I forgot to put that in the video, but I did specify where the ledges were in the app before I started shooting. It just wouldn’t go over the 1.5” piece of wood regardless of setting. I gave up after quite a few attempts
If Roborock teamed up with Eufy to combine: the roller mop with the extending mopping pad, for mopoing edges, the dual anti-tangle brushes, and the obstacle hopping, they'd make the ultimate robot.
no thanks. Watch Just A Dad youtube video on servicing the S1 pro, it's a freaking nightmare to clean. Unless you are walking inside the house with muddy shoes the whole day nobody will trade that amount of maintenance for a better mopping.
Thank you so much for the fantastic review video! I just realized that while the device cleans its own mop pads, it doesn’t clean other surfaces that come into contact with unsanitary areas, like the wheels. This means it could still drag dirty/germy wheels over the freshly cleaned areas. 😔
The only reason why I'm getting this curv is for the hair feature. With 3 girls in the house it's a MUST feature. I've had two robo vacuums where I have to turn this over almost every time before use to remove the hairs that get tangled all over the roller.
Hello love your video! Thank you. Can I ask two questions? (1) can you run the vacuum only without the mop? (2) I noticed this vacuum is taller than my current Roborock vacuum. It looks like the Qrevo Curve is 4” tall. Do you know if that is the normal height of the vacuum or just the height when it’s lifing the mops? I fear the taller vacuum might not fit under my cabinets. Thanks again!
That’s a tough call as they’re both very good. I’d lean toward the Curv as the X50 is just around the corner so you’re getting a slightly newer robot. Performance wise, they are both top notch.
i read reviews that there is more maintenance on the eufi model. Allthough the mopping result is probably better. I would wait until roborock has this eufi mopping tech on a new model.
Hi, i have 2 questions. How many m2 does the robot mop with its onboard tank, before it needs a refil? Also do you know, if any other brands are coming up with the lift chasis, for climbing? Thanks.
You can set it to wash the mop anywhere from every 10-25 minutes. Or you can set it to wash the mop after each room. I don’t think there are any other robots currently that can lift their chassis, but have read that some other manufacturers have something in the works.
@@ansnfbsknanssshshbsnsndnd5438 specifically s1 pro's is miles better, it cleans better than a human would, check some youtube comparisons, it's insanely good.
@@ansnfbsknanssshshbsnsndnd5438 Both are a compromise in a way. The eufy mop is better because the roller gets cleaned continuously as it spins but it can't clean edges as well the way curv can by extending one of the rollers. I wonder if it would make sense to do a combination: have the roller mop for regular cleaning and then a single extendable pad to get corners. This, combined with dual rollers for anti-tangle vacuuming would be a perfect combo, if you ask me.

Just wanted to make sure. I’ve been eyeing these robovacs but been hesitant because of the hardwood. A lot of the other videos are testing on vinyl or tile. Gorgeous floor by the way!
We'll see. They hit me up repeatedly to do a sponsored video but I prefer to wait and see first. I saw it at CES last year and the base was absolutely massive. If it looks like a real contender, I'll evaluate it.
I own both. Well I did. Sent the Curv back. First off the station is very ugly and cheap looking shiny white plastic. The biggest drawback was THE CURV COULD NOT MOP CORNERS. The pads are too wide to fit in the corner, but the small mopping pad on my S8 maxv ultra fit right in there and got every crevice.
@@vacuumnerds ordered the unit from Target, all the deals on other models but this model. the edge model is the same robot but my wife like the look of the curve more. cost me $300 more just for the aesthetics :(
You need to tell the vacuum where the ledge is so that it performs its trick. I think you didn’t do that here.
I forgot to put that in the video, but I did specify where the ledges were in the app before I started shooting. It just wouldn’t go over the 1.5” piece of wood regardless of setting. I gave up after quite a few attempts
@ ah ok, anyway I still have to meet people with ledges that high 😅
bought it (5 weeks ago)and love it - it does great job , thumbs up

They are definitely competitors!

Imagine if had the eufy mop and the Dyson 360 vis vacuum roller with the Roborock Curv Tech.. might reach perfection.
Great channel! Very detailed!
Much appreciated!

This is true, however if you want to mop 'perfectly' the only way with the current state of technology, is to do it by hand.
Can’t wait to get mine Wednesday!
I hope you like it. I've been testing mine for the last few weeks and it's been good so far.
@ coming from a i7+ and I heard roborock is where it’s at, along with this model is the model to jump on

Hope it works. Let us know how it goes.

1) Yes
2) It is slightly over 4" tall in its lowest position.
How does it compare to the x40 ultra?
Sounds like a good comparison to do!
@vacuumnerds they're both $1500 for black Friday in Canada. Which would you choose?
That’s a tough call as they’re both very good. I’d lean toward the Curv as the X50 is just around the corner so you’re getting a slightly newer robot. Performance wise, they are both top notch.
Do you like this or the Eufy S1 pro if you had mainly hardwood floors for the most part, all things considered? maintenance, app, mopping etc
I haven’t had the Curv long enough yet to properly compare. So far I like it

Why do they not adopt the eufy s1 pro mopping technology, dammit.
I’d imagine eufy has patents. Also, dual spinning pads is pretty effective. The rate of robot development right now is pretty cool if you ask me.
Is eufy mop better?

What type of floor is that? Hardwood? Are you scared of scratches with these robovacs?
It's hardwood. So far it seems totally fine. I've tested countless vacuums on this floor.

tried buying this model and its out of stock
I saw that. I think it's a pretty popular model. Usually Amazon gets stock within a week or two.
