Thank you for this ! I am one of the poor souls who had a $1000.00 worth of Insteon become worthless overnight. I decided on Z Wave and got my Aeotec hub a couple of Enbrighten toggle switches and Series 7 plugs. I had a lot of trouble with the Enbrighten toggle switches BECAUSE they were actually GE switches even though that was NOT what was on the box or what was advertised on Amazon. If you tried to tell the system it was an Enbrighten switch it said QR code not recognized and there was no way to "manually" add it. When I did a system scan I saw it found a GE switch. Added that and it works !! The printed instructions that came with the "Enbrighten" switch actually match the GE instructions. e.g. reset sequencing. I passed this along on the Amazon site
Search for Smartthings compatible hubs. Smartthings hubs are not made any more, but there are other compatible hubs out there that work with Zwave switches.
Well, you wouldn’t. And I didn’t in the video. That’s a light almond plate. It’s a little lighter than the zwave paddles. Got a house full of them. Have a great day.
Then you likely have an older home wired without neutral wires. There are other "smart switch" options that might be a better fit. Enbrighten 52252 offers a similar path with Z-wave, but there are also other Zigbee and wi-fi options if you don't already have a z-wave controller.

Glad you figured it out!!
Great video. Like all that home automation.
I think I have over 50 of these switches now. Voice commands are really convenient to control lighting all around the property!
do these switches require a hub or can i control them from my cell phone??
Needs a hub
@@ApacheRanch any specific one?

How do I factory reset this!?
I’ve got another video on this channel on how to do that.
Why the hell would you put the almond covers on when you have a white plate?

I don’t have a bundle of white wires
