Just got mines after being on the fence for a year and I couldn’t stop smiling during my first couple laps on F1 23 & GT7. No matter if you’re a hardcore sim racer or casual a direct drive wheel is definitely worth it.

I got csl did with 8 nm. I will never use my g923 again. I’m still smiling
what configuration do you have for the gt dd pro base and feel all the details. I mean all the options that fanatec gives to move and get more details
It really depends from game to game but you can install fanalab and go to fanatec’s forums to see recommended settings that usually give you a good starting point for most games
How much cost and this engine is better then other fanatec engines for steering or there is some options ?
I’m saving up for this exact setup at the moment, I already have the CSL pedals with the loadcell brake, still using the G29 wheel atm but gonna get the CSL GT DD pro and the McLaren gt3 wheel rim

CSL wheel base & DD Pro look similar but are different.

Its the 8nm for me that is too low for f1 racing, currently rocking a dd1 podium and at now that I have gotten used 20nm which I use 75% of, there is no going back

Carlos a única coisa q me deixa de pé atrás é os pedais csl . Eu tenho uns tlcm e adoro.
Tens sempre forma de os usar na mesma no pc, certamente que deve ser possível! E depois se um dia quiseres tornar isso mais integrado e compatível com a PS logo compras os V2 ou V3
Can these be bought with the QR2 already installed?
Unfortunately at this moment they still come with the QR1. But in the future they will have the QR2. But ordering the QR2 lite base side and wheel side with it won't really cost that much extra

@@Edward_89rYou're way off man. I got mine with a wheel for around 700. Got a next level racing gt lite seat for 220 on Amazon when I first started barely $1,000 and you're all set with an amazing wheel you won't need to upgrade for a long time. Uou could also save money and build uour own cockpit which I eventually did as well with some 2x4

Not 100% sure but pretty positive you can get it to work. The game it self really isn’t very wheel friendly no matter the brand and you will have very little control of the force feedback settings apart from wheel angle

PlayStation compatibility. The csl dd is only pc and Xbox compatible

Yes!
As long as you pair it up with an Xbox compatible wheel since the Xbox chipset is built into the wheel, unlike the PS chip which is built into the base.
I had a g29 and I was always so impressed by all these comments made about the so called details in the force feedback; so much that I pulled the trigger and bought a GT DD Pro and tbh sure there is a bit more detail but it’s not that crazy as people make it up to be. It’s just different, it feels way smoother thats the biggest difference and the forces feel like magnets rather than gears. Then when I tried the best belt drive thrustmaster had to offer (the T2 or whatever it’s called) it felt terrible, way worse than the fanatec but surprisingly even worse than my g29, it felt like it had super strong force that was weird and not linear kinda like a resistance machine at the gym and there was a point in the steering where the force completely left and since it was so drastic my arm would go from putting so much strength to no strength so I would steer so much on accident.
sounds like you tryed the t248 its thurstmasters new low end wheel and its not belt drive its a hybrid drive (so gears and belt) which gives it good tuque cus its geared down a lot but makes it slow and having both give you the down side of both gear and belt.

Make sure you are using a good set up for whatever gane you're playing. I got the dd pro with 8nm boost pack and it completely blew away my old logitech and my roommates thrustmaster. Adjust the in-game settings and the fanatec settings through the wheel for every game to get the moat out of it. Sometimes you may have too much ffb and you will get clipping and you will feel no details it will just feel like your working out on a resistance machine like you said about the thrustmaster. If you ever get clipping your ffb is way too strong for the game or car you're playing and you're just ruining the experience. What game are you playing with your dd pro?
I was just playing some f1 22, I honestly think its down to experience because im a pretty high level driver on the game with the g29 so im veyry used to that gear driven ffb so I couldnt really understand the feedback from the dd, as for the TM i think it was just ass (it was at some place where they had some sort of gaming room iykyk) btw I dont have the 8nm boost kit unfortunately so idk if its down to that or maybe the ffb of f1 22 is just that ass.

It's a big money investment for sure! But rest assure that the experience of racing is fundamentally the same, yes it feels much more alive then any other wheel that I have tried but at the end of the day it's the racing and the competition that gets your heart pumping :)

@@carlosribeiroo Acho que por esse preço, tinhas um Simucube que esta a leguas desse. Mas la esta, tambem compraste o pacote completo, e se vens de um G29 é obvio que vais sentir diferença, mas o que descreves do DD Pro tambem ias sentir ao passar de um G29 para um T500RS. Para mim, a Fanatec é a nova Thrustmasters, e esta aproveitar-se da febre dos DD, nao é a toa que as bases DDs custam a volta dos 1000€, e eles vendem te o pacote completo por 700/900€ pedais, volante, base.
@@carlosribeiroo O que quero dizer é que se gostas de sim racing, provavelmente vais meter horas nisso, e com o tempo, vais ver esse material a dar de si, porque para praticarem os preços que praticam, precisam de cortar em algo, e nestes caso, o problema dos DDs da Fanatec, é a qualidade de construçao, no primeiro ano ta tudo ok, mas quanto mais uso deres, masi problemas vao aparecer, vais acabar por comprar uma base melhor, e chegas a conclusao que deitaste dinheiro fora com a Fanatec, mas se for pa jogar 1 ou 2 x por semana isso chega te

It will just be a new plastic one. Honestly upgrading to the qr1 or simply just buying a wheel that comes with one already on is the way to go. The plastic quick release will not work long term

Have had my QR1 for over a year with the CSL DD and it hasn't broken yet. So as a Moza fanboy, what else do you have to convince me?
