The no kitchen botters me more than the lack of space, I moved last month to a small space for Brazilian standards and but at least I have a good kitchen and bathroom, I'm too tall for those homes too, I can't even imagine. 😅
I would be okay with living in that kind of space. But I need also space for all my musical instruments. That is why I actually want a tuny house with two lofts. One for sleeping and one for the musical instrument too store them.
~looks at all of my plush, dolls, figures, dvds, blurays, boxsets, mangas, comics, graphic novels, light novels, books and video games including systems~ Uhhhh…I don’t think so.
Misato's enthusiasm about the camera was honestly my favorite part. Her being a hairdresser makes sense, she seems so friendly and calming to be around.
Lmao I was thinking the same thing.... Recently, I found myself complaining about living in a small apartment of 55m2 in a provincial capital in my home country.. I paid a reasonable price for my apartment when I bought it (well before the Pandemic and the subsequent rise in housing prices)... but I felt annoyed by the people who hold degrees in Economics who get paid better (I work in education) and are able to afford these luxurious penthouses downtown. Now I've seen this I know I should be more greatful
Such lovely people and I adore what they did with their limited space. As a NYC studio apartment person my place suddenly feels like a sprawling mansion! I've learned a lot from these young people.
I am from Hong Kong and moved to phily. When I was a foreign student, I lived in a 80 sq feet space. I feel not bad at all. Now, I am still living in a 1000 sq feet condo. I feel so big. 😂
I love how Kentaro exudes "aint nobody got time for that" energy in every corner of his apartment. Ladders? ANGTFT!! Bath tubs? ANGTFT!! Watering plants? ANGTFT!! Man is a 100% mood
I have a studio apartment myself, I'm a gamer but I've also maximized my space for convenience like him, I have quite a lot of fake plants/vines around because taking care of plants in such a small home isn't ideal (the plants don't do well due to quickly changing humidity and temperature). My studio is still at least double the size of his but it doesn't have a loft, it's a square with the bathroom and hallway/entrance taking up exactly 1/4th of the space, the rest is in an L shape, my kitchen is on 1 side of the L shape, my bed & clothing closet and bookshelf on the other side, in the 'corner' of the L shape is my 'living area' (desk, sofa & art supplies). My longest wall has 3 huge windows which are directly in my living and kitchen area. I closed off my bedroom area by using a clothing rack at the foot of my bed as a space divider and a sectional closet attached to my desk, in-between the sectional closet and clothing rack is space to walk through to my bed. Essentially I have a walkway through my studio in a U shape from my front door to my bed. It's pretty small but convenient and optimized, I'm so comfortable here that I've been living here for 10 years, it's very affordable too and in the center of my town in an 18th century building. There's always some downsides to studio apartments like this, in my case it's the lack of proper insulation (because of the huge historic single glass pane windows) and that it's not great for having guests over since I don't have much space for them to sit or sleep. But depending on your preferences and living standards this type of housing can either be horribly frustrating or a real comfort space. I think it's a matter of attitude/personality. So if you enjoy optimizing cozy spaces a small apartment could be ideal :)
Think Misato's apartment was the best out of the three. Loved the part where she wanted to hold your camera. Please do more tiny apartments, also maybe some uniquely big ones for Japan, and bring that engineer student with you to check them out!
The big ones probably won't allow you to film as they usually have celebrities or foreigners who work in embassies as tenants. There are 200 to 500sqm apartments though, which are considered big for Tokyo apartments.
I love seeing how people make use of small spaces, and these three made their apartments look completely different. I like the second one most for the layout, and I love the log cushions from the third 💜
I love getting to see how people actually live in these spaces and how different personalities take to them differently, these definitely make a lot of sense for college students and it comes as no surprise to me that Japanese students living in these tiny apartments are just about the same as American students in dorms
This was so interesting seeing how they all made different use of the space, I can’t understand why they built Misato’s toilet facing the wall when the others faced the door so at least they had a bit more room. It was lovely to meet them.
Honestly, while the guy from video on this place that happened around 2 years ago liked the separation between toilet and shower, it's clearly a bad design choice for the limited amount of space. Also, that the loft too impractical to access. Make the bathroom situation 1 room with shower + toilet to get more movement room and do some actual stairs to the loft. Sure, the stairs will eat up some lower area space, but some of that can be offset with built-in storage and the increased usability for the loft will make it worthwhile for people who can get up stairs but struggle with ladders.
Love the tiny home videos you do.. because it shows how creative people are at utilising the space.. It shows a bit of their personality based on how their room is organised and decorated.. Have a good one Norm..
As a petite 4’11” woman who is a minimalist with no children, I would LOVE one of these. But unfortunately, in the USA that’s filled with millions of obese people, it’ll probably get boycotted for discrimination by people who are too overweight to live in them
i love Kentaro's honesty about how he almost never uses the loft and just sleeps curled up, it's an example of how when we see videos of small homes from the outside it looks uncomfortable but actually living there you might realize that you don't actually use all the space that you have, and all the "extra" space you think you need can just end up being useless or for storage
@@amypola5903 well, we don't know his life, if he stays inside all day, if he goes on walks, exercises, maybe has some chronic pain that makes it painful to step up the ladder, maybe he is saving up for a bigger place.. pint is, we don't know what his situation is, we just saw a snippet of his life from the video and how he manages the space to make it comfortable for himself. What I meant with my comment was that sometimes we have more space the we use or need, more stuff, and we don't realize. For example, it made me think how I have a full dining room and living room and I never sit down to eat there or watch TV, I end up staying in my office all day, so why do I even have so much space if I don't use it? it's being wasted. it's interesting to think about the spaces we use, that's it lol
@@PaulaMVera Pushing for smaller and smaller spaces is dehumanizing. I appreciate living simply. I did for quite a while. Nothing wrong with it. The danger comes when people start limiting their environments to smaller and smaller spaces and relying on technology for their mental "exercise".
@@matthewmosier8439 Im a truck driver and live in a way smaller space than that like 10ft by 8ft is all i have and it is definitely a space humans can live in but it definitely isnt ideal. Having small spaces like this as an option i see nothing wrong with but its when these crazy people come along saying "you dont need space so you cant have it" is the problem.
I don't understand Kentaro,he can push all unwanted stuff up on the loft especially his clothes.Put the step ladder against the wall since loft is a storage space and have a small sofa bed that can pull out as bed for night so he doesn't curl up like a ball.or even he just sleep on futon.
I love these apartment videos. The second apartment was lovely. It looked so bright and well organised. I think hers was my favourite. It's so sweet her father comes over to help clean the air conditioner. That's the kind of thing my own father would have done, too. ❤
@@Blackadder75 yes, I chuckled over that too, and the extra clothes that don't fit her storage. That would be an issue for me too. 😂 Her room was very bright and welcoming despite these things.
They all chill af people! You'd think having such a small living space would effect you socially somewhat but they all seem full of life and all have a good sense of humour!
I guess that's not unusual in their country so it's socially acceptable. In my country if you live in an appartement like that people will weep for you and maybe give you some charity 😅
Misato's apartment is so cozy and her personality is super sweet. She utilized the loft so well. I like her magic touch in her apartment. The third apartment is really cool with overall jungle vibe, even the curtains have jungle print. Like his attitude towards small space. What I really like is the positive vibe of all three occupants. ❤❤❤
amazing how positive you can be with affordable living xD I really wish we had things like this in the US. Though I think my dog might have some things to say, either that or she would play better at dog parks -.- (shiba inu...)
I loved what Kentaro's done with all the artificial plants. It does certainly give his apartment a forest look. I wonder if he dusts or vacuums the leaves? But everyone you spoke to on this video have done great things with their spaces and made them very personal. I don't know if I could live in such a small space myself partly because I'd not want to have to reduce all my belongings so much, but for someone that's just starting out it's a good lesson in helping to avoid clutter.
@@jawaela Why do you care that I wondered?😂 The thing is, it's easy for plant leaves, whether artificial or real, to collect dust even if there's only one person living in that particular space. Dusting or vacuuming the leaves can be quite a therapeutic experience, because you can zone out of everything else for a while as you're doing it, plus, you end up with nice shiny plant leaves afterwards. If they're real plants it helps them to breathe better. If they're artificial it makes them look more realistic.
The Japanese guests are good humoured. I could not live in such a tiny space, but this was very interesting. I liked Misato's apartment best, it was light and clean and calming, and her loft was lovely.
My 30 year old back ached when she sat in her beanbag. My God. I know, she's young, she can handle it. I sit in an ergonomic computer chair and my lower back STILL complains to me. When I was young, I could sit in a beanbag like Misato all day, no problem. NOW? Max 10 min before my back starts to feel like it's being stretched. Damn. Getting old sucks.
I love these little apartments.. It's like your own personal sanctuary, fully hidden from the world. I've had living situations where I've shared space with other people and felt bothered, annoyed, unsafe, unable to relax. A tiny personal apartment like this would have been a small piece of heaven for me.
I feel the same. I rented a room and had to share a flat with 4 other people for 6 months. I would had killed for one of these instead of having to share an appartement with strangers.
It's so interesting to see how they all used their spaces VERY differently! I liked the layout of the Misato's, but the forest theme of Kentaro. Keeping the ladder away to maximize space is what I'd do. It's funny, just one of those apartments could fit into my bedroom three times. Not even my whole house, just my bedroom, and it's not even the biggest bedroom in my house. I can definitely see the appeal of them, but they're not for me. I like to pace when I think or listen to music, and I certainly couldn't pace there, haha. Hell, my book collection alone couldn't fit in one! I just like stuff 😅
I hope they’re genuinely happy/content with their space. I had a 30m2 studio apt. and after 4 years of living there as a student it felt like the walls were closing in on me. Moved to a 90m2 house and it still feels small, but I feel so blessed after seeing these tiny apartments.
How come you feel uncomfortable even after living in a 90 m2 house? Our family of four(my parents, me and my baby sister) have been living in a 100 m2 house for the past 12 years. It feels warm, cozy and full of love 😊
I loved the forest theme of the third space despite how small it was, the personalities of the owners really are shown in their apartments. But the toilet where you either cannot close the door or has your forehead plastered to the wall is a deal breaker for me 😂
I certainly like the idea of a tiny apartment, that it has all of what you need and nothing you don't. I have far too much stuff to fit in one but thats part of what I'd find enjoyable. Figuring out how to make the best use of the space and what I find important plus compromising. Really cool to see the individuality of the spaces and they're all so welcoming and nice!
Love seeing all of these different set ups! Especially the difference between the woman who puts her ladder away (on the wall) but uses her loft every day vs the guy who hardly ever goes up there but always has his ladder down.
Every single resident was interesting in their own way. They all had their little quirks and ways of life despite the small spaces they live in. Despite being claustrophobic I love the tiny house tours. Thank you for another unique glimpse into Japan!
It’s so nice that Misato’s dad comes all the way from Aichi to help clean her AC unit! I also liked her set up the best! The living space felt inviting! Kentaro’s plants were nice and his desk and gaming set up looks pretty comfy. But of all the three I think he’s under utilizing the space, esp the loft which admits he hardly uses and the bed is taking up a lot of space. He should get rid of the bed if he never uses and maybe store things or do something else with the space up there. Plus if he only goes up to loft once a week, he could totally move the ladder to the side like Misato did and be able to sleep more comfortable in the lower level. But typical man things lol 😂
@@BadDubII No, the ladder needs to hook to something or it will just fall if leaned against a wall. It's nice her dad helps her like that. Plus, it's an excuse to see his daughter! (I'm a mom of a daughter about that age)
As someone who lived in a tiny apartment last year (less than 150 square feet) and really wishes to go back, I really enjoy seeing how other people learned to live with their tiny apartments. I will admit my space was still bigger than these and had lots of built-in storage, so I was never as cramped as these ones were, but still seeing general ideas on how to decorate and utilize the space is really interesting! Tiny spaces are much more manageable for one person to deal with and take care of and helps keep your stuff to a minimum so I really love them! I just wish they were more common here in the US. Finding another tiny apartment in a good area will be a real struggle...
Although I'm in a tiny apartment myself, these still feel drastically smaller than the one I'm in. It's cool to see how they've all used the space for various different things, and done so efficiently.
Loved this video. They each seemed so friendly and it was neat seeing what each of 'em did with the limited space. That last guy's place felt like a nice little hideaway. Honestly I'd love a little place like this. It seems so cozy and it's nice and simple.
These people have done so well at making use of the space they've got! Very interesting video Norm, and I hope we get to see Ozaki-san again too sometime! Her perspective is so unique and interesting :)
i love seeing videos like this. it is interesting how people adapt to such tiny spaces and how they accomodate to their needs in such spaces. all of this almost gave me claustrophobia but seeing each tiny apartment decorated and arranged differently helped. i could never live in such a tiny area so i admire people who can. its amaying!! i look foward to more videos like and thank you so much providing us such great content :)
it's cool seeing these apartments empty but it even's cooler seeing them actually in use. what they own n how they use the space really speaks to their daily lives n what they each value. hijiri's was the most appealing visually i really liked his minimalism, but kentaro was the most relatable n i loved his theme cause that made the room feel more cohesive.
I love tiny apartments! Hijiri's place was the nicest one planning wise yet I liked how Kentaro added a bit of ''nature'' to his abode as it felt really cozy! I've lived in many different size apartments and I know for sure that the ones on a smaller end are the ones for me!
Love this video.I am moving to a tiny apartment and I was afraid it wouldn't be possible to live. This guy's actually enjoy, makes me change my idea of this new experience coming to my life.
As someone who struggles with letting go of stuff, I absolutely love these videos 'cause they're honestly giving me great ideas on what I can do to free up my space and be smarter about storage and what I need. It's a never ending struggle, but I really appreciate this whole series. Thanks, Norm! (Also, I recall you saying you're probably not going to be able to do much more shamisen after your accident, but I hope you're still playing a little and giving your lovely instruments some love. Sending you all the good vibes as a beginner shamisen player~)
Dude #3 might not be too different from you. He's got a lot of stuff, as well, but even he managed to lay out the space as he needs it and is comfortable for him. :)
@@Kuchenwurst You're quite right actually! Funny enough, 6 months later I'm actually in the middle of a mass decluttering because I'm moving to a smaller apartment next month. My new space won't be as tiny as #3, but I'm 100% taking some ideas from him 'cause it's just so dang cozy and utilitarian. (Also I can't believe how much stuff I have. Why do I keep so much stuff? It's actually insane how much I have gotten rid of and it doesn't look like I've made much of a dent. )
I really love Kentaro's use of plants. Out of the three, I like Misato's the best though. It seemed really cozy. Not sure if I could handle living in a tiny apartment, but I really love seeing how they utilize the space.
Love these tours and would love to poke around in them in even more detail. I noticed Kentaro had lots of labeled storage containers in his kitchen and I was really curious what’s in them since he said he doesn’t cook much!
It's amazing to see how different people use the same space. I loved Kentaro's personalization with the forest theme, but then also i love Misato's storage!! Someone get Kentaro some shelves for that front area though, and get Misato an extendable duster for her ac lol. Hijiri pretty much has the perfect permanent hotel room lol.
I love how Kentaro committed to the theme with the forest curtain and log cushions. He should hang a deer head on the wall and get some ceramic birds to complete his decor.
It's crazy how that can be considered a "luxury" apartment when you can't even poop in privacy. I mean, not that you'd want to have anyone over in such a tiny apartment, but lets say you did, and one of you had to use the restroom. Also, it's really convenient for the first guy to get free food and access to the baths due to his job. He wont' be forced to have to cook in a extremely tiny kitchen, and he can leisurely take a bath in a large area without being cramped.
They were all great but the last one had a clear vision about his place. He transformed his bottom floor to a fascinating living space. That's actually how I would wanna live as a gamer myself. Great video idea to explore how people make use of the tiny apartments in interesting and creative ways.
I think I would love to live in an apartment like this if I was single and had no pets. Before working from home I was rarely home throughout the day, so it would probably work for me. I'm super organized, so it would definitely be enough space for all the essentials and hobbies.
These videos really put things in perspective. I complain about not having enough room for my things, and his entire living space is smaller that my bathroom - and he seems so happy!
I just discovered this video. Your guests are such beautiful people to share their homes with everyone. You have to be very creative to create such unique living spaces. Nice to really see how you can live a happy life anywhere.
The 3rd apartment was definitely the coziest. It's surprising how more comfortable it looked with the fake plants and forest curtain. the brown futon really adds to the forest motif as the faux forest floor.
Kentaro-san's room is my favorite! He looks like a nature fan and draws in a more soothing, down-to-earth atmosphere for even small spaces. Very cozy and eye appealing :D Ganbatteyo!🌻
All the residents seem so sweet ☺ This type of housing might be nice. I usually am renting just a room in a house with other people so I'm really jealous of their privacy and independence. Super great video 👏
sweet maybe for the camera, but I know they drink themselves to sleep. humans were out and about in the vast forest and now they're living in conditions like this. It doesn't make it good just because it's Japan, it's a sad state of affair tbh.
It will never not blow my mind how tiny these places are, yet the people all seem to love how cozy they all are. It would make you carefully think out every purchase. Still, love seeing how each person makes their living space so unique. On to the next one!
Because anyone that can't live that way won't be the ones staying in them lol All you are left with are the minimalists that don't mind such cramped quarters
I'm so curious what they're experiences (and everyone from the tiny home collection) were during Covid lockdown. They all said they're rarely home, but what was life like when they could only be at home?
These apartments may have been new, as in no one occupied them during the lockdown at the time. All the residents may be residents who came in afterwards. Also, Japan never had an official nation wide lockdown. Japan's government doesn't have the authority to enforce a city wide lockdown, at best they can make announcements for people to try to stay inside, but cannot legally enforce it. So nobody would be forced to stay inside.
@@KingPinguofDingu that was the case for my country too, however everything was closed so you could basically only be outside outside (with only people from your household, no meeting others) and we did have a curfew for I think 8pm after that you weren't allowed outside unless u were walking ur dog
@@KingPinguofDingu good point! A couple mentioned being university students and a friend of mine living in Tokyo said her daughter wasn’t going to school during a portion of 2020-2021 and had to stay home. But it’s really likely they moved in more recently and Norm has mentioned these are newer buildings in the past.
The more I see the loft space on your tiny apartment series, the more somehow I want to live there too😆I like how they feel comfortable and content about living in such a tiny apartment! People pursuit better place and better life but seems they are really satisfied with their situation and it's like a life lesson☺
I don’t know if I could ever live in these tiny sized apartments (being from California) but I do like how the girl utilized her space. In fact, I’m a little shocked of how much she was able to fit in there without it feeling claustrophobic. I’m guessing she’s very good with math. Lol🙂
I'm not that great at organizing space (even with a room that's about double these rooms) but I agree with Kentaro's thought of figuring out how to optimize each corner of space to its best. It's like mental exercise for me, especially so when you're living within limits.
Really enjoyed these different perspectives! I used to live in student flat where everyone had the same room layout, I always loved seeing how different people make use of an decorate the same space, especially in a small place like this.
I absolutely adore your tiny apartment videos. It is always interesting to see how people use their limited space and how different people prioritise different things. It's also fascinating to see how much can fit in a small apartment if the space is utilised well. Love that these apartments do have enough space to cook and a seperate space to sleep. Makes it feel much more like a home than completely open rooms. But I would have trouble with the small toilets. What if you have people over and can't close the toilet door because you are too tall 😳
I love the first guys bedroom with the gaming monitor and ps4. Super cozy and would be so relaxing for me. I think as long as their was one window somewhere and a through fire exit plan I’d be ok with it for a while :)
I consider those to be some of the more livable tiny spaces you've shown and might consider living there myself. I love all the plants/green (even if fake) in the third one. Settled in Tokyo and now to sleep. 🤞 Have a great week, Norm. 💜✌🐦
So interesting to see how differently people use such a tiny space! Also love how the first two named the loft as their favorite part of the apartment, but the third person doesnt like going up and down xD I dont think i could live there, i like collecting things way too much, my stuff would never fit in there :‘D
I love seeing the different ways in which people utilise the space. While maybe this would be a little be cramped for me, I do agree with Kentaro's appreciation of the spaces and making them work. Although, I think as Misato eloquently highlighted, those toilets take tiny to a next level and I'm not sure I could handle them!
Hijiri's apartment and concept is the one that suited me a lot. I don't like having too much stuffs around coz it's such a pain with all of my stuffs when I wanted to move places. I also love tables like it's my sanctuary because I study a lot and I read a lot for my major lmao.
Yea! I love these tiny home videos. I would definitely live in a space like these. I liked what Misato did to her place. I think a combination of her style with the plants would be really cool. Awesome video! 👍
It's so fascinating to see the different ways ppl get creative to utilize the space to the best of their abilities for their specific needs. Fascinating ❤
I really love these videos. It's so cool to see how different people use their little spaces! I would *totally* live in the forest- themed apartment. Or seems so peaceful and relaxing. 😊
I would absolutely live in these apartments. It's fun to see how to utilize a space and decorate it in a way that reflects my personality. I always had people over in my dorm room/apartment and no matter what size i was working with, it has always been an inviting space that folks want to hangout in.
I liked all of them. There are so many good things about each, I'd probably use a combination of their ideas. Even though the apartments are small, they are actually the right size for one person. edit: I also want to add that I too am a small person. I'm only 4'10" (147 cm), so I think that can make a difference, as a small space does not feel as small to me.
I love how you show the world different ways of living in japan, and that people let us into their personal spaces and tell us their story. I think it is amazing that you document these things. Really appreciate it
Loving the tiny apartments! They seem to encapsulate the essence of their owners. I would wholeheartedly move into one having lived in larger apartments that just felt TOO big. The second apartment sold me because of the washer (and toilet configuration of all things). 😳 Thank you for another great video! Take care!
That last guy's room was perfect, really if you spend most of your time at your PC, everything else is just more stuff you have to clean and maintain for no good reason. I could definitely live there full-time, but even if you need more space it would make for a great remote office.
The only thing that would bother me is not being able to clothes the door for the toilet but other than that it’s a great space. I’m like the last guy and I’ve always found small spaces to be more comfortable. Makes me feel safe and cozy.
When I was in college I would've loved to have a space like this. Most time at home was to sleep and relax, play games, watch a movie, but I was on campus all day. The US, especially college towns, could learn from these kinds of spaces.
As someone who lived in a goshiwon in Seoul for a year, it really intrigues me how people decorate their tiny homes. I wish I had done something similar in my space

If you are talking about Okazaki she's an architect and she graduated already
I totally agree
The big ones probably won't allow you to film as they usually have celebrities or foreigners who work in embassies as tenants. There are 200 to 500sqm apartments though, which are considered big for Tokyo apartments.
She was adorable!
I love seeing how people make use of small spaces, and these three made their apartments look completely different. I like the second one most for the layout, and I love the log cushions from the third 💜
hahaha yeah he really created that "Forest" theme lol
love it
I enjoyed the log cushions too once I noticed they were in fact cushions lol
Have a good one Norm..
amazing how different each of them are haha

As a petite 4’11” woman who is a minimalist with no children, I would LOVE one of these. But unfortunately, in the USA that’s filled with millions of obese people, it’ll probably get boycotted for discrimination by people who are too overweight to live in them
i love Kentaro's honesty about how he almost never uses the loft and just sleeps curled up, it's an example of how when we see videos of small homes from the outside it looks uncomfortable but actually living there you might realize that you don't actually use all the space that you have, and all the "extra" space you think you need can just end up being useless or for storage
Might have used it more if the ladder was steeper.
it was funny that she still had like 20 pairs of shoes .. girls will be girls
@@Blackadder75 yes, I chuckled over that too, and the extra clothes that don't fit her storage. That would be an issue for me too. 😂 Her room was very bright and welcoming despite these things.
They were all so sweet and welcoming. It's so interesting to see how they live in their humble abode, and make it their own space.

@@Insharai that would be border line animal abuse … for indoor cats for sure!
I'm just commenting to get a notification when someone answers the question :>
Why do you care if some random guy vacuums his plants or not💀
@@jawaela Why do you care that I wondered?😂 The thing is, it's easy for plant leaves, whether artificial or real, to collect dust even if there's only one person living in that particular space.
Idk but he could detach them and shower them
The Japanese guests are good humoured.
I love these little apartments.. It's like your own personal sanctuary, fully hidden from the world. I've had living situations where I've shared space with other people and felt bothered, annoyed, unsafe, unable to relax. A tiny personal apartment like this would have been a small piece of heaven for me.
Me too .. but i would defo go minimalist 😂❤
I feel the same. I rented a room and had to share a flat with 4 other people for 6 months. I would had killed for one of these instead of having to share an appartement with strangers.
go snd live in it. you must be deeply sick into your mind.
Yes, the 30mq is definitely too small.
I have a 25 mq room (only room) and that's nothing
How come you feel uncomfortable even after living in a 90 m2 house? Our family of four(my parents, me and my baby sister) have been living in a 100 m2 house for the past 12 years. It feels warm, cozy and full of love 😊

@@TokyoLens True. Loved that little peek into what you can do with 5sqft. Thanks!
They are all so cute!! And so kind of them to show us their appartment. Greetings from Finland!!
I am not going to complain about my space anymore. Things you watch that make you grateful
Couldnt she use the ladder from the loft to clean the AC unit herself? lol

Loved their perspective and grateful, nonchalant attitude. So beautiful. We can learn a lot from them 🙏🏼💕
Hijiri's was my favourite. He choose a style which revolved around the ladder not needing to be moved. Smart!
Her perspective is so unique and interesting :)
definitely more Okazaki coming soon!

Misato has what I can only describe as an adorable personality, and her talking about her dad coming over to help her clean made me smile so much!!
it's cool seeing these apartments empty but it even's cooler seeing them actually in use. what they own n how they use the space really speaks to their daily lives n what they each value. hijiri's was the most appealing visually i really liked his minimalism, but kentaro was the most relatable n i loved his theme cause that made the room feel more cohesive.
I love tiny apartments! Hijiri's place was the nicest one planning wise yet I liked how Kentaro added a bit of ''nature'' to his abode as it felt really cozy! I've lived in many different size apartments and I know for sure that the ones on a smaller end are the ones for me!

@@Kuchenwurst You're quite right actually! Funny enough, 6 months later I'm actually in the middle of a mass decluttering because I'm moving to a smaller apartment next month. I actually really like Kentaro's room because of the way he used the plants. Makes me want to put some up of my own 😊
I really love Kentaro's use of plants.
He wont' be forced to have to cook in a extremely tiny kitchen, and he can leisurely take a bath in a large area without being cramped.
it's considered luxury cause everything is new. And they were probably the first to move in.

Very cozy and eye appealing :D

I guess on the plus side, the door does open to block the apartment off from view at least. Would be so unfortunate if it opened the other way lol

So interesting to see how differently people use such a tiny space! Also love how the first two named the loft as their favorite part of the apartment, but the third person doesnt like going up and down xD I dont think i could live there, i like collecting things way too much, my stuff would never fit in there :‘D
hahaha yea my stuff wouldnt fit there anymore either lol
It was great to see how differently these spaces can be arranged and that also showed how tiny they actually are.
What I like most is the separation of shower and toilet also the separation of bed/ entertainment & study area
If I was smaller and younger and no kids, I could do it. I love all of it. It's an introverts dream.

Thank you for another great video!

Thanks so much as always Sarah!!
They all have washer hookups, the last guy just doesn't use his. I like the 1st and 3rd WC's, I don't mind leaving the door open if means leg room.

Being over 6’2” and 280lbs this kind of lifestyle would be impossible for me. I couldn’t imagine being so confined…
When I was in college I would've loved to have a space like this. Most time at home was to sleep and relax, play games, watch a movie, but I was on campus all day. The US, especially college towns, could learn from these kinds of spaces.
Us has option but yeah the price is prohibitive.
(I am sure you knew that)
As someone who lived in a goshiwon in Seoul for a year, it really intrigues me how people decorate their tiny homes. I wish I had done something similar in my space
Narrow and clean places are the best for people who are lonely just like me ❤
These tiny apartment videos are my fav! Hope you keep finding them :D
More to come!
