to the lack of the enclosure (the A1 is therefore not able to ensure the required higher chamber temperatures and also not able to contain the toxic VOCs), but they never explain why they recommend against enclosing the A1.
Thanks a lot for your answer! The sealed & actively heated enclosure I built was for an Ender printer, for which I thought a lot and I was relatively confident that I could detach at least the power supply and the mainboard, move them outside the enclosure and connect them back to the printer by extending the cables to the stepper motors, switches, print bed and hot end (I already have the longer cables - a different set). I don't have an A1 to look at so I'm hoping you could give me an idea, please - do you think it would be possible without a lot of effort to separate the PSU & the motherboard like I described above for the Ender printer, or would it be just too complicated? I'm also thinking here about the little MCU circuit I understand the A1 has in the hot end itself - that would most probably have to stay there, but I'd expect it to tolerate higher temperatures given where it already is. Apart from that, are the other electronic components easily accessible? Are there a lot of cables between them? Are they connected using standard or proprietary connectors? Many thanks!
@@thetinmanwichsadly, it’s difficult to over-estimate how much useless multi-colored plastic junk will be cluttering around just for how easily it was feasible of being made. and the transient fun of latter… minimalism anyone , instead !? well, maybe, popularising the ‘make’ approach may have merits, still, I’d assume.
I'm on a budget but want speed quality and reliability. Been torn between elegoo Neptune 3/4, artillery, Bambu a1/p1s/p1p, qidi, and a prusa. I think it's hard to beat Bambu value and reliability. But hard to beat artillery and elegoo price especially for large format printers. Prusa is a reliable work horse but hard to justify the price in the face of Bambu.
If you have the budget available, Bambu will give you the absolute best experience in 3D printing that exists! Next would be ELEGOO for price and then Artillery. I own A LOT of Prusas, but I haven't been recommending them much only because of price. They are great machines, just a bit expensive for what you get.
Do you have any opinions on the security issues with regards to bambu lab printers? I've seen some stuff about their network connectivity thats keeping me from buying one.
Absolutely! Bambu is really shaking up the industry, and these are the most advanced machines that we’ve ever seen. Unfortunately it’s causing a lot of people who may be overly passionate about existing brands to spread rumors and misinformation. There has not been any evidence shown that Bambu is doing anything nefarious. The machine works fine with or without networking enabled, and if you ever were concerned, it can be treated like any untrusted device on your network and be segmented appropriately.
How do you find the noise level of the A1 vs the A1 Mini? My experience is that the noise level of the A1 is substantially higher, which I find very disappointing.
Bambu reminds me of Apple vs Windows. Some people want to build their PCs when others want a computer that just works. A lot of folks want NASA specs for no reason.
Come tax time this is a strong possibility. I got started smashing my head into 3d printing with a Geeetech A10T so I could make multicolor models as I can't paint. Did not work out, I like the concept but in practice it never worked very well for me. This though... sexy i-robot printer 🤤
This is the third review I've seen where the test boat prints badly or fails. Always on the top part of the cabin. I know well that the important thing is not the boat but how it prints everything else. But I never expected this from BambuLab. With the A1 Mini the boat was printed very well, I don't understand why there are so many problems with the A1.
So many problems? I have the machine sitting here in the studio, I can’t find a single problem with it. If you’d like to explain for other viewers what the problems are, please do.

So it's ordered. Should be here Friday and will go under the tree too. The appliance age of 3D printers has arrived, thanks in part to Bambu labs.
Merry Christmas! 🎁🎄 How exciting is this going to be! Congratulations!
Absolutely! That’s the type of innovation that we need!
I’ve been wanting a 3d printer for years. Just ordered this, can’t wait to get it
Congratulations!!!
Hope you have better luck than I have.
I am a Beginner in 3D printing, and i bought a A1 mini. The purchase was absolut worth it!! The Video is right about bambu lab, they are very good. The customer Service is fast and good. The Spare parts can easy purchased online and are not expensive at all!!
Oh, that A1 mini is a beautiful machine alright. Congratulations!
I have 3 resin printers. Just got the a1 and I love it. I've been printing like a fiend for a week lol...super easy and lots of fun things to make with it. New subscriber too
Welcome! That A1 is an awesome machine, congratulations!
@LoyalMoses 👍
my first 3d printer was Creality Ender 3 V3 KE. after practicing and know how to 3D print . I bought Bambu A1 Mini for small project. and Bambu A1 for big project. I sell keychain and other souvenir / gifts 3d print design. and it sells like hotcake . Thanks to bambu I can print multicolor with no hassle replacing Filament :D
Wow! That's awesome to hear!
Bro we got the same first printer but mine broke after 6days but I’m ordering the a1 combo on Monday and I’m so exited
Ordered the A1 Combo today. This will be my first printer and I'm really excited. Been mulling it over for years, and when I heard about this one, I knew it was time. Now to impatiently wait for it to arrive.
Same here!
Congratulations!!! This is just awesome! You are going to have a top tier experience, envious that this is your first machine! 🔥
Awesome that you grabbed one too! Congratulations!
Have fun! I waited for years as well and I’m so glad I finally got into it. It’s ended up being one of my favorite hobbies ever.
I have not had good luck with either of ours. Hopefully you do.
I have seen like 10 reviews of this printer already, this is the best one , very informative 🙂😁
Thank you! Very kind.
I was so confused about the bed temps , and asa and abs capability, you cleared all my doubts about this machine, thank you , later on I am definitely picking one up 😁🙂🤗
Fantastic! You’ll love it!
I just bought an Ankermake M5 and I'm amazed at how much the technology has come since the monoprice maker selects I used to have.. after seeing this I think Imma return my ankermake and get the A1 once the heat bed cable is fixed
We are filming with the M5C right nowb
I guessed at $400 for just the printer, so I was right on that. I didn't even factor an AMS, and for an additional $160, it's unbelievable. Bambu once again sets the bar for the 3D printer market!
Nice guess! And yes, they did it again! 🤯
man your first look you give after its out the box is like your perplexed. those are the little debbie christmas trees man.. so many people go crazy over them and to see them 3d printed man makes me want one. Thanks for this great info
Haha! It looked like a lot of parts!
Great video, confirming my choice in new printer. And you are the only creator I've watched that pronounces Prusa correctly
Glad I could help! 💜
Just ordered my combo! Upgrading from an Creaility Ender3.
Congratulations!!! This will change the way you 3D print!
I'm thrilled that we've finally moved beyond tweaking eSteps in Marlin.
Absolutely! So many feel the same way.
So I ordered one, I was considering between this and the P1S, but for a new hobby this price point makes more sense
Congratulations!!!
First video I have seen where someone noticed the 100c bed. No corrections needed 👍
I’m glad I’m not crazy! 😆
Bambu founders are former DJI top engineers and they know how to deal with motor noise as they were dealing with way noiser motors in DJI. Recently X1 got the noise cancelling feature, it is totally game changer. My X1 became way quieter before.
That makes total sense! 🔥
I was thinking recently that Bambu is doing for 3D printing what DJI did for drones. Then I found out that engineers from DJI are a major part of Bambu Labs. Makes total sense now.
Fun facts, the Prusa MK4 is still quieter without such marketing jokes.
@@herr_rossi69 Isn't the Prusa slower too?
@@G53X0Y0Z0 In a comparison by another UA-camr, the MK4 was slightly faster but quieter.
The quality was rated equally well for both.
Awesome review. I was between this printer and another brand… After watching your video, I made my decision. Thanks 👍🏼
Yes, I am getting the A1 combo. lol!!
Fantastic! Glad I could help!
Great machine! You will LOVE it!
@@LoyalMoses thanks again. 👍🏼
I subscribed to your channel as well
I love your channel and content!
They seem to be releasing things quarterly and I *can* wait until Spring, but I really don't want to. haha!
Just make sure you have some fresh air and print with PLA and PETG, you should be okay! Just air moving. Thank you for the kind words.
The P1S is really going to be if you are going to eventually move into more exotic filaments. If not, or this is your first experience, the A1 is going to be the best experience you can have!
Thank you for the tremendous advice. Made my very first prints with my new A1 today. It was amazing and my 4 yo loves it. It's amazing. @@LoyalMoses
I really hope the rest of the industry just keeps innovating and keeps being competitive.
Absolutely! 🔥
Nice video and T-shirt!
Thanks!!!
As a Creality owner, I like my S1, But honestly, I think Bambu is the iPhone of the 3-D printing world
Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I will be getting one now!
Awesome and thank you!
I love my Carbon XC1. Why? Because it just works. It’s easy enough to be easy and difficult enough to keep me engaged.
I'm looking at getting this as my second 3d printer, will be my first one that can do multi-color and also much larger build size than my first one (Flashforge adventurer).
Awesome! I highly recommend it!
Hair's looking great bro!
Thanks! 😃
Comments like this motivate designers more than you will ever know!
I put in an order for A1 Combo + extra hotends + cables + cutter etc. a huge order with a lot of filaments for measly 1000 EUR.
WOW! Congrats!
Thanks, my first 3d printer. But think me and the kid (6)will have fun with it. I Also need some plastic covers for the house etc.
Even more people will be receptive to 3D printing due to this machine. Now, I just wish bed adhesion wasn't such a variable cause in print failure.
Absolutely!
Sorry! I’ve heard so many EU purchasing nightmares over the years, they’re definitely not making it easy on you.
Very happy you like it! Amazing tech!
ordered a combo this morning
Congratulations! How do you like it so far?!?
Looking forward to them to be available again, after the recall.
Absolutely!
ordered one on sale for 300 bucks...it'll be my 4th printer...my first was a prusa mk3, but sold it to go to thailand..then bought a refurbished cr10 which lasted me a couple years...then got an ender 3 neo that was always a pain in the ass and then crapped out after less than a year(i think i'm done with creality)...hopfully all goes well with the A1 and i can start printing again
cheers
Bambu is really making big revolutions in 3dprinting😀👍
They really are! Crazy cool stuff coming out!

Love your reviews. I already have two different Bambu machines but I really want to add this one to the fleet as well!
Thanks CJ! This is a really good machine, I couldn’t think of any negatives.

There are a lot of machines now, and it can be confusing! Elegoo Neptune machines are great, I have one as well.
Bambu machines are the highest level of consumer 3D printing tech that we’ve ever seen and at an incredible value / price point! It will be an entirely different, new experience.

I want to buy a 3d printer in 2024 which one should i consider in terms of best no compromising print quality ?
1. Bambu a1
2. Or creality brand then which series please specify
A1
I want one..........just not right now. My franken-ender 3 I finally have set up how I like, and I want to stick with it for a couple years. I have my eye on the A-1 with AMS in the future though. If I start selling 3D printed goodies I will prolly upgrade to the A1.
Oh! You will LOVE that machine! Glad you are rocking an Ender that is cranking out great prints!
Good stuff! What printer would you recommend that is good with PETG and ASA as well as for multi color without breaking the bank?
My initial thoughts are the Bambu P1S, only one enclosed with a good multicolor system!
@@LoyalMoses Have you ever heard of a filament by Richiech and any comments?
Congratulations! And yes, you will be able to print with some of those cool PLA-CF and PETG-CF materials! So excited for you!

A1 is SOOOO quiet!
@@LoyalMoses had that suspicion but thanks for confirming, already pulled the trigger on A1, can’t wait to get that first print going. Great content, keep those vids coming!
So awesome! You will LOVE IT!
I'm about ready to get into 3d printing, and I think the A1 is the no brainer purchase. I could start cheaper, but why waste money buying anew in a few months or years? This looks good enough to do what I want for the foreseeable future.
I am happy to hear you say that, it is an awesome machine!
What about comparison with P1S? Is better to save some money to get P1S over A1? Any ideas?
P1S is a great machine, if you want the enclosure!!!
Haha! 💜🔥
Can you run the ams lite out of a heated filament dryer. With nylon this is pretty important
Hmm… not sure that heat would be good for the servos, but I suppose we could ask!
Also great review. Yes, people just want something that works straight out of the box. No tinkering, or a month later, because your printer is a lemon, having to waste 2 or 3 hours to figure out what is wrong. I don't have the time to waste days on end figuring out what is wrong with my new printer.
A lot of people feel this same way!
@LoyalMoses also anycubic support is just to constantly send parts in the hope that you can fix it. 🤣. I can't even anymore with them and definitely getting the A1 combo and ditching this printer fast.
Would you choose this over the anycubic kobra 3?
I’ve not used the Kobra 3 yet, but Bambu has the best end to end user experience in the industry, so I would lean that way until I’ve been able to compare.
You think that the Heatbed of the mini can go up to 100 deg. with an update from Bambu?
I believe it can, I don’t think they’d do it, they want that to be an entry level machine.
I use Idemaker for my Raise3D N1, but i miss the possible to paint my support like in Orcaslicer
Ideamaker is really nice! But yes, it needs painting. Wouldn’t that be awesome?!?
Dude, I got the A1 mini for my 9yr old, he is printing w it by himself.. There are haters out there that just cant wrap their brains around a Bambu offering. Bambu ROCKED the 3D printer industry.
That’s just awesome! 💜💜💜 And you are so right!

Great video, minor thing though. I think you need to adjust how your audio is filtering out certain noise, I notice your voice almost sounds like it's cutting out because it's cutting out certain parts of your it to compensate with background noise.
Thank you! Printers in the studio, making noise!
That’s strange, I can select ABS in Bambu Studio. I’ll be back in the studio shortly, I’ll double check.
That's weird about the 3DBenchy, the same exact thing happens to my A1 mini every time it gets to that part. The 3DBenchy would pop off. What I had to do was use a little glue on the Heat bed, then it completed.
If you print it in PLA and have the bed at 60C, I have never had any issues on my A1 Mini
I was likely a draft in that room, once I moved it back to the studio, all was fine.
i ordered mine today :)

Can the torque of these machines break your finger?

3D printers should be appliances. Chefs don't have to constantly mess around with their stoves!
Fantastic analogy!
Bambu is definitely changing our industry, things are getting so much better!

Oh!!! Congratulations! How did you get it so fast?!? I am super excited for you.
I’m not sure I would return the K1 max, it’s a great printer - maybe you can have two!!?
Just need a Bamboo lab with enclosure, all features of the A1 but as a core XY and a 350x350x400 Build Room
Would be cool!
I though you had to send them back for a recall.
Their not available till May???
Check the date on the video.
Where can I find the model of the Christmas tree toy?
You said this thing has an Eddy current sensor. I think you meant to say load cell? Eddy current would tell you where the bed is, but wouldn’t help with making in-flight adjustments based on force on the nozzle.
No, I am correct in the use of the sensor. You can find out more if you head over to the Bambu lab website and read about how they are using these sensors.
@@LoyalMosesOh wow. just looked it up. that's very clever of them.

Sure! The X1C is the top tier machine and experience, nothing better. You can print all the filaments and get perfect results. If you have this budget, highly recommend.

This A1 or P1S ?
PLA, A1 for sure, and you will absolutely love it! If your budget will allow, the AMS will change the way you think of 3D printing.
@@LoyalMoses Yes I am thinking about ordering 3x A1 with ams
But also in doubt about the P1S with ams but then 2x
@@LoyalMoses I now have 3x prusa mini and want to switch to bambu because of the speed and quality
Large Form factor Printer is Next and probably a bed Slinger 400x400, a 300x 300 isn't enough of a difference from the 256x 256 IMO.
A lot of people are excited to see one coming!
I agree. 250 is a very small bed. X1c was my first purchase for 3d printer. I am over all satisfied. Any issues I've encountered so far is user error.
i bought an ender 3 pro at the wrong time, just a month or two after the prices dropped crazy low, i wouldve gotten another printer if i realised that earlier
How do you like it though?
not bad!
I know!
Hey @LoyalMoses, I have a Ender3 V2 Neo, and bed leveling and everything around it makes me mad :D
I was thinking about A1 mini (no need big prinst - printing mostly fpv parts).
Is A1 mini much worse that A1 or just slightly - Need something that will not use much space also and A1 looks like have same size as my Ender
A1 mini is an INCREDIBLE machine!!! Highly recommend!
80°C for bed was a mistake in spec that's already corrected to 100°C in Bambu A1 specs on shop page.
Why is your filament out in the free air, and not in a closed container containing silica gel? Do you dry them before every print?
We have low humidity up here on the mountain.
@@LoyalMoses Wauuu that's luxury 😊👍
the buidl plate for the A1 mini is 80C, A1 is 100C
👍
You didn’t run the sound calibration on your X1, right?
Not yet, have been super busy!
With the bed confirmed going up to 100°C and the nozzle up to 300°C, what is still not clear to me WRT printing high temperature filaments (ABS, ASA, PC)
is why Bambu Lab are saying on their wiki/FAQ page for the A1 that "We don't recommend enclosing the A1" - any ideas?
It is likely the electronics. This is a very quiet machine, and heating those up in an enclosure could cause issues. Only a guess though.
Prusa and creality just died
That is the truth!
Not at all but we’ll see an absolute leap across all brands this year. Sure some will fail but i doubt creality or prusa will be among them.
@@TS_Mind_SweptI think dudes like you are underestimating how important the easy multi color printing is to tons of people.
this… I don’t believe (yet). [as for thread starter above].
@@LoyalMoses yeah I can get one from a friend the mk3 for 500 but I think at that price I might as well get a1 Bambu or the next one up
@@LoyalMoses thank you for the reply, I work on Zbrush so I'm excited to get into printing creature and cosplay items
I agree, that A1 is amazing.
That is cool! I'd love to see what you make!
What was wrong with the benchy? It is kind of worriying that it failed at that
It happens.
Just use LAN only mode if it’s a concern, or the cloud is offline.
How do you find the noise level of the A1 vs the A1 Mini?
My experience is that the noise level of the A1 is substantially higher, which I find very disappointing.
Mine are both equally quiet. What are you finding louder, the fan or bearings?
@@LoyalMoses The fan is a little bit louder and the bearings are much louder
Bambu reminds me of Apple vs Windows. Some people want to build their PCs when others want a computer that just works. A lot of folks want NASA specs for no reason.
I think you are spot on.
Two groups in 3D printing: 1) Printing is the hobby 2) Printers are the hobby.
Come tax time this is a strong possibility. I got started smashing my head into 3d printing with a Geeetech A10T so I could make multicolor models as I can't paint. Did not work out, I like the concept but in practice it never worked very well for me. This though... sexy i-robot printer 🤤
This will be a huge change for you! These work just so perfectly well!
@@LoyalMoses I was talking about the little boat only
TOSSING my Ender 3 Pro, this is gonna be a worthy upgrade.
It will change 3D printing for you forever!
