aw this inspired me to put more effort into my mornings, I've also been having a hard time waking up early lately. recently I picked up journaling again and noticed how it makes me feel more grounded and present, will definitely start working on a THAT GIRL routine toooo!
I think the most important thing about your morning routine is making it purposeful. These videos are a great reminder to slow down your life and enjoy the small things, you don't have to have an aesthetic apartment to make every day intentional!
I loved the video, so calm and informative. I'm a fellow Software Engineer and back in 2020 I was feeling really unmotivated and disconnected from my career. Luckily last year I found you and another SE UA-camrs and you helped me to reconnect through making my work life more cozy to fit my personality.
First thing you need to realize to have a morning routine is that it's supposed to fit YOU and your needs and your schedules. Stressing yourself and messing up your work day when waking up too early, seeing it does you no good, when you work till late, won't keep you on track. I'm not saying don't demand nothing from yourself-there's always a room for improvement, but cooperate and work around, instead of forcing senselessly. And most of all-suit YOURSELF. ♥️ I'm this kind of person that if my morning routine takes too long, I'll just get anxious and distracted and not productive at all. Also: sometimes I need to sleep till 8:55a.m., get up and take the laptop straight and start calling right away, when I'm yet halfway awake, and grab my coffee sooner or later and eat when I'm actually hungry, even if it's 3p.m. I call it personal IF. 😉 And sometimes I'll wake up at 5a.m. put my best clothes, take 30 mins shower and hit the office with ridiculously early breakfast right after showering.-guess what-they both work well.

Awww this was everything. I love the real and raw mixed with explanation. I’ve been doing the project 50 challenge and just this morning I said I don’t want to do all of this. My lifestyle is different so I’m taking pieces. Happy Monday!.
I use the same sunscreen. Loved this video - I really want to journal more but it seems like I only write when I am anxious instead of developing a practice.
The editing on this one was beautiful!! I loved how realistic and calming your portrayal of ~that girl~ was - it absolutely should be about balance and intuition

Hi Marsela, love your vlogs :) just curious, would you consider your job to be high-stress, low-stress or somewhere in between? Your work days in your videos often seem pretty chill, but maybe it just seems that way? In my SE job I always have so many tasks, deadlines, meetings to clear up things with my colleagues, which can all be very draining, so it's hard for me to do something relaxing in the morning because I feel like I should get to work and get all my tasks done asap. If I started work at 10AM, I would have to stay until 7PM, which is too late for my liking. :/
Hi Carmen!! Thank you for watching 🤍 I'd say my job is pretty low-stress, and I'm thankful for that. We have busy periods (ours is primarily busy during Q4 so we're just coming off of a super busy time), but it's primarily low stress. That's due to a lot of factors -- the company, the team within the company, the expectations you set out with your manager. I'd say if you find yourself constantly drained (and you don't enjoy it), step back and evaluate why that is and where the pressure is coming from -- and don't be afraid to talk to your manager about it too! But in terms of doing a morning routine during busy periods -- I think it is especially critical in those times. Because all a morning routine is is alone time in the morning, prioritizing the things that make you happy. And you really need that if you're being drained at work. Regarding time: 10 am start time works great for my schedule and how my team operates! _But that doesn't mean you also need to start work at 10 am in order to do this routine._ Just wake up 10 minutes earlier than you currently wake up. Do one nice thing for yourself (stretching, reading, making breakfast, dance party!, literally whatever you like doing). And just having that 10 minutes will put you in a more relaxed mood for the busy day -- rather than feeling rushed after waking up and jumping directly into work.
