For anyone doing this auxiliary fan replacement ( air condition fan/ secondary cooling fan) The fan he replaced is the primary cooling fan that runs off the serpentine belt. German cars also use metric hardware so 11/16 is the improper tool. No point to use anti seize if the bolt is stripped lol. The auxiliary fan can be replaced with an electric fan off ebay(like 15-25$) you will need to remove the bumper to get clearance to remove and install new fan. I will probably do a video to help..
You can't fit it in using this method. The whole radiator mount is broken on the car and he is flexing it back a inch or two, lol. @5:45 If your car doesn't have a broken mount, don't try to do this, lol. You have to pull of the bumper :)

Having trouble getting the bolt loose. Any suggestions?
2.0t engine is all electrical fans and front bumper must be removed to gain enough clearance to change fans.
Way to go man
Very good...exactly what I needed to know

This method won’t work for an 05 Passat. I have an 05 Passat and the serpentine belt don’t even touch the fan. It’s all electrical
$30 for the clutch? The cheapest I found was $50 on 1AAuto.
