PLEASE READ THIS..."SYNESTHESIA," also spelled "SYNAESTHESIA" Hey there you two. OMG it is so good to see, (and hear), you again. Man I have truly missed you both. Im gonna say it. Stevie ray vaughn is the greatest blues guitarist to ever walk this earth. Not because of technical knowledge but because every chord, note, and strum came straight from his soul. He didnt play the music he was the music.
First off... I Love Jimi Hendrix. I just want everyone to know how much I Love Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix played guitar and sang beautifully. I Really Love Jimi Hendrix. But Stevie Ray Vaughan was and is the Greatest Guitar Play/Singer of All time. Did I mention how much I Love Jimi Hendrix?
Sistah is adorable; hadn’t seen y’all in a while, but glad to see such appreciation for blues: “Ain’t Gone n Give Up on Love”- Capitol Theater, is one of his own blues masterpieces and think you’d love it
You guys cover the reaction very well. You don't interrupt the video just to hear yourselves talk. Great choice of songs to cover. I just subscribed. Looking forward to more reactions by you. Thank you
There are many styles of blues. SRV played one style of Texas electric blues. His voice was well-suited for the blues genre. John Mayer once described SRV's singing voice as "honey over gravel."
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 Indeed it was in the speech that Mayer gave inducting SRV & DT into the R&R HoF. I saw an interview Mayer did where he said that he was playing metal until a friend gave him a copy of the "Texas Flood" album, and listening to it completely changed his whole direction in music.
How awesome it is to listen to Awesomeness...In the words of Clapton..." He was the best Player on the Planet...He was like an open channel & the music just flowed out him...He never had to stop to think about what he was going to play next..." He's also bending some very heavy strings that most guitarists shy away from & SRV would bend alot of 'em at a time!
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa are my two favorite blues guitarist. Stevie Ray Vaughan was such a a phenomenal talent, great video keep them coming.
Man... Stevie's music is so good his aka should be Mr. Steal your girl. I have seen that reaction many a time and yes you were a little slow on the uptake. LOL! Seriously though I was blessed enough to see Stevie in concert and the experience was unbelievable. At the end you felt like your body was plugged in to a high voltage for 2 hours. I am a huge fan and am so happy people are rediscovering his greatness. He is truly missed but will never be forgotten.
You didn't miss out on anything, my dude! Great thing about the blues is, you can put it on later, and get right back to that old feeling, like you never went away from it.
Thanks for helping to keep Stevie’s light shining! A few songs he did write are “Life Without You” Live from the Capital Theatre, “Pride and Joy,” Live, “Lenny” from El Macombo, and Cold Shot. Another amazing Blues cover is Tin Pan Alley, with Johnny Copeland and a different version from Tokyo.❤️❤️ Donna
The two guys backing up SRV aren't slouches, either. Chris "Whipper" Layton (drums) can hold his own with any other blues band, and bassist Tommy Shannon spent his "formative years" with blues legend Johnny Winter. Not a bad resume for either one of SRV's bandmates.
I just love your reaction and the way you allow the music to snatch your soul.. Its a Beautiful thing when music can do that to you.. The passion and the movement of your body is the soul speaking without saying a word..
I was 14 when I got into stevy and about a week later he died I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when it came on the radio that he died in a helicopter accident. From one tx boy to another you will be missed brother
After hearing Stevie for the first time in 1985, I essentially stopped listening to rock because nothing hit me like SRV! I was transformed for lack of a better word and then found Buddy Guy, Robert Cray and Mason Ruffner...blues comes from the SOUL!
That was quick! i think she had her first little mini right at 2:15- then at least 3 more i detected- but man o man- i sure hope u got the full advantage of all that heat right afterwards bro. I would bet it all that she's as special and talented as Stevie!! 🥰Just sayin'
I also love SRV's Texas Flood at the Celebration of Blues. It shows a sober, confident SRV owning his place at the top of the Blues community. He definitely knew he was the GOAT in this performance.
Thanks for all you do. SRV has been a fav since the 80's. But thank you guys for introducing me to new things such as Nightwish. You might want to have a look sometime at Diana Ankudinova, especially Wicked Games or Human. Also Heilung an Experimental Folk Metal band.
I can't even imagine this guy not digging this big time... the first person on here that i seen watch stevey ray vaughn and not flp out on how great this sounds.I am just happy that the 99.9 percent see it different.
Wolf: you look like you have heard and seen this version and all others thousands of times so you know what to expect from Stevie. That grin says it all, man! LOL Sistah: your reactions are sooooo cool! You two are great.
As a guitar player SRV was a huge inspiration to me. After seeing him play a show in 89, me and my buddy was trying to find my car. When we got lucky and ran into Stevie by his tour bus. He was the nicest guy. We talked guitar techniques for about 10 minutes. BEST night ever!!
The bass player is Tommy Shannon, who played with the late-great Johnny Winter at Woodstock and on several albums before and after; Winter, another Texas bluesman who found is fame in the late 60's, had a huge influence on SRV.
It's clear that your man isn't much into the music, but he is SO into you and experiencing YOUR enjoyment in the music! That's love! Also, more blues, please! Lol
I'm not a big blues fan either, but I can listen to Stevie anytime. For me, his sound transcended standard blues. I always heard a rock/ blues fusion in Stevie's music. To me, it was never just standard blues. Maybe structurally, but his playing had so many elements of rock and even metal playing in there as well that kept it so captivating and original.
HalfLifeSistah, this can't be the first time you've listened and watched SRV this .... the first time I watched it was in the mid eighties (80's) on a VHS tape I purchased. As much as you love the Blues and Stevie Ray Vaughan... I would have thought you had already seen this absolutely amazing performance of "Texas Flood "! Stevie in my mind is the GOAT of Guitar players and there will never be another Stevie Ray Vaughan. The only Guitarist that's on the scene today that comes close is Kenny Wayne Shepperd. Kenny is still young... so he just may make it to Stevie's skill level yet! R.I.P. Stevie... we miss you but you will never be forgotten! 👍👍😎

Hey bro, i didn't want to say anything about how Stevie was affecting your lady. You know Stevie used the heaviest gauge guitar strings, hence the strong fingers. I'm sure the ladies loved that. Haha. But I digress... As a lifelong SRV fan from Stevie's hometown of Austin, it does my Texan heart good to see the effect his music is still having on new audiences everyday. RIP Stevie. I can only imagine the jam sessions up in Heaven with newest band member, Eddie Van Halen, RIP.
El Mocambo Club in downtown Toronto. Small intimate venue that drew big names like the Stones, U2. Didn't see SRV there but did see Albert King and the Great Wayne Cochrane and the CC Riders. Also Ramones, Bo Diddley, Hendrix and a bunch more played there.

I see you lol. I'm actually a big fan of theirs, but you know the drill. We have a giant backlog of Patron requests we must get to first. Now...if you happen to join and force me to do it, I won't be mad at you :-)
@@WolfKain I'd love to, but ,unfortunetly, monetary issues impede me to do so (Brazil's not exactly in a great economic moment, and I am currently unemployed). But even so, I'm happy to know you're a fan as well, and I have no problem waiting for my time to come. Eventually, it will.
you have to check out Moriah Formica if you get a chance - a great new female rocker similar to Halestorm and Envanescence...you definitely will enjoy!! Her new song is called Champion, but I Hate and Save me are a couple of my favorites

Respect to Jimmi man
You can tell Stevie felt every note.. the anguish on his face. That's real blues...
SRV is the greatest musician to ever live. Period. Genre doesn't matter.
Best guitarist to walk the earth. Blues or not. Trust me dude could play anything as good as anyone.
Correct. Best of any genre- he had magic unlike any other
There's Stevie... Then there's everyone else.
SRV was a freaking wizard! Absolutely brilliant!!!
I named my 8 month old daughter Stevi Rae after the late and great SRV! I live for half life sistahs reactions!
Exactly
Hendrix was the begging of the fire.
Srv was the fire which burnt everything down
Jimmi was the Picasso of guitar. Stevie was the Rembrandt.
hendrix was an is the greatest guitarist ever. vaughan doesnt exist without him. and hendrix was so much more than just a great blues player.
There is Jimi Hendrix and then there is everyone else. Even Stevie said there’s only one jimi. That’s said Stevie is amazing
Eric Clapton was asked who his favorite guitarist is and Eric said, “Stevie Ray Vaughn”.
His level of skill is almost unmatched.
ALMOST 😲
It is unmatched
It is unmatched dude
To be the greatest blues guitarist of all time, SRV was as humble as they come.
Stevie's version...SMOKES EVERY VERSION.

I'm jealous af. So unnecessary wjat happened to him.
Check out Tin Pan Alley Stevie ray and Johnny Copeland. A class in blues !!
I agree. Tin Pan Alley with SRV and Copeland is a must.
Yes! Again, a Blues classic, not his, but who cares? He OWNS everything he plays!

Watch Stevie play Look At Little Sister, live at Austin City Limit, and see how he deals with a broken string. “Must See”

Death individual thought patterns? Cool intro. Huge SRV fan. Enjoyed the reaction.
That middle quiet section was just for Stevie to let his fingers cool down
Best performance in guitar history. And when SRV was in the zone, like here, there's absolutely no guitarist on earth that could touch him. Fight me.

If guitar skills were graded from 1-100 SRV would have rated 10,000! Absolute maestro!
Me at 14 to my guitar teacher: Can you do that with a guitar?
He: No son, you can't.....
I suppose that one of the marks of greatness is doing things that others consider impossible.

SRV was unique. what a loss. thank you for your joyful reaction.

He plays, 85% of the time, with eyes closed. He and the guitar were one.
His "wrong" notes,
are better than any "right" note you've ever heard.

@@diego_meira I understand my friend, I am glad you enjoy our videos and I have no doubt we will be doing them one day soon :-)
you have to check out Moriah Formica if you get a chance - a great new female rocker similar to Halestorm and Envanescence...you definitely will enjoy!! Her new song is called Champion, but I Hate and Save me are a couple of my favorites
SRV!!!. el mejor de todos!. Buena reaccion y bella la morocha!!!
Who in the heck is this Goddess? No disrespect to hubby. Damn. You did it right. Sensuous.
