You are joining me for a short 3 hour session targeting some silvers today on a very old mill lodge. Some great fish in here to target but I was not expecting the fish that came along. Simple fishing with a sound setup and minimalistic tackle. I am still on my artificial bait ban so natural baits only on this one with sweetcorn, maggots and spicy sausage on the hook.
Sometimes life gets busy and we can only get a few hours to go out and do what we enjoy. I hope this video illustrates what can be achieved in just a few hours fishing.

I enjoy watching Westy doing something other than carp fishing with a method feeder. Variety is the spice of life.
Nice interesting video at Coppull mill, just a few miles from my home. I've caught some nice tench and carp there when I was much younger. It's quite a deep lodge.

Another cracking video. I only took up course fishing 12 months ago and I love it. Not many women do but I really enjoy a days fishing and I am retired so it's my main hobby. Have learnt so much from your videos and am catching more than my partner now. We are off up to North Wales for a week so the tackle is loaded up in the car. Many thanks for your enjoyable videos because they have certainly inspired me to keep at it and enjoy being outdoors. X.

I was on that peg a few days ago had a load of bream towards the right on the tree line and a tench

I think that sturgeon books a appointment with westy. He will get all this line off me and sort of my cuts so I can crack on 😂😂😂.

The lake I fish, the silvers can get huge as they don’t get fished for (mostly carp anglers) so I always take my float rod to pass the time while I wait for the carp rod to go

Korum bolt bead they are called, for method feeders normally. The running beads are on my website also 👍🏻

They don’t fight as hard as cats but a very cool fish 🎣

Only a couple I believe
If you go to a new water, do you take as much as you can or do you decide before how you are going to fish i.e. feeder chair set up or rod pod set up etc as obviously all swims and waters different.
I usually get my stuff ready In advance and decide what session I’m filming before I go ! But I think this is sometimes my downfall as it may not be the right way to fish on the day
Anytime you pour a coffee or want a sandwich the rod tip goes round 🙂

Why anglers use much longer hook length when using cage feeder ? What’s the logic behind it, I’ve always wondered.
Longer hook length mean that the hook bait will be far away from the free groundbait right ?
I think the logic is that silver fish hang away from the feeder or that the cage feeder creates a larger spread of bait. Different to the method feeder or carp rigs.

I’m honestly not sure this landing net handle was donated too me and it’s the best I have had ! It’s old but strong 😂
I was only wondering because I have wide ones with 3mt handle but it’s getting a bit heavy for me when wet. Yours look easier and not deep 👍
