@@Scottiesabeastnah, he just doesn't look at them before giving you the maister skill, lol. I imagine how you can hear him scream all the way to volcano island later that day.
I thought that combining the real books will actually help the guy since it casts the mage maister spell but nope, doesnt matter if you gave the grimoires separated or combined, it still turns them to dust.
The ornate box quest can still be done after if you miss it. I had to go up to his room in the castle and drag him down to shop and the original cut scene played out. Bought the box, then spoke to him and rested the 3 days getting all of the rewards in between each rest.
This works for tons of quests. Like if you need someone to leave to start the magic quests you can pick up the grand parents and take them up the hill and talk to the girl and she will start the quest. Also if a shop keep leaves their stand you can scoop them up and take them back and talk to them and you'll get the shop open again
@hydrationrequirement9762 I didn't have to. I just rested at the bench near the inn, and he was sitting at the fountain each of the days with new dialogue and gifts.
The shopkeeper who wants the book to "help his family", that you can give Hugo his job, has an alternate way to complete the quest. When he goes all obsessive on you, asking for the other volume of the book, he suggests looking for it at the border checkpoint. If you want the alternate ending, buy the book, make a copy at the same shop, and give him the copy instead. After the quest, his volume of the book will be for sale at his shop, and you can combine it yourself. Also, I didn't try this, because I just now got the idea. But there is a guard in the day time, in the front area of the palace of Vermund (by the front doors), who will offer you a sword that has been on display in the palace from a previous arisen. He's scared that it will be destroyed, so he gives it to you, but it's rusted and old. If you take it to the apprentice blacksmith you meet in Bahtbital (or however ya spell it) you can start a quest to fix it. Do all that and you not only complete the quest, but you now have a new place to upgrade in the fourth style without having to go to the volcanic island every time. But... That sword sells for a mighty fine price... what if you gave the guard a copy instead of the real restored sword? Like I said, didn't try it yet. But hey, it's a thought.
Yeah, about that sell price.. If you talk to the guard who has supposedly been guarding it for years he mumbles about how valuable it must be >.>; Still, doesn't seem to have a follow-up sadly.
tip, you can tell Hugo what breft said, but if you instantly go to the bandit leader, you can save hugo AND dont need to pay to have him exit prison. thats what i did, cause i thought that was the quuest path.
@@setsuna5919 I told hugo, oxcarted to rest town and the ran/jogged to Lorenzo, after killing him Hugo showed up there, being all "damn I can't even take my revenge now"
Dont buy swords for the dragon quest. Theres an even earlier quest where you help a guy in Melve save his brother. If you do it, they will distract the guards to a building that has 4 swords in it for the quest. Also, the questline with the slum girl Daphne, if you give both curatives asked for and any cyclops drop, you won't have to go save the boy. He returns unharmed. It's unlikely, but while writing this comment, it made me wonder if having various monster parts will act as a deterrant while using oxcarts. Testing will be needed. I won't be the one to do testing because I need that XP.
With Isaac, you can use the transference page thingy and make a forgery in checkpoint rest and give him that instead. Then he performs the ritual, but it fails and he accepts that he should just live with his family as-is, leaving both him and the wife and daughter happy.
I believe doing it this way also rewards you with a special spell once you combine the two real books. So it's easily the best outcome, as you keep the Apothecary in Bakbattahl intact and do not need to find a replacement like Hugo, Isaac & his family continue their happy life, and you get a new spell upon combining the two real grimoires.
@@ryanof3004 I think you just do it from your inventory, yeah. Haven't completed this quest myself just yet so I can't confirm it 100% myself, been wandering around just exploring in general and hunting down Drakes to earn the Pawn Badge for my Pawn (I'm trying to earn the more "rare" Badges for her so that she's a more appealing/attractive hire, as she already has a seemingly rare Pawn Badge with the Medusa badge).
you actually don't have to buy the 4 swords in Ulrika's quest, if you do the quest involving saving one of the brothers they'll also act as decoys to repay you and you can raid the armory in the town to get the swords for free as that method costs the player no gold.
The coronation does not block out Ulrika or Wilhelmina's romance quests. I picked up both of them well into the late game and was able to complete both. It's likely that it only cancels them if you picked them up before going to the coronation. So you can just pick them up after and finish them as normal.
The Hugo quest - there is a second time where you can offer him a way out and it’s after you tell him about his parents. You need to have completed the assassination quest first so all coral snakes are in the cells before telling him. You will get the location of Lanzo. Go unalive lanzo and Hugo will show up a little sad he didn’t get to kill lanzo. At this point you can give him job offers if you got the bad ending for Ibrahim or did Wilhelmina
Yea this is how it played out for me. Hugo escaped prison on his own, murdered the Coral Snake guy that snitched, and went looking for Lanzo. I haven’t done other side quest to suggest a job for Hugo though so he stormed off and said I was toying with him lol
@@bigguccisosa9908 and if you never do Wilhelmina’s as it’s very missable and do the good ending for ibrahim there is nothing to offer. You find out later from a guard he killed himself.
Well since no one else said it. I guess I will. The dragon in Melve can be killed if you don't engage with directly, go to the right at the top of the building and use the wind slicer to fire large projectiles at the dragon. Nice amount of gold and experience, but most importantly a very powerful weapon for your brand new mystic spear hand vocation. It is rather difficult to win on the first try. So just make sure you reload your last save when the dragon starts to fly away.
I came pretty close to killing the dragon, so figured it was a possibility. The real question is what happens to Ulirka if you do this? Does she still get booted out and run to Harve or does this play out completely differently? Also what's the weapon you get for killing the dragon?
@@dontwannabeahero1570 Lol. Yes of course, one of those fake dragons that we have all heard so much about. Probably just a bunch of cats taped together and painted red.
I just mauled it with flare and tornado. Fight didn't last more than 30 seconds. Ulrica was later accused of filling a false claim of killing a Dragon.
If you need to leak information to coral snakes for Manella's quest and already freed the prisoners by Hugo's cell then you can go find Ashe in Heaven's Tavern besides the second inn in Bathal
I had to look up how to do the final bit of the Saint of the Slums quest, cause I walked the whole town and not a single guard gave a shit about me lol
Yeah that last part took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out I reread the quest details and it said "apprehend elena and signal the guards" and I was like....what if I just tackle the bitch? And it worked 😅
When Hugo is put in prison you can skip everything by just opening his cell and carrying him outside, he’ll thank you and wonder off. Later on I ran into him in Battal and convinced him to change his ways and he now works at the brothel in venworth
Im happy to see that i actually found all these quests and conpleted them on my own through exploring. Also the apothocarry in bhatall can get a better ending if you give him a forgery of the book the book he wants.
On the saint of the slums quest i got to exploring the basement room and ran in there the lady spotted me so i was like ok ill leave i accidentally takled her and finished the quest right there got the 11000 gold and bam quest done i was like what happened. 😂😂😂😂
If you didnt do ornate box and need to find out how to get two npcs to talk to one another in the end game, you can literally pick one of them up and carry them to the other to start the dialogue. Also, if you use the sealing jar to carry someone to a mission location, you dont have to break it and they will automatically start the cut scene. Only tested in destinations with yellow circle quest marker on map.
Slums holy mother quest actually has another step - talk to the friendly nun after the arrest. Then go to check point town and enlist the doctor there. Come back to the slums - the beastren dude actually lives. If you do not do this, he will die.
You missed something on the whilelmina quest. I searched the town to find information from the merchants and found an bribery notice and I also talked to brants about the murder report. Brant tells you that he cant help you if you commit murder, and if you give the bribery notice you can assist her in the assasination, where you learn her secret (pretty rad), then brant helps escort you out of town as quickly so the guards dont catch you. Its a quest that rewarded me very heavily for going off the beaten path and and taking a serious look at the dialogue.a
I am a massive putter off of main quests, so i found a few of these myself, Hugo’s quest was a pain though as i didn’t know you hade to wait a day for affinity gifts so i couldn’t do “every rose has its thorns”
For the masquerade/staff, you can slip out the back without having to drop it. After you've gotten away, there's a guard that was in charge of watching the staff in fornt of the masquerade building. I think a timer starts after you talk to him about it. I did a number of things before finding out and after talking to him I wanted to make a forgery. By the time I got back another guard said he was gone..
After hearing some people say you can trigger Brefft's appearance by doing Oskar's quest "Tolled to rest" where you escort him to the Cenotaph in the Ancient Battleground, I gave it a try and this does seem to work. The next time I was in Bakbattahl, Benjamin came up to me when I went through the center of town to inform me Brefft is in the gaol. So it seems like you do Hugo's quest without having to finish up the assassination quest, just that it may affect which cell Brefft is placed in. Going back to "Tolled to rest", something people should know is to NOT touch the "Nation's Death Knell" in the Cenotaph during Oskar's escort, it'll just cause the quest to get drawn out longer than necessary.
I feel like the saint of the slums quest was a missed oppertunity to do a vampire quest. Would of been a cool idea of that nune suddenly turning vampiric and attacking you. Make it a intorduction to a different human style enemy that only comes out at night in certain areas including rarely in towns to feed.
- Sven will do the ornate box regardless if you turn him in or not. He will give you gifts if you gift it to him or money if you loan him money. Funny thing if you buy the box and give him money he will still be able to buy the box. - WIlhelmina will offer you the every rose quest regardless if you romance her or not, and it can be done after coronation so no rush. There are actually two pieces of evidence you can give to her. The second is in the house next door to the barber shop. -For the phantom ox cart, do not equip anything during random goblin fight or you will fail. If you do fail it, just return the next night, hug the wall and follow the cart from behind. Screen will go black after you follow it for a couple of minutes and you'll end up at the border. My pawns beat up the border guards for some reason and the quest updated to magic sealed door (to which I had to run to).. so I'm guessing you don't have to let them knock you out?
That's cool, I never knew about the noble exchange staff quest. Nice find. I did return to the masquerade hall in courtly clothes (exploring and looking for the exquisite glasses), but I hate wearing the mask, so the quest didn't trigger, lol. Btw, I think the Gregor quest (Till Death do us Part) where he's gone to fight the dullahan is pretty difficult to find as well. You have to talk to a guy in Vurmund by a foundation, and then speak to Gergor's wife in the noble district, and the quest triggers, and if I'm not mistaken it's timed as well (I think). Alternatively, am not sure if you can randomly stumble upon the dullahan fight in the Misty Marshes area and it triggers.
I had no idea about Wilhemina's romance quest, in fact she was the one who told me about the Phantom Ox Cart, not some random Ox cart guy like they mentioned in the video. I also had no idea how to get Hugo on the straight and narrow, so I am excited to be able to do that in my second playthrough. Happy I bumped into a lot of these on my own blind first run though.
Hey RageGaming/All. I don't recall seeing this on any of your other videos regarding this, but I feel like it's important enough to post so you can hopefully mention it: So I just had Dragonsplague happen to me despite the pawns I summoned (in my opinion) giving no signs and acting no different. Happened in Harve, 38 dead. So in terms of how to reverse this, REPEATEDLY I might add (as in there is a way to get the item that reverses it more than once without cheating), read below, spoiler for Sphynx quest: Spoiler for Sphynx quest: So the last reward for the Sphynx, as many might know, is the eternal wakestone, that you have to use outside like a ferrystone and it revives all people in the area of you. Given that you're unlikely to just carry this around, you'll likely have to go to the crypt and use it outside the crypt regardless. It seems to be a one time use, but there's a way around it, spoiler number 2 Spoiler for dragonsplague reversal item reuse: You can take the eternal wakestone to the forger at the checkpoint rest camp, have him forge is for 40000 gold (a lot I know, but well worth it), and it works the exact same as the original, you literally get two back. Same with monster materials as well for anyone that needs that. The cost is expensive regardless, but it is NOT "you can only reverse this once." I just found this out so maybe spread it around.
For the Alonzo quest you can also tell him the kid about his parents in the jail cell but then immediately go to kill the guy at the abandoned battleground and after you kill hom the kid shows up. Same thing from that point, offer him a job at one those places
Tip for the Jarle quest (it took me 4 tries and my pawns kept killing it before he got poisoned) is to pick him up and move him to the business end of the Chimera (the snakes face). He’ll get bit pretty quickly
You don't have to give NPCs items until they "keep repeating the same voice line". As soon as you hit max affinity they blush, and it's extremely hard to miss. Also, if you go to the slums at night, you don't need to pick a "specific nunlady". A cutscene triggers with Elena and after that, speaking to her (which the game is heavily ushering you to), you get the quest that way.
Yeah... I did miss at least half of these. The game is really thorough in pointing out meaningless notes (for you to read) or ladders, but when it comes time to point out potential NPCs that can have a quest for you, it does its best to conceal them, so you can only find out about their quest, if you force yourself to talk to them (for whatever reason). Not to mention that the main quest doesn't guide you back to Melve, so you have absolutely no reason to go there and thus you miss at least half of the romance of the game.
If you get very lucky with the dragon attack the mystic spear hand dies and you’ll get his weapon its 600+ on both attack stats but you can find him at the village alive that ulrika moves to
In Vernworth there are two houses you can buy, the one where you get from the lady that wants to go on adventure and the second one in Noble Quaters for 200k gold, he is standing outside a home and if you talk to him, he will ask you if you wanna buy it.
oxcart quest triggers once you have the quest to reach bakbattahl not after you give the 15 crystals, so after you reach it and talk to the nel you can go back to vem and they will talk about the ox cart.
In the romance part, if earlier you help one of the town npc to go help his brother, the the two of them will create a distraction while the soldiers are in the town. Then you can get 4 swords from the place the guard was instead of having to buy them. Pretty cool not gonna lie.
I completely missed the Ulrika quest chain the first time I played through because I never went back to Melve so never fought the dragon there. The quests in Harve are very similar if you don't progress Ulrika's quests with the saurians attacking the village, but they end up with the grump old chief of Harve kicking out the Beastrens for causing trouble. So a much sadder ending.
Also for the home is where the hearth is if you complete the entire village quest line before the ulrika one the beastran move out of the village and the old cheif stays even after melve moves in.
There's another quest I think is easy to miss too that I find.. it's called "Till Death Do US Part" you started with Ser Gregor's wife but first you have to talk with Ser Gregor so you know the plot so you can tell her wife then the quest is trigger. Its a time quest also. That will give you the trophy for defeating the headless hourseman. It has to be before the coronation and the culling..
It's crazy how much content a player can miss playing Dragon's Dogma 2. I'm on my second playthrough, and I'm discovering so much I missed in the first go round!
It sorta felt like a case of people rushing the main quest, accidentally or otherwise. I noticed on the third day after release when I was still cleaning up all these quests in vermund, everyone else was at the end of the game complaining the game was too short. Missed the masquerade one though, never once thought to go back into the masquerade hall after the coronation
If u do Isaac’s quest right now His family is saved and he stays at the Apothecary. Make a fake copy of the tome and give it to him. He then sells u the first tome.
Instead of buying 4 swords for melve, If you do the quest in melve to find Ian's brother, you can have them help you sneak into the building that is holding the village weapons for free.
Wonder if she will cut you a dear if you use the Beast mask and lower those 300k. Also you can save the apothecary owner if you give him a copy of the book. Another option for Hugo is to send him the brothel if you finished the love interest quest there.
Interesting. I didn't know you could get Hugo to turn his life around before killing Lanzo. Went to the Ancient Battleground to finish the job (the jailer was still sitting on his butt after 3000G, and I got impatient trying to progress Hugo's story.) Turns out, he was right behind me after I cleared the bandits looking for his revenge. Maybe there's a 3rd plot line where you plant him in front of Lanzo and help him get his vengeance.
For the Every Rose Has It's Thorns, there is no need to gift her. If you thanked her after helping you second time and not questioned her, her affinity will be well enough so the quest will appear naturally as you come visit her few days after.
In the Wilhelmina Quest, you can show the evidence to Brant. You then have the option to arrest Allard. Didn't found it myself, but a pawn on my team pointed out that Brant could take a look at the evidence. But I still let her have revenge on him.
Wow, i didnt do half of that Hugo quest. I had forged the Gaol key earlier on, and i just unlocked his cell grabbed him and carried him out. - Continued on to make him the shop keeper because i gave the original shop keeper both books and he killed his family and left the shop. Wont make that mistake again NG+.
You can also tell Hugo what Brefft said and have him still live. . . . I told him and then went to the Ancient Battleground on foot. After killing Lanzo, Hugo showed up and got mad because he wanted to kill him himself. I hadn't unlocked either job so he just hung around there for a few days till I found him a job.
Few of these quests are really hidden, given how visibly most of the npcs communicate that they need help. The devs just swapped out the exclamation mark over their head for a really loud line of dialogue they keep repeating. I think the only quests that qualify as hidden are those that are locked behind gifts/affinity like that of wilhelmina you mentioned. Solving some of those quests however without outside/pawn help is the real challenge.
Well the NPCs talk and gossip about rumors that dont mean shit regularly so it's not hard to understand how people might drown it out as background noise at times
The only one i missed was the ulrika quest, but i even got locked out of the dragon in melve, i think it was because i did all the quests in harve or that i ran into drakes around the map before returning to melve. The exploring in DD2 is so good, think i played like 70hours before even entering battahl, just doing every quest i could find and exploring
On the Hugo quest it's possible to tell him everything and kill Lanzo yourself and give Hugo a job at the end. That's what I did. Hugo will go to the ancient battleground as well if you do it right, he'll show up just as you finish up things with Lanzo.
You can give the apothecary a forgery of the book and his family will survive. He will continue to be a shopkeep but this blocks yhe option of Hugo working there.
Saint of the slums, after the quest is complete you can go back to Radcliff and if you give gim 3k gold he'll go to the slums and work there, if not every patient dies there
Before getting to this part you may need to complete some missions from Captain Brant: Fighter meister skill that most seem to miss or have a hard time getting. Talk to the carriage owner dude in vernworth, he will give you a letter to Lennart. Go to melve, fight the dragon (once he retreats). Lennart will talk to you and you cannot gift him anything yet. Go back to the cart dude in vernworth, let him know you delivered the letter. Go back to melve, talk to lennart and this time gift him a golden trove beetle, he will get way excited and gift you the skill. You're welcome.
Im on the last main quest and i feel like i missed like 80% of the side quest just because they never presented themselves, sorry im not looking in every lil spot for quests😢
Before you cam gift items to Welhilmena you also have to complete the phantom ox cart quest for some reason. You be allowed to gift her anything until you finish it
nope dont need to finish oxcart quest, you just need to finish the quest where the souverain flees into from the ball to the brothel. after that i was free to talk to her and gift her.
@LeVentize nope on both my save files she refused to let me give her a gift until I finished the phantom oxcart quest. In fact she's the one that gave it to me
after finishing Wilhelmina's quest I went back to Allard's house and gave 3 bunch of flowers to his daughter? or wife? Henrietta. Now she's always bluffing when i'm around. Shes one of the best looking NPCs in the game IMO.
Interesting, I played the first game so much that I'm very familiar with how dragons dogma handles quests, and I wanted to see if I missed any, nice to know that yhe only one I missed was the second masquerade noble quest.
Crossing in Shadow is another quest I just randomly gotten, Got it by going to my home in Vernworth at dusk. Unclear if shadowed prayers quest must be done first but have a feeling it may be required to trigger this quest.
I never got the Ulrika quest line, and didn't even know about it until my husband was asking me where to find her. So apparently, here's what happened to me, so that it hopefully doesn't happen to you. Early on, Brant will give you a quest to take an Oxcart to Melve and deliver a letter. I hoped on the Oxcart and halfway through the route, the cart was attacked and destroyed by a Griffon. So I walked back to Venworth, hoped back on an Oxcart, when to sleep, and woke up to the cart being attacked at night by a ton of monsters, and it was destroyed again. At this point, I decided to just walk to Melve and gain exp along the way. Eventually, I made it to Melve and delivered the letter, slept at the inn, recovered my pawns, etc. I went back to Brant, told him I delivered the letter, and that was that. What I didn't know was that Oxcart arriving in Melve triggers a dragon attack, and then subsequently the Ulrika quest line. Walking there does NOT trigger this quest line o.o
I bought the ornate box sven wanted it and i continued to meet him, figured it was how i was supposed to get into the masquerade and got the fancy clothes at the end
Huh. I only missed one of these. Note on the Phantom Oxcart: You don't have to strip naked or even get on the cart. Wait around near the cart with your lantern off, and he'll start moving. Follow the cart a ways (but not too closely or he'll see you and disappear), and you'll be transported to the border checkpoint. WATCH the pawns get beaten by the guards (don't stop the guards from beating the pawns) , and when they're finished, you'll all be transported to the last area of the quest where it will play out like it did on the video. Also, for some reason, Wilhelmina vanished after the romance scene, and I can't find her anywhere. Not at the morgue, not in jail, not in the Bordelrie, not in the hotsprings - nowhere. If anyone knows what's up with this, please let me know. Thanks.
Number 1 is actually incorrect. I actually managed to do this quest right before coronation by carrying sven down from the castle and plopping him in front of the vendor, which would trigger their dialogue. It did take me two tries and i think it has to be during the day, but it definitely works
You do not need to take four swords from your storage nor buys them as long as you go in search around there is a way as part of the quest to get the four swords
There are more outcomes to the every rose has its Thorns quest, you can talk to brant and he will give you an alternate type of evidence to find and offer to detain him if you bring it to him. I have no idea what this does as I gave the evidence to her and it wasn't good enough so she got captured after we killed him never to be seen again(so far).
In my play through of Jarle’s side quest, after the Chimera fight, I found my guy face down on the floor of his own home. I guess he died from the poison and I had to revive him. I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
(I’m trying not to give any spoilers but wanna share my experience with this) For me I told Hugo what was up with the leader and I got caught up with the quest for that vendor you’re talking about bcuz I got a forgery made of the book he wanted and went I went back and gave him the forgery the outcome was different from yours and right after I was heading to Hugo and the Captain (I think) from the initial raid on the hideout, stops me and says Hugo escaped and killed leader for revenge but died too in the process. I got Volume 1 of the book from the vendor the following day so idk if it’s connected somehow on the choice you make with either. Oh I hadn’t done the assassin quest yet either at that point.
The assassin quest was over very quickly, and I killed lanzo after I told Hugo everything but I reached lanzo first, and I did the phantom cart before I handed the wyrmlife crystals. The quest was on that stage but otherwise I never visited him
This video is technically correct, but I want to give DD2 players some good advice for playing through the game and enjoying it- *do not* rest purely to pass time to complete quests. When the game tells you to "wait a day" or "a while", go to do another quest and let time pass naturally or when you need to rest to recover bonuses and health. Not doing this will make the game seem very disjointed and inorganic!
You can meet the cart at night much earlier but you can’t follow it it’s speeds away an vanish into thin air and you can get the quest to follow before you romance her and before you turn in the crystals The cart quest was a real let down I hoped it would be like a secret boss or something

Also if a shop keep leaves their stand you can scoop them up and take them back and talk to them and you'll get the shop open again
do you have to drag him back out each day for all the rewards?

I’m wrapping up this quest now, I’ll go make a forge and make an inn save for the turn ins.
Yeah, about that sell price.. If you talk to the guard who has supposedly been guarding it for years he mumbles about how valuable it must be >.>;
Still, doesn't seem to have a follow-up sadly.
You get significantly more gold for the quest reward and a lot more hype from Roman, the guard, for turning in the real deal.
If I'm not mistaken the swords unavailable to choose on forgery shop
@@RamonXick you can make a forgery of it for 7k gold
tip, you can tell Hugo what breft said, but if you instantly go to the bandit leader, you can save hugo AND dont need to pay to have him exit prison. thats what i did, cause i thought that was the quuest path.
How instantly are we talking about?
Ferrystone or walk within a day?
@@setsuna5919 I told hugo, oxcarted to rest town and the ran/jogged to Lorenzo, after killing him Hugo showed up there, being all "damn I can't even take my revenge now"
emphasis on instantly 😭 i sprinted to the ancient battle ground and was so happy i got there before hugo
I killed the guards unlocked the door picked him up n revived the ekatt n brought him to the checkpoint
You can also just unlock his cell pick him up and carry him out of jail
Dont buy swords for the dragon quest. Theres an even earlier quest where you help a guy in Melve save his brother. If you do it, they will distract the guards to a building that has 4 swords in it for the quest.
Also, the questline with the slum girl Daphne, if you give both curatives asked for and any cyclops drop, you won't have to go save the boy. He returns unharmed.
It's unlikely, but while writing this comment, it made me wonder if having various monster parts will act as a deterrant while using oxcarts. Testing will be needed. I won't be the one to do testing because I need that XP.
The deterrant only works for the Quest, not for you.
Not true, gave both potions and the eye and he still got poisoned and needed saving, maybe 2 pancea?
@rskid777 I gave two Panacea and he came back in half a day.
@@rskid777 I gave the 2 specific curstives and a bone
I gave both potions not panacea and eye and he was just fine
With Isaac, you can use the transference page thingy and make a forgery in checkpoint rest and give him that instead. Then he performs the ritual, but it fails and he accepts that he should just live with his family as-is, leaving both him and the wife and daughter happy.
Dude thank you, I'm literally about to do that quest in a minute and I couldn't decide
@@ryanof3004 Hah! No worries.
@@gamester512 I have both the books, how do I combine them? Just go to my inventory? And I heard there is also a third book
Bro I picked them up prior fuckkk
Yea I picked up Wilhelmina quest really early and then got locked out at some point through story
The blockage is when you finish the Checkpoint area and go through the gate, because Phaseus and Allard go to Battahl
Damn i started but 3rd playthrough coz i missed both ulrika and wilhelmina lol
How???
@@gharn2594 it's for the mystic spearhand and it's called the dead ringer.
@@gharn2594 yeah ulrika progresses as normal but you get unique dialogue when the assholes show up saying it was clearly a fake dragon
You have to stand still and they’ll attack if you keep moving or using vendors they won’t do anything but speak
Yeah that last part took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out
I reread the quest details and it said "apprehend elena and signal the guards" and I was like....what if I just tackle the bitch?
And it worked 😅
13:38 FYI: You can give Isaac a forgery of the grimoire and he will continue to live.
Otherwise, sent Hugo to work there. If the store closed.
Something to note is that the Ulrika quest if you don't do it you will get the same quest to save the soldier but the guy will actually get exiled.
I'm actually kinda sad. I was hoping for some obscure quest that I had missed.
I was surprised when it turned out I did all of these, except for the masquerade one. Also I got the phantom Oxcart quest from Wilhelmina actually.
On the saint of the slums quest i got to exploring the basement room and ran in there the lady spotted me so i was like ok ill leave i accidentally takled her and finished the quest right there got the 11000 gold and bam quest done i was like what happened. 😂😂😂😂
Same exact thing happened to me really caught me off guard.
The phantom cart is partially timed when you get it it’s normal but when you start it off when you get to the location it then becomes timed
Slums holy mother quest actually has another step - talk to the friendly nun after the arrest. Then go to check point town and enlist the doctor there. Come back to the slums - the beastren dude actually lives. If you do not do this, he will die.
Yeah, today was a busy day for me in dd2. I finally killed a dragon, a chimera, and two ogres at the same time. Fun stuff!
This channel really hates timestamps huh?
It’s so you watch the whole video
No timestamps = Dislike/Thumbs down but I'll still fast-forward to certain spots.
@@Ohmu there are Timestamps...
In the Description it's in the "Chapters" section.
So in terms of how to reverse this, REPEATEDLY I might add (as in there is a way to get the item that reverses it more than once without cheating), read below, spoiler for Sphynx quest:
Spoiler for Sphynx quest: So the last reward for the Sphynx, as many might know, is the eternal wakestone, that you have to use outside like a ferrystone and it revives all people in the area of you. Given that you're unlikely to just carry this around, you'll likely have to go to the crypt and use it outside the crypt regardless. It seems to be a one time use, but there's a way around it, spoiler number 2
Spoiler for dragonsplague reversal item reuse:
You can take the eternal wakestone to the forger at the checkpoint rest camp, have him forge is for 40000 gold (a lot I know, but well worth it), and it works the exact same as the original, you literally get two back. Same with monster materials as well for anyone that needs that.
The cost is expensive regardless, but it is NOT "you can only reverse this once." I just found this out so maybe spread it around.
Interesting. Might try this.
U can also send Hugo to a place "with lots of books" ;)
oxcart quest triggers once you have the quest to reach bakbattahl not after you give the 15 crystals, so after you reach it and talk to the nel you can go back to vem and they will talk about the ox cart.
In the romance part, if earlier you help one of the town npc to go help his brother, the the two of them will create a distraction while the soldiers are in the town. Then you can get 4 swords from the place the guard was instead of having to buy them. Pretty cool not gonna lie.
Did all but 1.
My question is, will he sells a new ring and face cover?
I paid the guard to let Hugo out and that night Hugo escaped and killed the other prisoner, and he and Lanzo killed each other. Quite poetic honestly
I missed two of these so thank you for that! New game plus just started last night and I will definitely get these done.
You can still trigger the ornate box quest if you give him up to the guards. I gave him up, then later, I still got the quest
You can also buy the box and give him money and Sven will still be able to buy it.. even though it is sold out lol
I keep trying to do the Saint of the Slums quest and it’s not allowing me. Any suggestions!!!
The very end of the video where the ogre just i must go my people needs me, really got me
Interesting.
At night, along the phantom ox cart route, it will pass by at mach 5 with no ability to get on, mount etc.
You can still progress in vernworth a bit and do the ornate box quest you just have to pick up sven and take him to the vendor and it will trigger
The four swords you can get free. They’re in a house w guards standing outside of it
You can give the apothecary a forgery of the book and his family will survive. He will continue to be a shopkeep but this blocks yhe option of Hugo working there.
Saint of the slums, after the quest is complete you can go back to Radcliff and if you give gim 3k gold he'll go to the slums and work there, if not every patient dies there
If you give him the money, he simply gives you the money back over time, if you buy the box and give it to him, you get the item rewards.
I just finished the storyline and meet him at the fishing village and he gave me the scroll. No trading needed.
@Nesimus well for me it broke. So giving him the beetle fixed it for me..
Damn, missed the Ulrika stuff. This sucks
In fact she's the one that gave it to me
@@raheidkeif5689 weird cuz ive never done that quest but finished hers twice

after finishing Wilhelmina's quest I went back to Allard's house and gave 3 bunch of flowers to his daughter? or wife?
Walking there does NOT trigger this quest line o.o
the wyrmlife crystal are the best to make all npc love you quickly.
The quest cutoffs in this game are a nightmare.
These quests are much more common than you think my good sir
That's funny. I didn't miss a single one of these in my first playthrough. That is why it took me 62 hours to complete the game
Cop:
"No killing." Hooker: "Help me avenge my family!" Arisen with too many hearthstones: "Why not both?"
In my play through of Jarle’s side quest, after the Chimera fight, I found my guy face down on the floor of his own home. I guess he died from the poison and I had to revive him. I couldn’t stop laughing 😂
Man is the definition of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes"
That mission with the kid that owes u money...i made sure i completed that cuz i WANTED my money! 😂
Even if you don't cover for Sven when he first runs into you you'll still be able to do the ornate box quest 🤔
You can give the apothecary in Bakbatthal a forgery of the tome which saves him and his family.
I would like to see them add a cooking station and a riff stone to the ultra houses for that amount of money.
so many missable quests the whole game is a
I've cleared all these save Hugo's, who is supposed to have spawned in the Ancient Battleground and he's missing.
You can meet the cart at night much earlier but you can’t follow it it’s speeds away an vanish into thin air and you can get the quest to follow before you romance her and before you turn in the crystals
The cart quest was a real let down I hoped it would be like a secret boss or something
Poisonous Proposal is probably the most frustrating and most rewarding out of all of these.
