Maybe the only flaw in Sony phones is the simple camera app... Can't pull out the best of their cameras... BUT everything else is simply superior to the competitors
They dont get the recognition cuz the ware overpriced for nothing. Last few years their flagships struggled with the competition and there is a reason for their downfall , if you want to see it or not is up to you. Camera was not the best. Speakers ware weak. Screens ware LCD when oleds ware everywhere. Also for a company that makes one of the best headphones in the world they dont have a headphone jack. Amazing. They create lens and camera modules for basicly everybody and still are behind. Their software in my experience was one of the slowest and i still dont understand why cuz they are pretty close to stock android. Let me not forget the bloatware. This entire video is all great and whatever, sounds like a commertial to me and you are reciving preise for talking good about sony. Open your eyes, there is phones twice as good as xperia for half the cost. Ive been 3 years on sony, but enough is enough.

Sony displays are the only ones.. who can display an almost identical color to my Eizo screens... dont get me wrong.. the camera software has to be improved ... but the UI is the fastest on the market... even one of my 2015er Xperia Phones... outperformed the Huawei 2018s flagships... and this is worth to be mentioned. and also some phones from sony... especially the Xperia Z5 Premium (which was released at the end of 2015 !!!) had a better Display accuracy than the S9 Lineup from samsung.. which are 2018... and the battery is also superior to almost every other competitor... not in size but in tech... one of my 2017 xperia phones... which was more than one year old when i purchased the p20 pro... brand new... and had a better batterylife... with an old battery... so dont trust just those moron youtubers... they got paid for their "honest" reviews ;)
@@bojangbg Sony's poor marketing policy with their Xperias is one of the key reasons of their downfall. IPS LCD on my XZP produces quite similar punchy color if not better compared to high end OLED panels of other manufacturers. Not to mention that the colors are more life like on it.
im still using the z5 premium with snapdragon 810 chipset and side fingerprint im really satisfied with its perfomance and the manual controll camera gives me everything i want the display is good too im will always be the sony phones fan
This was the most advanced improvement compared to the competitors when in 2015 some "flagships" still had 720p 🤣 I had the z5premium and switched to the xz premium... After that I tried the huawei p20 pro and have never been more disappointed of a device... Now back to the xz3 and my next is the xperia 1⃣

@@dreudax3294 wow dude, how this happened. Well as far as I know you can only replace it from behind. You should heat the surface over 100-110 degrees Celsius for about 60 seconds. Be careful and try to losen the glue with a thin plastic, haven't done this on the xz premium but we used a credit card. I'm not sure how experienced you are in terms of technical maintenance.. But it could be complicated. As I said I've never done this on the premium.
@@bojangbg It happened when i dropped my phone and i think the cable got lose mayb, bcus the display still works fine only touch is not working. mI have seen that for normal xz u can remove scree only and there is a bracket which u take out and can easily remove scree. I want to know if its same for this device.
@@robpesantezza5285 Who needs tangled cables when you can have Bluetooth! I've been using Bluetooth earphones for years and they don't seem to break on me! Every cabled earphones I've had lasted no more than 4 months! I'm currently using the XZ2 Compact now and never been happier! It can still keep up with most flagships phones to this day. Besides, if you really want a headphone jack, the box comes with a 5mm adapter and wired Sony earphones.
I still have the original Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Still going strong after 2.5 years with Android Pie. Battery health currently on 100% still. 17 hours a day with average 3 hours screen on time. I watch videos on my commute to and from work. I had LG flagships and Samsung flagships previously. I find Sony has best sound and visuals. Though camera quality is probably their con compared to others. I'm sticking to Sony.

Factory setup Nougat performs like a charm in terms of battery performance on this phone as per the users. With factory setup Oreo on my XZP, I have never got the battery performance close to what Nougat users posted.

Sony fan forever from Xperia Z1 to Z3 which I had close to 6 years if not longer if I had not lost it. Now the Xperia 1 and soon Xperia 10 as a workphone. Can never get bored♥️

I've had almost all of Samsungs Galaxy series, had the Sony Z1S in between, and then to XZ Premium and still use it, and still love it! I will never go back to Samsung. Sony phones are the best!

I went for the XZ1 a couple months ago. It covers all the bases and even still gets updates, at least at the time of writing this it's gotten a June 2019 security patch. For an open box, basically brand new model at $300CAD I really couldn't pass it up.
I've got the XZ premium. It's okay but looking forward to getting a new phone. I like the screen, headphone jack and front facing speakers. The camera has been decent. But right now I'd get £25 on trade in. Value depreciated horribly. And after almost 2 years of having it, it's sharp corners have put holes in 2 pairs of my jeans. Love the square look to it though

I just want an Xperia phone without compromise. The Xperia 1 is really tempting but I'm really not feeling the lack of wireless charging and even face unlock. I hope their next checks all the flagship things first.

I had the XZ premium for two years and it's time to upgrade so on here to get an idea. Love this phone and would keep it but the battery wont go on forever. The Xperia 5 has just come out but I may go for the cheaper option of the Xperia 1. Will never go back to IPhone or Samsung phones. Sony make the best phones out there.
does anyone know why Sony went downhill with reception after the Sony Xperia XZ Premium? I've upgraded to the XZ2 Premium, 1, and even tried the 1 Mark ii, still it seems every generation gets a little worse? anyone? Sony? did Sony change suppliers? I'm in an area where signal is weak already, and so the slightest change will drop calls, and affect data usage. you would think living in the 2nd largest city in the US, I would not have these issues, it's not like I live in the woods in Montana.

I used an LG G3 back in the day, bought the phone because i waited for my upgrade and my Xperia Z1 got lost, and i was impressed. So i decided to give LG another try, and its great. I love Sony, but LG is also not getting the recognition it deserves
I pretty sure is has - Sonys settings hasn't changed at that point since the Xperia Z, which was my first Smartphone in 2014. Now, five years later, i got the XZ Premium, and it has the exact same equalizer :D By end of the week i will have my Xperia 1 unit (hopefully it will be here by thursday or friday....), then i can confirm it 100% if u want.
@@paddipat thanks! I have the XZ premium as well atm. I was wanti g to make sure bc for every reviewer I've seen, they seem to have only shown the two audio setting when listening via BT. My guess is that it may be in the Dolby atmos settings which no one really went I depth with 🤔

@@yurigladtsynov1632 surprisingly I got the phone today! Indeed, there is no equalizer anymore. I will try out the Equalizer in the Sony Headset App to find out if it bothers me. And I will try to see how the music sounds on my Soundbar now without it. Will give some feedback afterwards.
I actually switched away from Sony now. I've used sony since the first Xperia Z or Pro came out. Up until 2 weeks ago i had the Xperia XZ, Good phone. However one massive peeve I have had with sonys is their lazy camera software support. It has basically been the same, unchanged camera software and features for 8 years. With minor changes here and there granted. One of the things I always wanted was a "pro" mode for video shooting at 60+ fps for example. This due to the fact I often take high speed photos (we are talking thunderstorm and flying birds, I need all the FPS I can get). The absolute best for me is manual focus on the 120+fps camera modes. Makes no sense to me why we would not be able to change that ourselves. Especially with thunderstorms at night you REALLY need manual focus, as of yet not a single Sony phone has nailed that part at night time. I have always asked for a manual focus setting for videos. But alas with the Xperia 1 i felt they have taken a big step back for "professional" photo shooting. After all the rumors last year that they would use their new 40mp sensor. finding out they didn't use this was a great disappointment. And image "stability" during movement. So, after a lot of thinking and testing i decided to go with the Huawei P30 Pro over Xperia 1. Sony is still close to my heart and I really hope they flesh these things out more. Especially adding those camera features, from a software standpoint I feel they have fallen behind a lot. This cinema mode is a step in the right direction, granted. It is just nothing for me nor is it good enough for a change for me to get it.
Really a beastly device and a solid camera experience battery life could bw better the display is amazing probably not deep blacks like on xz3 but the xz2 premium was a very capable phon3 that wasn't as popular enough
On an XA2 the now. Had it since September last year. Looking to upgrade at some point because I'd like to see what the other companies offer, plus bigger batteries and less bezels. Still thinking about the Samsung S10 or OnePlus 7 Pro as two possible choices. 🤔

Best design is the Z5/Z5 Premium, best performance is the XZ Premium. I owned the former, currently using the other.

I've just downloaded yesterday Fluid Gesture Navigation on my XZ3 and works perfectly with no navigation bar or pill at all! You should try it.

I had the XZ premium for two years and it's time to upgrade so on here to get an idea. Love this phone and would keep it but the battery wont go on forever. The Xperia 5 has just come out but I may go for the cheaper option of the Xperia 1. Will never go back to IPhone or Samsung phones. Sony make the best phones out there.
does anyone know why Sony went downhill with reception after the Sony Xperia XZ Premium? I've upgraded to the XZ2 Premium, 1, and even tried the 1 Mark ii, still it seems every generation gets a little worse? anyone? Sony? did Sony change suppliers? I'm in an area where signal is weak already, and so the slightest change will drop calls, and affect data usage. you would think living in the 2nd largest city in the US, I would not have these issues, it's not like I live in the woods in Montana.
just finished this vid, am looking to upgrade my z3 as the screen keeps coming out and theres only so many times you can justify the repair cost at the local "repair" store. so im having a toss up between the xperia 10 and the L3, which would be the better option?

I'm really upset that Sony left the middle east market I was really looking to upgrade from my Z5P that to this day works perfectly to the Xperia 1.
Also took a break from Sony for just a tadd and grabbed me the LG G7 ThinQ. I used an LG G3 back in the day, bought the phone because i waited for my upgrade and my Xperia Z1 got lost, and i was impressed. So i decided to give LG another try, and its great. I love Sony, but LG is also not getting the recognition it deserves

Question: does the xperia 1 have custom audio settings specifically eq settings for clear bass extension?
I pretty sure is has - Sonys settings hasn't changed at that point since the Xperia Z, which was my first Smartphone in 2014. Now, five years later, i got the XZ Premium, and it has the exact same equalizer :D
By end of the week i will have my Xperia 1 unit (hopefully it will be here by thursday or friday....), then i can confirm it 100% if u want.
@@paddipat thanks! I have the XZ premium as well atm. I was wanti g to make sure bc for every reviewer I've seen, they seem to have only shown the two audio setting when listening via BT. My guess is that it may be in the Dolby atmos settings which no one really went I depth with 🤔

Indeed, there is no equalizer anymore. I will try out the Equalizer in the Sony Headset App to find out if it bothers me. And I will try to see how the music sounds on my Soundbar now without it. Will give some feedback afterwards.

I actually switched away from Sony now. I've used sony since the first Xperia Z or Pro came out.
Up until 2 weeks ago i had the Xperia XZ, Good phone.
However one massive peeve I have had with sonys is their lazy camera software support.
It has basically been the same, unchanged camera software and features for 8 years. With minor changes here and there granted.
One of the things I always wanted was a "pro" mode for video shooting at 60+ fps for example.
This due to the fact I often take high speed photos (we are talking thunderstorm and flying birds, I need all the FPS I can get).
The absolute best for me is manual focus on the 120+fps camera modes. Makes no sense to me why we would not be able to change that ourselves.
Especially with thunderstorms at night you REALLY need manual focus, as of yet not a single Sony phone has nailed that part at night time.
I have always asked for a manual focus setting for videos. But alas with the Xperia 1 i felt they have taken a big step back for "professional" photo shooting.
After all the rumors last year that they would use their new 40mp sensor. finding out they didn't use this was a great disappointment.
And image "stability" during movement.
So, after a lot of thinking and testing i decided to go with the Huawei P30 Pro over Xperia 1.
Sony is still close to my heart and I really hope they flesh these things out more. Especially adding those camera features, from a software standpoint I feel they have fallen behind a lot.
This cinema mode is a step in the right direction, granted. It is just nothing for me nor is it good enough for a change for me to get it.

Really a beastly device and a solid camera experience battery life could bw better the display is amazing probably not deep blacks like on xz3 but the xz2 premium was a very capable phon3 that wasn't as popular enough
