In order to make it work in a Nissan you have to have 2 usb cables & the adapter that you have is perfect for that because it has 2 usb ports. One regular & one type C. Connect the first to the adapter & use a different cable to connect the second port & to usb 2. The reason is Nissan cars need to get a power signal back from the dongle & to bypass that you need to connect it to 2 usb port. I have a 2018 maxima & it took me a long time to figure it out.
