12 in game rests is the amount youre given, if you do all beacons and activate the gigantus the mist will no longer move, however, if you used your rests youll run out of chances to rest and to save.
Time does not pass by just being active, the passive passage of time is frozen, however, if you dont exhaust your rests you can save manually all you want, i spent around 15+ hours just farming endgame materials for upgrades and never had the mist even move, if i had to heal i either used an allheal elixir or died and used a wakestone.
I only rested when my main pawn was low on max health (less than 30%) and for the additional pawns I just dissmiss and summon more.
In my time on the unmoored world I rested only 8 times, but manually saved hundreds of times, i had time to level from 46 to 67, get 4 vocations to max (all mix vocations), and to finish farming most of the wyrmcrystals i was missing, the only reason I finished and went into ng+ is because I collected every exclusive unmoored world chest item (That I knew of), I used 7 allheal elixirs and 10 wakestones.
My recomendation is do all evacuations and before resting at all and then enjoy :D

Please understand the lack of explanations or information but its really tiring that youtube just keeps deleting the text walls I write to try and convey everything correctly, only the ones with descriptions are better than the dragonforged store items from my experimenting and research
So even if the mist does not move anymore, you cannot rest more than 12 times total after triggering the end game? I guess the mystic spear would be the best if you don't plan to rest. You have full team invincible with 100% up time. Just go 2 sorc and 1 thief or warrior to stun the enemy I think
Hey Vankrul, i have already 230 wyrmcristals, is this enough crystals to have before triggering the endings? Also, how often u get ferrystones in the unmoored worlds? And you recommend dealing first with the beacons or evacuating first the towns?
@@Tollgrinder282 You get a mass of wyrm crystals for doing the beacons. You're gonna need more than that to get everything for just one vocation.
I did the beacons first to stop any progression, and now am doing the evacuations only rested once so far.
@@Tollgrinder282 If you just want a single set you'll be fine, if my memory doesnt fail me a full set + weapon is 230 wyrmcrystals (20/70/30+110) with the exception of the shield for fighter which is an extra 40.
You get a lot of crystals from clearing the beacons, if I'm not mistaken a total of 400 to 500 (might be less might be more).
I always did the evacuation first then the beacon of the area, I didn't do it in any specific order though, bakbatthal evacuation + beacon, volcanic camp evac + gigantus, excavation site evac, elves evac + weapon, vermund evac + beacon.
In that order, but don't feel to stressed about the WyrmCrystals, the total for all sets and weapons is nearing 2000, but you can get them on Ng+ with the dragonforged without any pressure.
The only reason to really go into unmoored is to get the exclusive secret armor pieces which are in chests in previously flooded/lake areas, for example the "Agamenian Galea" for warriors.
So you might want to go do the evacs and beacons, then search those locations, after all that you can leisurely farm and explore to your heart's desire and finish the unmoored world on the last beacon unlocked in seabed shrine

@@KKKuma If you farm allheal elixirs and wakestones you don't really need to be afraid of losing health, problem is losing the ability to save, as even closing the game would mean you lose progress

I throw oxcart drivers into the brine because I am sick of them telling me they are not working right now. Oh really!??! Seeya! I mean if he has the cart there with the horse attached I don't care what time it is he can get off his arse and take me where I need to go. Or take the horse off the cart and let it go into a stall so it can feed and rest ffs.

@@doubledown1471 i'm afraid i actually don't know, i beat him a little after he left the sea so he was REALLY far, and i didn't think i had the stamina or time to get there and check, i'm on my second playthough so if i manage to do it again i'll check this time
I forgot to check it myself too. I'm still in the unmoored world so I'll check next weekend and pin you to let you know. But I think you can still get them. I mean I got the Talos spikes in the unmoored world since I killed almost all of them in the water still.
Oh, didn't even know that is why that happened... Magic archer shredded Talos super fast
I didn't bring Disa to Sven. Instead I brought him the Orante box you helped him get for her, then he found a note inside of it from Disa and in there she explained she did everything to keep Sven safe and they are happy and leave together.
Just an fyi for anyone doing this. You don’t have to crawl all the way to the dragons heart, you can be on his back still and use godsbane. Just need to be far enough forward (about where the heart would be)
A couple things. The clouds don't actually move in at all, the only thing that's timed is clearing the red beam bosses before the towns get destroyed and there's a 10 days limit for resting. After 10 days the game won't let you use an inn or a bed anymore. But the game doesn't end when you get there, you basically have infinite time on the last day you just can't rest to get health back. Also, if you choose to kill Disa first the ox cart guy just says ok sure no problem, Sven gets mad at you but it doesn't change anything. Before you actually finish I recommend exploring around the shoreline roads, you can get a crap load of ferrystones very easily for ng+.
I just picked up Disa and took her to Sven and that was it

Save all of your all heal elixirs for this time. Only healing item to fill your health back up, so you don't have to sleep.

@gryu switching vocation does not heal your lost HP gauge at all I just tried it. It heals pawn only
Can all heal elixirs be farmed or are they finite? How do you get them?
I didn’t do any of the elves quest on my first playthrough but you can still evacuate them. If you go up to the leader he will say something along the lines of not leaving and staying in the arbor. But if you keep talking to him after like the 5th time he will cave in and decide to evacuate. You just have to annoy him a bit. 😂
Maybe u got lucky I spoke him 10 + times and nothing had to last quest for elves to get it to proc
@@w4yne3d61 that’s odd. I literally didn’t do a single one. The only thing I can think of that I did was give the smith flowers 3 days in the row to get the woodland tome for my pawn.
This guide helped me so much man! Exactly what I needed as I’ve just entered the unmoored world!
FYI, people are just now getting to explore this world and it’s actually endgame progression, not just a fluff ending. There’s dedicated bosses all over the waterbeds that drop unique items higher tier than the dragon forged sells. DO NOT rush this area! Go explore and it’s like a whole new world to do.
I’m trying to find the full warrior set and so far only found a chest piece that is excellent for resistances.
Good luck, I just found the nice warrior helmet in a pit cave between checkpoint town and guerco cave.
There aren't full sets. There are one or two pieces of armor and no weapons. The dragon forged weapons are the best weapons in game when fully upgraded. For Tricksters there's a helm, for magic archer there's a chest piece. Warrior and fighter and the only vocations with multiple pieces. But it's not a full set.
Especially the bodies of water! Well the lack of them! 😂
@@2ELI7E I spent last night exploring each waterbed and think I exhausted what could be found. I think you’re right that there’s no weapons and for armor it was an odd mix that made no sense tbh. Like some items were on boss monsters and some just chilling in a chest. Also extremely odd choice to put a mage staff as a seeker reward, which would push players to keep a mage pawn. Haven’t been able to compare stats to the dragon forged staff yet so it might be trash anyway.
There are at least 3 full sets of armor
Evacuation site was the last one i did and it worked out fine as each red spot pushes the mist back anyway.
You can also save the pawns by hiring them and leading them to the rift stone.
Bruh, when you had no idea what to do once you climbed towards the dragons chest when you first started riding him. I legit climbed on his stomach, and I’m like “that’s interesting, we’re both glowing”, I didn’t know what to do. And then in the end credits, you talk to the ghost guy, and he’ll restart the fight, I fought the dragon three times. Each time I was looking for something different, now I’m on new game +. 😂
This is actually one of my favorite finds in video games for me to think i was done with dragons dogma 2 basically and was about to go onto ng+ but the guy at tht end asked me if i wanted to do anything different and i replayed the ending like 4 times and landed here instead of ng+ pretty awesome suprise theres more than just reset and power fantasy through.

I can finally watch this video after taking the plunge to progress the story. I was having fun making sure to do every quest i found, taking escort trips with my buddies that I'm doing this at lvl 67. It's nice too because since I've buddied up with everyone my quest have been "you should evacuate" with the leaders "ok I trust you".
Though I'm still seriously debating on killing Phaesus for pulling his stunt and consider his arrogance a danger to the people.

As for disa, if you bought Sven the ornate box a way back when you first got to vernworth, said box will be in disas room, loot it and deliver it to Sven who will then walk to his mother and talk some sense into her
You can also just grab her and bring her to his room
I did neither of those things and he still walked to his mom when I got back from the ox merchants

i didint have to do this at all, i just listened ro her maid, talked to her then went to talk to the cart guy. when i came back he was talking to her.

Its kinda weird that the title screen says Dragons Dogma 2 in unmoored world but only dragons dogma in normal game.

With Sven you can hand him the Orcale Box and he’ll go speak to his Mum.

Great guide, but I have a really important question, should we get our portcrystals and pick them up everywhere before moving onto NG+ or will they go into your pack even if they’re not already picked up?

I defeated the outer red beacons first and did all the evacuations at the same time. After everything was done I did the one in Bakbattahl last. It seemed to have stopped the red mist from shrinking in everything. I also didn’t need to rest (second playthrough) so I was able to do more stuff in the unmoored world then.
Just a heads up. Do vernsworth boss first. Do sacred arbor second. Go to gigantus get the cutscenes. Congratulations you are no longer on the time period;)
Can you clarify this? Do you mean you can now take your time with other towns that need saving/helping?
I think you need to have stopped Talos early (there's an achievement for that) for him to kill _two_ of the dragons.
If you are a sorc the red beacon bosses get melted by maelstrom. For the couple escort you can ferrystone if you have a beacon there.
Yeah that spell is stupidly strong.
If you like me didn't go through the endgame in the first playtrough, you can buy best equipment at the dragon forge guy, before going to endgame now.
The only thing I wasn’t able to do was the Ailing Arborhart quest, I missed the quest with the sister elve. Outside of that I did everything before resting once so now I have 11 more rest to explore around and collect things

What about Melve if I missed Ulrika romance quest line which I think leads to Melve moving to Harve? I’m assuming they’re screwed now.
i think only on boss mob is given in the unmoored, the white lich. The rest are found in the normal world. Also the skelly lord are in set spots in the unmoored (never saw one in the reg world). Edit: not saying the lords are not in the regular world, just never saw one, but thanks.
some points:
If Allard was dealt with before the unmoored, you don't need to scare him, as he is dead/gone.
For Talos, you need to restart Talos if you did not get "The Hero" achievement.
The skeleton lords show up in several locations (Like graveyards) but you gotta go at night, also some dungeons. Forager pawns show you the locations on the map.
Skeleton Lords (Fell Lords) do appear in the regular game. I know there's one in "Tomb of Ja'Nuwa", southwest of Balbattahl, to the right of the roadnear where the road splits, leading to Dragonsbreath Tower or Drabnir's Grotto.
The Fell Lord drops a nice mask/crown for Sorcerers, and you can find the "Ring of Recitation" behind a breakable wall. This ring is great, reduces cast time for spells by 25%, but reduces your health quiet a bit. While wearing it, I go from 1666 health to 1323, which is a difference of about 300-ish.
In vermund, you don't have to grab Disa. You can show Sven the ornate box from her room and he will come and talk with her. But I like the way you think.

Yea you can save at the seaside shrine anytime. Just go there pause menu and save game. Sorry for late reply just saw your comment.
What I want to know is how many ferrystones would it take to speed run this part of the story line? Just in context, I went through the other 2 endings already, my pawn and my character is already lvl 80. Everything is lvled up max and this is my last ending, all I want to do is get to the point I can freely explore for the exclusive armors.
Use all your paritialble items in your storage by combining them or else they'll become rotten when you go into endgame.
I forgot about that one step. Forgot to just sell all my fruit at the vendors for quick gold, too. Dammit.
Question. what happens if you you nothing but rest and the fog progresses? is there just a too bad game over or does it just forces the final confrontation?
Never tried to find out but my assumption is it restarts you at the beginning or your last inn save like it does when you die and don't use a wakestone.
So, only question I have that I haven’t seen asked/answered anywhere is do your placed port crystals stay where you put them when you enter the endgame? And even better what happens to them when you enter new game+?
Yes for the endgame question. I just entered the unmoored world and all my placed port crystals are still there. As for NG+ I have not reached that far yet.
When you go into NG+ all your Portcrystals will be put into your storage box and have to be replaced. In the Endgame all placed Portcrystals will stay where you put them.
You can also pick up the dwarf and use a ferrystone back to the volcanic island camp (obviously you should have a portcrystal there)
you don't have to pick him up, just use a ferrystone, both will travel with you
I really don’t like that this area is a timed zone really annoying since it’s the only challenges at that point in the game until you go back to one tapping some goblins or killing ogres and griffins in 30 seconds or less
Someone explained that it's based on how many rests you take. Not on a timer per say, but yeah it still sucks that you have to keep that in mind.
@@Jsobonefrom what I’ve gathered from other comments, if you take out the vernsworth boss, the elvish city one then Talos the red mist stops moving in and then the rests are your only limit. So save all heals for healing and don’t use all 12(I think) rests and you can stay in there indefinitely. I haven’t tried I accidentally went right through the last boss battle without watching the last 60 seconds of this video but gonna speed run main quest to get back there lol
@@matrixkrypt4205 sounds correct, I did almost everything before resting the first time. Which is necessary for the people to show up in the shrine area. Then I maxed out some gear and spent money on other stuff before jumping into NG+.

Well i was following your guide, and got to excavation site, killed the golem. The guard wont give me a quest to free people. Did you miss a step in your guide? Do i need to go to the seafloor shrine first?
Does someone knows if you can manually save in the unmoored world? I mean what about i have to go to work or going to bed, the manual save works here?
You can rest at your home or an inn 12 times. Yes, you can manually save. However... once you run out of those 12 inn rests, you can no longer manually save. It's do or die at that point.
By the sounds of it, as long as you still have seats available, you can still manually save.
Do the portstones auto return to your storage, or do you have to pick them up to bring them to NG+?

EVERYTHING excluding certain quest items like the border pass is sent straight to the inventory

With the Vernworth oxcarts if you've taken the money from the vault before going to the unmoored world Disa will not have had the money to buy the oxcarts. Pretty neat detail.
Luckily I put pork crystals in almost every major settlement except unseen village(I had it but took it off in normal world🙄) and checkpoint so all I have to do is those on foot lol.
Curious what happens if you killed the talos statue with medusa head does it still trigger a cutscene?
So once you defeat all the red beacons and get the one to appear at sea floor shrine, you are good and free to explore as much as you want?

I don’t have it either but I think it’s done by how quickly you kill Talos. If he has both arms when he dies there would be one less red beams to do as he has a cutscene where he defeats 2 of the red beam bosses.
@@levimarks6445 ohhhh so it's cause i killed him too quickly? he still had both arms for me, i killed him as soon as he touched the beach cause w MA i took out all the pegs and then got his eye on the beach w thief knives cause i used warfarer

elves didnt ask me to take arborheart tree cutting, i just talked to the father a second time and they evacuated and the quest completed
That seems to happen if you maxed his affinity toward you earlier on.
don't know if I did something wrong but there was no beacon showing up for me at the volcano camp so I only had to deal with one dragon.

Fun fact, you can just bring sven the box from disas room, if you did that quest, and you can also just stand and get punched by the guys in bakbahttal until they give up.
Phaesus died & I didn’t have a wakestone to revive him so i bought a wakestone to do it and now i cant find his body in the morgue to revive him anyone know where to find his body ?
The dragon my pawn fights is both the flying dragon and the serpent idk if if it’s because the one beacon didn’t appear when I was goin to get the couple

You start off immediately with "Phaesus will escort you to the statue" but my first quest is to lead the evacuation pheasus is not on the steps how do you get him to escort you.

To get the really true ending right? Because I saw some playthrough that doesn't get that true ending. Man, I cried during that moment. Best pawn ever.

1. Talk with your pawn, each time +2, has cooldown of like 10minutes.
2. Highfive with your pawn, each time +5, has cooldown of like 10minutes.
3. Go to the hot spring, each time +10, has cooldown of like 10minutes.
4. Go to the barber , each time +50, has cooldown of like 10minutes.
5. Btw, upon main pawn death favorability will -25 each time
Max Affinity is 620. Also there dialogue will start to change a little, and they will blush sometimes. If you have to kill them because Dragon Aids make sure you take them to the Hot Springs.

So for the problem with the oxcarts with allard I just punched home and he ran away. Then the guy was like cool I hated that guy anyways the oxcarts are yours lol.
How do you get to talk to all the leaders, and the do the quest with Talos after evacuating all the towns? I cannot seem to find the leaders and I do not have a quest marker
Nadinia(Bakbattahl) near Ox cart,
Sven(Vernworth) in his room and Taliesin(Sacred Arbor) I believe in that middle area between Inn and smith.

After you evacuate towns you have to kill dragons at the red beacons to trigger next mission.
@@Khtras if you did all red beams and killed the dragons and you completed all evacuations you must rest one day so all leaders come to seaside shrine.
I Evacuated all the areas except the excavation site. And I just rested for the first time so people would set up shops... am I screwed?
Guys can someone help me out and let me know if continuing to ng+, resets the dwarven smiths? Meaning you’d have to do the quest lines again before being able to enhance with dwarven

Where do you put port crystals to make fast traveling easier??
I decided to just do a NG+ run so I can get all the armors I want upgraded and then choose warfarer and make my strider that was stripped from this game. Is the dragonforged only in the unmoored lands?
You meet the dragonforged before post-game as part of the main story. He wont sell you the post-game gear tho. But you can still dragonforge your gear at him.
You unlock everything in dragonforged shop after first completion. I have everything unlocked and just learned about unmoored lands, which I plan on doing at the end of my NG+ playthrough

@Eishern Yup if you talk to the Dragonforge guy between Harve and Bakbatahl in NG+ he'll have an updated inventory with everything.
You can talk to him whenever as well, everything will be unlocked no matter where you're at in the NG+ story

where do you get more ferrystones tho i dont have many
In unmoored they drop regularly from enemies. In regular world most every item shop sells one ferrystone for 10k gold and restocks every in game day.
I just need a walkthrough guide to get all the items in the unmoored world. I dont want to go in there and miss a ton of stuff or run out of time
