Love your videos...just got accepted into a MS Business Analytics programme. The imposter syndrome bit really hits home. I always tend to compare myself with others who seem to know more, or are doing better than me in an educatonal setting..Have loads of programming experience but basic Statistical knowledge. I will go into this programme cognisant about my tendency and excel. Thanks once again.
My gawd this was so helpful thank you! I served the Air Force for 6 years in a somewhat technical role and I just transferred to a university as a junior to major in MIS and keep getting this haunting feeling of needing to learn everything there is to know and that others that grew up with tech have it all figured out and that I’m not good enough for the program. This helped me realize I’m not the only one going through this and it’s okay to feel like that.

I had a Q arika.. So the MSBA courses are jus 1 year or 1 nd half year mostly..So is it a good thing / worth it due to shorter duration of program? Is it treated similar to Master in CS of 2 years program???
Honestly it was so worth it for me because I was able to get into the job market quicker and start paying off my loans. It really depends on what you are interested in learning.

I've studied Bachelor of commerce and completed my mba in finance in India. so if i study business analytics can i have job oppurtunities ? and to do business analytics do we need IT skills? thats my question. plz answer me.
I would say the data field is definitely exploding right now and will continue to explode over the next decade. If you have the right skillset, I don't think it will be extremely difficult depending on the area you are in. You need great data(SQL, R/Python, Tableau/PowerBI) and communication skills and you should be set.

Hi Priya! Yes, you can leave. You just need to get a travel I-20 from your university. It shouldn’t be a problem.
@@ArikaReddy oh that’s great. So it’s possible to leave for few weeks on H1B or post study work visa right?
A lot of people told me once you get into US you cannot step out of it or visit India until you get H1B visa or else my post study work visa collapses.
@@priyak2857 If you leave on OPT you don’t have to get stamping in India. If you leave on H1-B you need to get stamping. That’s the only difference but either way you can leave.

Hi! I would say for my program 50% of the courses required coding. When it comes to an actual job, you can also opt for jobs that do not require coding honestly. Totally depends on your interests.
Hi should I consider business analytics over MBA? I’m worried. A friend told me the study requirements may be tough as I wish to do part time jobs while studying
MBA for being a manager. Master's in Business Analytics if you are into analytics.

Hey Arika I am really confused between MBA and MSBA as to which one to pursue. Can you please guide me on the same. Also is it not possible for an immigrant to have a side hustle like youtube on F1 and H1B visa
Hi Shubhi! This might be on my video list actually. So MBA will be much more management related than MSBA and will typically require more years of experience. MSBA is a bit more targeted for early career and more technical. If you need STEM verification, then more MSBA schools will be able to provide that. Although, there are some MBA’s that are starting to provide it. You can have a part time job on an F1 visa while in school(I worked in the admissions department) but not on H1b.
@@ArikaReddy Arika for example I pursue my MSBA and then go for a job for 2 - 3 years and then want to go for a full time MBA. Will this be possible coz my OPT would have been expired and I would need my employer to stay on H1B.
@@ArikaReddy Basically I wanted to ask will I be able to do an MBA post my MSBA? Have you seen indian immigrants doing it coz OPT would expire if I work post my MSBA
Hi Shubi, thanks for the question. You can technically do an MBA after an MSBA. However, you cannot get OPT twice for the same level. If you wanted to have OPT again you would have to pursue a PhD.
Can I be a data scientist using bachelor's in business analytics
Yes, you should be able to make that shift. I wound say generally data analyst roles fit those coming from Bachelors degrees. Data scientist roles generally prefer Masters level but plenty of people with a Bachelors join as well.

hi arika i discovered that programming was not my cup of tea while i was working in a company where my role was a dev i can code but iam not really passionate about it so i started finding options where my passion lies and MBA came across that paved the path towards Product management ,consulting,finance,entertainment ,marketing, etc MBA opened doors for me in those streams where i was actually thinking to land in but its too expensive for me to pursue an mba in usa and need some yrs experience thought there could be some masters programs in management side why not to expore then i found MSBA,MIM,MIS, Technology management ,marketing and brand management ,supply chain management etc iam aiming at tech industry such as google,apple ,qualcomm,netflix and to be part of thier product journey say as a product manger ,entertainment (netflix..),marketing in may be coca cola 😅iam kind of done with too much to be technical job could u plz help me in choosing a programe that involves the required learning and land up in my dream company+role which course should i pick for masters in usa? if its not an MBA can i consider MSBA? is it true MSBA is a quite technical course than other mangement courses plz help and reply thank u
Programming was really hard for me because I was taking 5 classes and I couldn’t keep up ! It was not my strongest class ! My strengths are in finance and accounting 🧾
