Honestly I can see people downing the interior, but I dont know why people dont like the EXTERIOR, IT'S STR8 FIRE TO ME! I LOVE THIS TRUCK. GOOD JOB CHEVY/GMC
The exterior design is too busy. The front is fine, but the side looks like a Ford and the rear...the rear looks weird. I think the truck before this one looks nicer overall. I also prefer the Ram Rebel in black. BUT looks are subjective.
Whoever decided it was "modern" to put stop/start systems in trucks is asinine. If you can't afford the gas, you can't afford the truck. It's a truck... not a grocery getter.
Rob C Don’t blame us that just like to drive them for these Eco features that’s the government. I’m not sure why are you complaining about the High Country having the bells and whistles, it’s suppose to be the Cowboy’s Cadillac not the basic work truck that would be the WT.
Not sure the High Country is targeted towards the farmers market. No pun intended. I'm sure there are beefed up base models to handle those jobs without the bells and whistles.
Great review. I will add this, as a 2014 Silverado LTZ owner I am not impressed with the new interior of the 2019 Silverado. To me, it looks cheap. I feel the last generation, Chevy nailed it with the interior other than not having rear vents. As of now, not to thrilled about the 2019 Silverado.
I have been a chevy guy since 1991. Currently with the 2016 Lt. I agree with the interior for 2014 thru 18 is fine other than the rear seats head rest and vents. But will disagree with the interior of the 2019. I like it. It's simple, intuitive and very truck. My buddy has a New Ram with the big screen and now we don't use his truck ever because it's too god damn nice. SMH..
Alec, so true about the interior. The interiors on both the newly designed Chevy and GMC pickups are the same as was on my 2016. Albeit, with ac vents in the rear. And I could go on about the underwhelming technology too. I moved on to a 2018 Ford F150.
Finally, a truck that doesn't look like your grandpaws. It's bold, robust, muscular, with a touch of sporty flair. Body lines are clever. Gate and rear lamps are great and better capacity. More of this please!
I love this truck. The trim level, color, everything about this truck. I’m obsessed with this truck. If I ever give up my F150 Platinum Black FX4, I’m getting this truck.
Hi Joe, Your passion and enthusiasm are contagious. I've become more of a car guy from watching your videos. I like learning about what the latest and greatest cars have to offer ( I drive an 18 year old S2000) and all the additional historical info that you add. I had no idea that the "ZR" in ZR1 stood for "Zora's Racer" and how Porsche's ignition is on the left side of the steering wheel so drivers could jump in and start the car with their left hand while they could use their right to put the car in gear. Reminds me of the Avalanche. Everything looks okay, however where are the jaw-dropping 2019 features? It's just a perfectly redesigned 2007 Silverado Classic.
Consider how much money you’re about to put for a trim as the high country, I’d be super disappointed to have an interior that can’t compete with the interior of the new Ford or Ram
Well, if you are paying for it, might as well get it. There is a reason why its called The Luxury trim. Just give it a 2nd thought before commenting somethinng like that again.
If companies are gonna charge this much for a truck, then they better put nice quality pieces inside too. GM has failed to do so. Ford and Dodge are much better at quality.
The perfect 1500 truck out there. Now the HD versions also the perfect truck in every segment of trucks. I mean Chevy nailed it with the Silverado line up, using different design on the Heavy duty models.
@Raiti's Rides Push button start? remote start? up and down tailgate? That sounds perfect especially for the older people because they can push the button to start and they can push the button on the fob to raise and lower or use the button inside the truck for that.

If I am well off and can afford several trucks I would buy this but if I could only afford one truck I wouldn't. The Silverado has been completely outclassed by the Ram
Really happy I bought a 18 High Country 6.2L not liking the next generation. Seen one on weekend and test drove it was disappointing. The interior is much the same as 18. Also the 6.2L didnt get a power bump and 10 speed absolutely did nothing for MPG another disappointment. Come on GM you can do better.
Great review as always .... it won't be sold here in Australia, but as an interested objective observer my only comment is that the side view of the front end - see 3:13 - looks a bit odd, fully agree with your Transformers description!
2 points...1. Didnt mention rear seat storage 2. Nor underseat rear storage but I enjoyed the review. Also, GM should've at least but icons on power & USB port covers, but in the High Country they should be lit just like power windows & locks are
Another great review like always, other auto reviewers on UA-cam should take a look at Raiti's channel and see how to really breakdown an auto review in depth; keep it up Raiti👍
Nice truck but 3 STEPS behind Dodge and 3 STEPS behind Ford. Too many things that drive me crazy like the grill, headliner and why not have power RUNNING boards that come down when you open the doors.
To be honest Silverado doesn't compete directly with Ram or Ford. GM chose to keep this more of a traditional truck. If more fancy options are needed the GMC model fills that void. In the recent tests GMC and Ram have been pick over Ford. Silverado generally finishes last when compared to Ram and Ford.
I own a 2018 Silverado LTZ centennial edition (100 year edition) and im glad i got it when I did just not digging the 2019 look. The only thing im down about is not having AC vents in the back, but thats about it tbh.
You gotta love the old heads trying to feel good about their “older” model. This truck looks 100x better than the outgoing model. Both look like crap imo but this looks like better crap
Raiti's Rides Nice! I have as you might know of an Eassist 5.3 liter Silverado. It uses an electric motor to restart from auto stop. It’s very quick and seems a lot better than using the starter as I assume the 2019 Silverado does? I was annoyed with it at first, but when I took it to a bigger city and frequent drive through restaurants, I’ve grown to like the auto start. Only time I don’t like it is when I’m pulling out into fast traffic and when it turns off during a quick stop. Seems like they would have given it like a 5 second wait or so before it shuts off. You can turn it off but only if your using tow haul mode for when it’s in manual shift mode. So I’ll hit tow haul mode before pulling out in traffic etc.
I totally agree when you're paying that type of money I would expect a lot more for a higher trim level That's why I went with the RST model 15 grand cheaper and options pretty much the same.
hopefully GM will give the rear seat passengers a panoramic view roof in 2020. the column shifter looks goofy in that position. it should have been high grade aluminum with a leather knob.

I can totally understand where you are coming from!
Great review as always .... it won't be sold here in Australia, but as an interested objective observer my only comment is that the side view of the front end - see 3:13 - looks a bit odd, fully agree with your Transformers description!
Thank you so much for the compliments and for taking the time to comment! I appreciate the points that you shared!
That outdated antenna blew it for me. Its 2019 for crying out loud!!!
I feel your pain Wayne!
It has HIGH DEFINITION RADIO, and you NEED a stick antenna to pick that up.
@@palerider55 not true. My Durango picks up HD radio without a stick.
Some trucks never used to have radios at all lol
2 points...1. Didnt mention rear seat storage 2. Nor underseat rear storage but I enjoyed the review. Also, GM should've at least but icons on power & USB port covers, but in the High Country they should be lit just like power windows & locks are
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
Agreee also have 2014 ltz and all about new trucks but I prefer the 2014 style interior compared to this just seems so all over the place
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
And yes take out the top glove box put nice Chevy logo there or maybe the avalanche oh shit handle 😂
I love it! lol
My cousin is here in Chicago from Tampa and he has been rubbing in the fact it was 84 yesterday and we getting snow
It has been very warm!
Beautiful truck but I love ❤️ my Ford F-150 😎🏝🌴
I can totally understand where you are coming from!
My thoughts exactly. And, I love my F150 too.
Douglas Smith 👍🏻👍🏻😎🏝🌴
Another great review like always, other auto reviewers on UA-cam should take a look at Raiti's channel and see how to really breakdown an auto review in depth; keep it up Raiti👍
That is so awesome of you to say Edgar! Thank you so much for your great support! I really appreciate it!
Great video Joe, looks great overall, but not a fan of the Silverado, 👍
Thank you so much for your awesome dedication! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
I love watching these videos!
The best looking truck in 2019
Thank for your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
Like that Chev Silverado High County, love the color and overall look...
Thank you for letting me share it with you!
Give your price please,,,
I would like to see a review on the 1794 edition Toyota Tundra 😊
I will try to get my hands on one for you!
U one of my favourite reviewer.nice vids totally unbiased
Interior can’t compete with a Lariat
I totally agree with you on that!
Or the Ram
@@motorhead9553 Yes sir!
Interior in the Ford looks too blocky and cramped.
Ford’s interior looks just as cheap.
Why doesn't have the brown leather like the other older high country's
That is a good question! Thanks for watching!
Glad GM did not put in a panoramic sunroof, I'll take the standard sunroof all day long.
Thanks Troy for sharing your thoughts!
Another great review! Hopefully these high-end trucks get rid of that antenna
Thank you sir for the compliment! I totally agree with you!
Nice truck but 3 STEPS behind Dodge and 3 STEPS behind Ford. Too many things that drive me crazy like the grill, headliner and why not have power RUNNING boards that come down when you open the doors.
Very good points! Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective!
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate that!
Power retracting running boards are available on the Silverado but I prefer the solid mounted version for long term reliability.
you can get the power option running boards on the high country.my gripe is no floor shifter and no panoramic roof
Good video, but I’m surprised you didn’t show the storage in the rear seat backs and the under seat storage in the front middle seat.
Thank you for the compliment! I have other trim level Silverados coming where I will focus on that!
How come you didn’t drive the truck man !
It's coming today sir!
Truck looks nice af
I am so glad that you liked this one!
AFM is terrible I'm not sure how much better the DFM is going to be in these 2019's
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch!
This is one beautiful truck.
That truck is hideous looking
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
I like it, you have a good eye for detail. Lot of money & would like that rear sunroof.
I really appreciate saying that! I totally agree with you! Thanks for watching!
At the end of the day its ugly af!!! Way to much going on with the front and what the hell is up with the placement of the side mirrors?
I can totally understand where you are coming from! Thanks for watching!
I like the way it looks.
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
“Zonk” this whole GM disaster of a truck redesign.
You just made my day! Thanks for watching!
Lol
That grill retro and sexy at the same time. I hate trucks but love this one
Well I am glad that I could share this one with you!
All they did was redo the exterior n the 6. 2 engine. Interior the same as the previous genreration. Wat a ripoff!
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective!
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, that 5.3 gets better gas mileage then fords turbo v6 and rams hemi. Even the 6.2 does, keep the v8s cause MERICA
I own a 2018 Silverado LTZ centennial edition (100 year edition) and im glad i got it when I did just not digging the 2019 look. The only thing im down about is not having AC vents in the back, but thats about it tbh.
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
You gotta love the old heads trying to feel good about their “older” model. This truck looks 100x better than the outgoing model. Both look like crap imo but this looks like better crap
19 Ram 1500 upper level blows this out the water interior looks way superior than this 56k dollar truck with that weak infotainment system
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
I’d like to see how the auto stop/start works exactly.
It's really annoying! I will show it in a future review!
Raiti's Rides
Nice!
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate you watching!
I like it but i dont love it
I know exactly how you feel!
I totally agree when you're paying that type of money I would expect a lot more for a higher trim level That's why I went with the RST model 15 grand cheaper and options pretty much the same.
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
I went with the 2020 RST, has all the great necessary bells and whistles for a a lot cheaper.
I like the high country.. I don't see what all the fuss is about..
I think to new design looks great on the High Country. Thanks for watching!
hopefully GM will give the rear seat passengers a panoramic view roof in 2020. the column shifter looks goofy in that position. it should have been high grade aluminum with a leather knob.
Thank you so much for sharing your input and perspective! I really appreciate it!
Ford.....still the boss. Period.
Thank you for sharing your input and perspective! I appreciate you watching!
What is the MSRP for the Truck
MSRP $56k
