@@CarefreeRambler it was last years model clearout. Dealer pricing special. This happens quite often in PEI as its a small place and not many people can afford a brand new truck
I have to say i got more information from you than anyone else on UA-cam or even the dealership. I am in the market of buying a trail boss. Now i am getting one Thank you for making sense. Keep up the good work
Thank you very much, glad to hear it! That’s the goal with these videos. I didn’t get a lot of time with it, but it sure seems like a solid truck! Enjoy your new Trail Boss when you get it! 👍
chance bledsoe I honestly think is like that in every new design car or truck.. you first don’t like it but after seeing it more and more is more you like it
I test drove the Custom Trail Boss and I loved it. The ride quality is definitely better than current 2017 LT Z71 ride. No question about it. There's a little bit of whine from the Goodyear Duratrac tires but you're obviously going to have that. As far as looks you are right, you need to look at things in person and that goes for any brand of vehicle. Man, I remember when Ford changed the front end of the F-150 for the model year 1987. Google that image from '86 to the '87 truck. People straight lost their minds. But people still bought the trucks in '87... about 5000 more than what they sold in 1986 despite all of the "OMG, what the hell did Ford do to the front of the truck!?? That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen!" You know what? People get over it and life goes on. Just drive whatever brand truck you like and let it be. You can go cut firewood and throw it in the back of a Honda Ridgeline if you want to... if that gets the job done for you.
Custom trailboss can be had for less than 35g now. Basic interior but you get all the off rd equipment, tow package and the 5.3 with a 6 speed. I traded in my 13 sierra with the 5.3 and this 19 is much more powerful. The truck really goes good, handles nice and rides nice even with the stiffer shocks. Do yourself a favor and order a set of aftermarket steps, gm wants 1000 bucks, the mount holes are already there, I bought a set for 200 and installed them in 30 min. The LT is a rip off, the few extras are not worth 12 or 14 grand.
5093329225 very true but I’m higher trims the 150 has a more luxurious interior at least for me. The ram has real nice materials as well. In base models I agree they all offer too much plastic.
Yes and I feel the opposite. I feel there is more plastic in the Chevy in comparison to my F150 FX4. Went from a FX4 to Z71 back to an FX4. One of the reasons being the interior. But that's not the only reason. If it were I would have went with Dodge. I think they're doing the best as far as interior goes right now.
OffRoadPatriot their both designed well in my opinion i prefer the design of the ford. The plastic in the chevy has a much better looking and feeling finish unlike the ford in my opinion. and im talking about 2014 and above. I agree that ram is in a different level now.
I didn't like the styling when G.M. first came out with the new Silverado in 2019. Now I love it. Maybe the new look just grew on me. I bought me a new 2020 LT Z71 on Jan 31st, 2020. Anyhow, I love the NEW styling.
Just picked up a 2020 LT. Handles well and surprisingly not a lot of road noise from the tires. It helps that they added that carpet in the wheel wells to keep that noise to a minimum. The extras from the LT that the custom doesn’t have to me is well worth the extra money. I had a 2015 Silverado LS before this with no extras and having the leather, heated seat and wheel, the 8 inch screen, dual climate zones, power seats, back seat vents, the 120v outlets, charging ports in the back seat, and everything else the LT has is definitely worth it to me. Everyone has their own taste.
Nothing wrong with the exterior design in my opinion, always liked it from the first time I saw it. However, GM got lazy with the interior design. The new 2019s are cool and capable trucks.
Picked up my trail boss LT this week. Good time to buy a truck with the end of year deals. Absolutely love the color, Havana Brown. This is the nicest looking of all the Chevy trucks.
I just finished watching the whole review! Definitely very well presented and executed! I really like the styling of this new 2019 Silverado. Also, the cabin looks incredibly spacious and versatile. I'll probably still lean towards the Ram when it comes to interior styling... Mainly due to it's HUGE portrait style touchscreen. The Silverado definitely seems like a solid choice though. All in all, great review! From one car reviewer to another, keep up the excellent work, Nolan!
@@fivecrosses9040 it will come in both the Custom Trail Boss and LT Trailboss trims along with the RST for 2020. Those are in addition to the High Country and LTZ where the 6.2 is currently offered.
Thinking about buying one this week. It’s a Woodland Green color. Honestly the Trailboss to me is one of the best looking trucks on the road next to TRD Pro Tundra and Ford Raptor and Ram Rebel. Apparently I have a “type”...
Awesome Truck!! GREAT JOB CHEVY!!! To bad that they, along with all vehicles, are way OVERPRICED!!! But I may buy a 2019 or 2020 in ten or twenty years!
Honestly, at the end of the day who can afford this? Only a single guy with no kids, no girlfriend, a shitty apartment, but has a decent job can afford this truck. He would be truck poor every month. After one year of car payments, insurance and the car tag renewal fee, and the friends aren’t impressed anymore that he’d realize he made a bad mistake. But then, You find you’re upside down in your truck loan and can’t get out of the truck. Then you start charging up your other credit cards to stay afloat. Now your in your mid 30’s with a low credit score trying to buy a house and can’t. Oh. So instead of staying in your shitty apartment, you move back home with your parents. GET THE PICTURE?
Haha, seriously. If I was in the market for a new truck...no way would I go for a brand new one. Sadly the picture you painted is probably true with too many people
@@MrJobe007 i have a few coworkers with brand new decked out trucks and yes they live with their moms. I dont have a lot of bills, live in a fairly cheap apartment studio, have no kids and i still cant justify paying the 900+ dollars a month for a new truck! 65k+ for a truck?! Where i live, thats 1/4 to 1/3 the price of a house!!!
I was the same way. I didn't like the pictures and videos on it. Saw it in person, and liked it a little better. It's kinda growing on me. Not really a GM guy, but it's a nice truck. The Sierra looks even better.
I like the look. Even though I am probably going to switch from my typical Ford and Chevy to the new ram this year, I think the Trail Boss and AT4 are the best looking trucks of 2019. Personal opinion.
I've owned nothing but Chevy Trucks going all the way back to the Z66 2wd Avalanche. I bought the 2017 RAM 1500 Night Sport a couple of years back and I must say this has been the real boss of them all! I leased it at the end of the year and got $14,000 discount off a $57,000 truck. This truck has everything a truck owner could want, including RAM BOX and adjustable Air Ride suspension, heated and ventilated seats, power sunroof, auto highbeams, 395 HP, 410 torque, etc. I do love Chevy as well but before I return to Chevy, they gotta do a better job with equipment and performance. Put the 6.2L in the Trailbox, add a sunroof, ventilated seats and keep the price under $57,000, before discounts, and I'll Be Back!!! No I don't want the High Country...
I agree with the narrator ... the '19 Silverado originally didn't sit well with me when I first saw it, but it's growing on me. Particularly the LT Trailboss - it looks great. I have a '18 Silverado LT and I personally prefer the '18 design for that trim than '19... something about the polished bumper on the new one, looks kind of funny. The Trailboss is the one I'd get...
Currently in a 2010 Tundra, and looking to replace with a new truck. I checked out a Trail Boss in black in person this week, and have to say, that visually, it's by-far, it's my favorite truck. And, the fact that their 5'6" bed has the volume of a competitors 6'6" bed is a huge plus.....I would be surprised if the other brands don't follow suit. My concern is long-term reliability, but am close to saying "give it a try". My Tundra has 260K miles on it with only a starter and water pump/radiator replacement. It still runs, and drives, nearly like day 1. So was considering the new TRD, but really like the styling of the Trail Boss (except aerodynamic air vents), much better.
Glad to hear your Tundra experience thus far, no surprise! The new trail boss is pretty cool and you’re right about that bed...really spacious and usable. Tough decisions, I like both trucks but the Chevy is nicer overall in my opinion. But then again with reliability it’s hard to say how it’ll be. The Tundra is still cruising with the same reliable bones it has been. Either way I think you’d be happy. Good luck 👍
Cool, thanks for the informative review (much-more detail than I could find elsewhere) and excellent-quality video ! I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to see if I can make a deal on a black, same as you reviewed, less the steps.
Drove by a dealer and had this LT trail boss in this (slate?) blue color, man oh man I'm definitely considering pulling the trigger on it, even if it was 56k.
Thanks Robert! I know what you mean..there’s just something about owning and driving a truck that feels great, whether you need it or not. And on the occasions you need one, you got it 👍. Thanks for watching!
Best looking truck for sure. I didn’t hate it at first but was kinda whatever. Now that it’s settled in, its sooo nice. Would definitely go for the Trailboss
I was thinking about holding out for the trailboss but ended up pulling the trigger on a 2018 Midnight edition Z71. I appreciate the newer interior style but I honestly I like the 2018 exterior body style better. No regrets! It just looks meaner
I was riding down the road and passed a Chevy dealer that had one of these sitting next to the road. It called to me. I have had Rams for the last 20 years but I really like this truck. I stopped and test drove it and I have to say that I may have a new Chevy in a few days. lol. Who would have thunk it?
Personally I really like this new design. 2011 Silverado owner and I think this will be my next truck after a few years once more are on the used market. Way too pricey brand new.
People complaining about price... how bout buy older vehicles and use them till they die. If people stop paying for all the luxury and bullshit the manufacturers are coming out with, prices will drop.
I love it and want one !! No chrome solid color 35” tires skid plates lifted 3” Goliath bumpers front and rear bed decked drawers dual turbo banks turbo change the sound system Same Old center consoles
I was so secure to buy a Tacoma TRD because I cannot afford The Ford Raptor's but after watching this review I strongly feel alike to get this Chevy beauty! what's the price listed on this model?
This was listed at MSRP: $56,865 then they had some discount on it but don’t remember that. It’s also got about $7,000 of options like the steps, Bedliner, etc. Well man I guess if you want more space, this has a lot more can space than Tacoma. This is more comfortable in my opinion but can’t go wrong with a Taco either! Gonna be towing much? Tough decisions but fun decisions 😁
Growing on me, but the pricing is going way to high now. I'll update my 2011 soon but I'm not sure if to go all the way for the 2019 or just find a good 2017 or 2018
I hear ya. I’d go for the 2017 or 18 if I was you. If you do before the 2018s are all gone, there are probably big incentives on them to get them all sold
Carlos Vale thinking the same thing. But I’m more of a fan of this new redesign. I’ll probably drive my 2011 into the ground, hopefully then this year will be more affordable on the used market.
Great job going over the details. I didn't like this truck before but this trim package has me giving it another look. I do like the front end and rounded wheel arches. Interior is way better than in a base model bu still screams cheap and cutting corners like no vanity lights for the ladies and no auto dimming rear view on the price level is just sad. Not sure what dynamic fuel management and cylinder deactivation & auto start stop mean for everyday driving but, I don't like it when technology gets in the way. I think if MPGS were a huge concern for truck buyers, they'd get a 4 banger or maybe some kind of mini van. Price levels keep climbing but depreciation, dependability and quality and most people's pay checks, not so much.
Thanks Robert! I agree with you completely. For the price, they’re definitely not giving what they could and the extra complication of the fuel management system scares me too..
I just bought one of these last night, hope she’s a good one 👍🏻. Found a black trail boss crew cab with a standard bed. That 5ft bed doesn’t work for me.
bradyrad Well the dealer ended up not being able to get it, long story.. so got my deposit back went down the road to GMC got the AT4. Just a TrailBoss version of the Sierra, slightly nicer. Window sticker was 64K 🤯. Got it for 53K after all the bonuses I qualified for plus a week of haggling lol. What a mission....
Thank you! Yeah I completely agree. I feel like if GM made more drastic style/material improvements in the interior...it would be more competitive but we’ll see!
bradyrad I’m in California got a good price on it the only problem I’ve had with it was that when you go off-roading and you up a hill you can’t see anything
I think a lot of people are feeling that way. Some trims I like better than others, that’s for sure. I think this Trail Boss looks good. Glad to hear your thoughts!
@@briansiu7443 yeh my bad. I was looking at different trucks using thier filters and looked at the wrong one. Atmost tho youll get them below 50k. Cheapest ive seen was 47k.
I tested last week because I’m in the market buying new car. What I think about it? It looks amazing, very quiet, and very refined. Unfortunately, there were a lot of things made to get out from my list. At 56$k you don’t get a lot for your money like no active cruise control, rear cross alert, and a lot of safety missing that everyone should have it in 2019 cars. One thing that made me angry that doesn’t have automatic dimming mirror in the center come on Chevy. Hyundai Elantra has it and this truck cost 57k doesn’t have navigation.
Yeah I hear ya with that. I was surprised by some of that stuff too and what trim/price has to be paid. Agreed on the dinning mirror lol...gotta move up if ya want it I guess. Thanks for the input and watching 👍

Cool, thanks for the informative review (much-more detail than I could find elsewhere) and excellent-quality video ! I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to see if I can make a deal on a black, same as you reviewed, less the steps.
Thanks Rob! Glad to hear it was helpful. Good luck to ya, you’ll love it!
Rob Peterson where are you located? I work at a Chevy dealership in Northern California if you’re close by I can get you a deal!
Drove by a dealer and had this LT trail boss in this (slate?) blue color, man oh man I'm definitely considering pulling the trigger on it, even if it was 56k.
Beautiful truck! I like it alot. Looks very well built w/plenty amenities.
Great review. Thanks for taking the time to do it. Looking forward to one day getting in one of these!
Thanks Michael! I enjoyed it! That would be awesome, it’s a sweet ride 👍
Great and honest review my brother, I can’t wait to see your review on the HD trucks when they come out.
Thank you very much! Hopefully I get a chance to do one of those, and maybe tow with it!
I used to hate this new model but after a while it started to grow on me. Especially the trail boss.
Looks good..I like the grill on the work truck..made in the USA
Hate the new style, but drove one of these at work today, they’re kind of badass
Nice video, well explained. I don't need a pickup at all. I just want to to buy a good looking truck. I'm loving this one.
Thanks Robert! I know what you mean..there’s just something about owning and driving a truck that feels great, whether you need it or not. And on the occasions you need one, you got it 👍. Thanks for watching!
I think it looks real good. The lift makes it look so different. I’d go even an inch or two higher but this Trail Boss looks like a boss....
For sure, the trail boss is definitely my favorite looking trim too
i agree, the exterior design @ first i hated it. but ive seen a few in person & i must say i would buy if i could afford.
Looks so much better in person !
Agreed!
Shes absolutely stunning
Best looking truck for sure. I didn’t hate it at first but was kinda whatever. Now that it’s settled in, its sooo nice. Would definitely go for the Trailboss
I think the Trail Boss is for sure the best looker out of all trims. I agree with it settling in, grows on me every day. Thanks for watching!
Very muscle and sporty TrailBoss! Love the truck. I plan to purchase one soon.
Very nice, enjoy it!
Being a ford fan can’t lie this looks nice
Definitely like this truck. Looks good sounds good. I would like to buy one. Keep these videos coming.
Thanks, James! This Trail Boss is a great offering from Chevy!
@@PrimeAutotainment Do a top speed video like this
This truck is amazing! Nice touch on the demonstration!
Thank you!
Chevy is my favorite truck awesome video amazing new 2019 Chevy trucks 👍
Ford is better
ford sucks balls !
Oh, it's ok little guy. Put your helmet back on.
It's growing on me. Reminds me of my old 2001 Silverado.
I was thinking about holding out for the trailboss but ended up pulling the trigger on a 2018 Midnight edition Z71. I appreciate the newer interior style but I honestly I like the 2018 exterior body style better. No regrets! It just looks meaner
Very cool! I get what you mean. Either way, you got yourself a sweet looking truck now!
Nice I got the same 2018 z71 midnight edition and I love it definitely looks meaner and nicer in my opinion too.
This is one great looking truck I've wanted the Trail Boss since I've seen it out on the lots
The gauge cluster looks dated and should be a bit nicer for the price. Looks like the early 2000's truck version as you said.
Yeah I was expecting something better...bummer
Honestly it's backwards
Last gen Z71 at least had a sporty carbon fiber look.
I was riding down the road and passed a Chevy dealer that had one of these sitting next to the road. It called to me. I have had Rams for the last 20 years but I really like this truck. I stopped and test drove it and I have to say that I may have a new Chevy in a few days. lol. Who would have thunk it?
Nice lol..seeing them in person makes all the difference. They’re nice trucks for sure.
Agreed dude I’ve been a ford guy through and through but I find myself coming back to look at the Chevy all the time !
Personally I really like this new design. 2011 Silverado owner and I think this will be my next truck after a few years once more are on the used market. Way too pricey brand new.
The Bose sound system is amazing
I love the back end.’
Wasn't a fan at first but have definitely grown on my my lease was up on my 18 Silverado and just bought a New 2020 Trail boss
Nice Looking Chevy Silverado
kjchicago1 definitely!
Just purchased the new trail boss, love the truck
Awesome, happy to hear it!
People complaining about price... how bout buy older vehicles and use them till they die. If people stop paying for all the luxury and bullshit the manufacturers are coming out with, prices will drop.
Couldn't say it any better. Quit buying these new overpriced vehicles and buy older used trucks and price will come down.
IDC THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME TRUCK!
Just a nice upgrade design, makes me want to trade my 16 Silverado in.
Haha I hear ya!
@@PrimeAutotainment by the way, nice review!
Thank you very much!
I just traded my 15 carbon ralley 2 in for this truck in metalic blue.. worth it!
I love it and want one !! No chrome solid color 35” tires skid plates lifted 3” Goliath bumpers front and rear bed decked drawers dual turbo banks turbo change the sound system
Same
Old center consoles
What I miss over my 2014 is the live radio pause and rewind feature. Otherwise I love my RST
JD award goes to you🤣
bradyrad Well the dealer ended up not being able to get it, long story.. so got my deposit back went down the road to GMC got the AT4. Just a TrailBoss version of the Sierra, slightly nicer. Window sticker was 64K 🤯. Got it for 53K after all the bonuses I qualified for plus a week of haggling lol. What a mission....
bradyrad No I’m in northeastern US.
I'm sold. Love this truck.
Great Review. GM clearly made improvements in several places. However, I would say that the Ram seems to have a nice interior design IMHO.
Thank you! Yeah I completely agree. I feel like if GM made more drastic style/material improvements in the interior...it would be more competitive but we’ll see!
As a big GM fan , i agree !
My Trailboss is in route to me! Excited to take delivery
Liked it from the first time i saw it.
Just got it today can’t wait to hit the mountains tomorrow
How are you liking it so far?
Jeff Jacobson it’s great I took some videos goes up big hills like nothing gonna add bigger tired and rims soon thoe
bradyrad what do you mean ?
bradyrad 68,000 I’m paying 800 a month I think it’s worth it I bought all the extra stuff
bradyrad I’m in California got a good price on it the only problem I’ve had with it was that when you go off-roading and you up a hill you can’t see anything
Great Review Of 2019 Chevrolet Silverado. 😄
The new look is growing on me, not too bad.
Every time I see a trail boss though, the tires look too small for the factory lift.
It’s growing in me too! Yeah good point...could probably swap out some bigger ones I guess. Too small of tires is kind of a funky look lol
I love tucks
Sorry it's trucks and me too
When I first saw the 2019 I hated it but The more I see them they seem to look better
I feel the same way!
I think it looks boss! Get it?
Awesome review! Stoked for my new truck
I didn’t realize trucks goes for a luxury car price
Yes some do, it’s a shame
Maintain their value longer..and are more usefull ..why shouldnt they
well, i think the truck looks great..i love all the features
Great review. Awesome car. Love it
Thank you!
The Trail Boss looks good. The other trims not so much. The lift makes a huge difference.
Yeah it’s kinda crazy how different some of them look. I agree!
I agree 100%. This is the only trim that I would even look at, but not until after the 6.2L is available. So for now I will take my money elsewhere.
Down fall for the trail boss can’t get the 6.2 so this is why I’m presently looking at the gmc AT4 Which can be had with the 6.2
U can get 6.2 in 2020 trailboss
Hated it at first. But everytime I see it, I like it a little more. And I agree, in person it looks much better
I think a lot of people are feeling that way. Some trims I like better than others, that’s for sure. I think this Trail Boss looks good. Glad to hear your thoughts!
They are only 38k here in Phoenix.
No way which dealership you went too?
The base 2 Wheel drive is 38k
@@briansiu7443 yeh my bad. I was looking at different trucks using thier filters and looked at the wrong one. Atmost tho youll get them below 50k. Cheapest ive seen was 47k.
Ohh I see
I WANT to love it. I WANT to be excited. But my 2011 just ends up looking better and better.
Don’t blame ya, you still got a nice one!
Can't stand 11, 18 looks a lot better
The silveraydo is the baddest truck on the planet.
you and yourself agreed
Very modern and aggressive look that all black is killing it! I'm from Nor cal so we do big wheels I would've had 2 do the 22s
Absolutely love this truck.
Silverado Front End is aggressive compare to Ram.
I agree
This shit ugly af! Just look at the rear. RIP GM
It looks badass!!!
