@@bretmartinez8212 Which is why I don't see it's better than Saving Private Ryan, Flag of Our Father/Letters from Iwo Jima, or Band of Brothers/The Pacific. I mean Taegukgi is almost "rambo" / action is a bit over the top especially at the ending scene. The younger brother bashing all the way through North Korean trench? The older brother shooting machinegun in the open? I've seen lot of lower budget Korean, Indian, Chinese and American war films too
Ehhh… They portray war a little too chaotic, like in My Way or Saving Private Ryan; a million guys dying every 5 seconds. Actual armies employ clever tactics, take objectives with few casualties and most bullets that land cause wounds instead of instant KIAs. Also, real armies rarely sacrifice their men, the most elite ones consider 5 casualties plus 1-2 fatalities a major personnel loss. The Korean War was a stalemate because the North had numbers while the South had some of the best weapons on the face of the Earth, second only to the Soviets!
I see that the director of this film made a lot of homework on band of brothers and saving private ryan very well! The camera angle and the cinematography is brilliant.

Dude, its like your actually there. They ARE better than most american movies. Here you can see how the korean war was like other than other wars.
But no and yes. just an improved "Saving Private Ryan" formula. I can see the influence there.
@@Cyan_Nightingale it's been called the korean war's Saving Private Ryan

A great film that recounts the brutality of the Korean War, as well as one of the best war films ever made.

Even in Stalingrad, 300 or Passhendale I saw more mercy than in this movie
the director of this movie is same with the director of myway
Good high chicken wing when firing the Garand.
What do you expect? Many Koreans were thrown into the front lines with only 3 hours of training.
This movie is basically one long battle scene i love it
Yeah unlike other movies where almost a portion of it is talking and drama!

They have this movie with translation?
There's a full movie of this one here in youtube that has english subtitle. You better find it and watch it now.

Wait. I saw the south Korean using a American gun like M1 Garand and M4 brownie. But usually they use rifle with one shot so? This is confused
The americans supported one side (north Korea) with supplies and weapons
