I know they were some really good pieces cut from those two albums but I think Phil Collins really inspires him to be who he his and move on from Zep. phils drumming in both albums and live performances were awesome.

Sadly his later albums were over-rated with "critics" praising any country twanged crooning shit Plant came out with. I gave up with Fate of Nations or maybe Now and Zen. Can't remember. He could have been more magnanimous with Led Zeppelin and their fans than he was and after many years, he became a drudgery to listen to. He would always talk about doing different things, but Zeppelin sounded different with every album. Half of Robert Plant's solo albums all sound the same and monotonous. Still, I count myself fortunate to have been able to catch Page and Plant twice in concert on those two tours. legendary.

Plant’s first solo album has sort of been relegated to the dustbin of history, but it’s a record that I’ve always enjoyed. At the time, it was a breath of fresh air and a wise move not to make a “Zeppelin-esque” album. With the exception of Shaken & Stirred, I’ve loved every record he’s made. Always taken the unexpected road.

I was there in Houston, September 20, 1983, I believe. And Phil Collins was the drummer, and I think Bob Mayo also toured with the band, playing 2nd guitar and/or 2nd keyboard as needed. Great show. +Pan Damasque The drummers during the "Robbie Blunt era" of Plant's post-Zeppelin career weren't really "permanent" per se. I know Phil Collins played drums on 6 of the 8 songs of each of the first 2 albums, but Cozy Powell and Barriemore Barlow played a couple of songs on each of those first 2 albums, and then Richie Hayward played drums on the third and last Blunt era album (Shaken n Stirred). I think Phil Collins played drums on the Principle of Moments tour, but not on the Pictures at Eleven tour.
