    Nothing major happens when it gets hot, the wheel will just dial back the motor power and so the force feedback gets a bit weaker after 15+ min play sessions. I honestly didn't notice it until I read about it online.
    That being said, great video!

      Yeah that’s annoying af for me lmao it’s inconsistent for racing

    When it overheats it turns the force feedback down a lot. Mine does it after like 2 laps on the nurburgring. Very annoying, so thanks for this video

    Nice, perfect video to come upon as Im picking up two units to fix. One needing new power supply and the other is overheating.
    Didnt think of using a hub to run several fans!

    I like your idea. I did something similar. I used the stock 60mm fan and turned it around and placed it directly against the motor on the inboard side sucking heat off the motor blowing toward the power supply side. Then placed a high output 60x60x20 on the outboard side sucking fresh air from the side vents. I also drilled the fake grill on top....FYI....there about 2000 holes. So far I have left the top off.

    this is the first video of you i watch and maybe i've been doing too much VR lately but... how the hell do you get that videogame feel? i mean, your video looks like if it was a ue5 demo or something. is that on purpose?

    I also like the red n black theme.....I have my t300 mounted to a NLR GTTRACK DD wheel stand. So red n black matches the rest. Except my chair. Its blue! Lol. I stripped a captains chair out of a 95 chevy vandura. Mounted directly to my floor so it's a very comfortable driver's seat. It swivels and reclines but it locks into place because it's an actual car seat. I'm seriously into gran turismo. I don't have a PC. So I know I'm missing out but I think I like moding my wheel more than racing.

    How does it holds up in long term? Do you have any issues with power supply for the fans?

  • @allanon93

    I should do this because I play dirt rally and I do have this issue once in a while.

    Will the bottom fan have enough room for a 60mm noctua fan? The noctua fans are a little thicker. I am thinking about doing this mod to my wheel, and I wanted to add an extra fan in like you did.

    Adding all those fans wouldn't put too much on the header? I know the stock fan is 12v25mA. I've heard online the board can give .48ma or something.
    5 might blow it up?

      good question. Could you write some more info about that? I'm thinking about the upgrade, but cant find exact info on how much fan power I can safely use. Maybe an element marking?

      @@HemiG1 do you found some information about that? I am looking for it now, I want to add 2 more fans but I am not sure if is not a problem to connect all in the same connector

    this is so nice! how thick is the fan you put under the motor?

    • @frozennorthproductions
      @frozennorthproductions  2 місяці тому +1

      It was a very thin cheap fan that I just had laying around with some old parts, I don't even know where I got them from lol. I wanna say around 10mm but I know there's lots more room in there to play with, so Noctua A6-x25 would easily fit, can probably even get some Noctua NF-A8's to fit if the mounting locations are modified a bit.

      @@frozennorthproductions very nice! did you have any heat issues since then?

    • @frozennorthproductions
      @frozennorthproductions  2 місяці тому

      @@lfbarni The fans turn on while racing after about 5ish minutes at maxed out force feedback, but there's no force feedback reduction like people said happen if it gets too hot, so I guess this fixes it. But, Gran Turismo 6 takes so long to load that after a race is over, it cools itself down enough that the fans turn off again before the next race is loaded lol.

    Buy It's getting too dusty inside. So I have a crazy idea so I can put the top back on...I removed the entire grill on top. Replaced it with the same pattern....except it's metal. I stripped a 3d printer. Got like 6 fans out of it. 1 60mm, 1 40mm, 2 30mm and 1 20mm . So I'm putting an exhaust fan in every vent. So a 30 in each side. The 40 in the center. The motor will keep the 2 60s directly on it and because I have a single 20 mm that's going on the motor side in the 3 slot vent behind the 30mm.

    Do you still run this setup? If so, how has it been working for you? And what is the name of that fan hub you used?

    • @frozennorthproductions
      @frozennorthproductions  7 місяців тому +1

      Still using it and haven't had any issues. Mostly been using it with the new Forza and it doesn't over heat at all now. As for the replacement fan and extra fan I added.. I have no idea, it was some random junk fan I found in a bunch of old parts.
      They are pretty loud so I'm likely going to swap these out for some Noctua ones later down the road but right now it's been flawless.

    Or is there enough room for a 120mm fan? I haven't opened mine up yet 😅

    • @frozennorthproductions
      @frozennorthproductions  6 місяців тому +1

      120 was too much, but 80mm noctua will fit with some... persuasion... or 60mm noctua will fit right in without any mods, even though they're thicker, there's no issues at all

    I have zero confidence in my ability to do this without breaking it or otherwise ruining it 😭 so I think I’m just going to keep the top off and have a big desk fan pointed right at the motor 😅 also I’ll keep my room as cold as possible

    My respect to everyone who watched the video without fast forwarding and even made it to the end! All this talk is simply unbearable! In Germany we use to say: don't talk so much, get ready! 😎
    No offense, I just think you like hearing yourself talk too much, but it's very tiring for an informational video. Therefore, my recommendation: limit the information to the essentials and keep your mental thoughts to yourself, then you will probably win more viewers in other countries and cultures.
    For my part, I need a break after the video because the lard is boiling in my ears! 😂
    But overall, well done buddy, a thumbs up from me! 👍
