26 fish on the method feeder Saturday just gone for me. Sat out till 2 am with my new korum chair with 2 rod xs feeder arm setup. Bites coming every 10 minutes. So glad I took the plunge and brought it all. Thanks to westy for his review
Fair play to you both for giving it a go, targeting specimen fish is always hard especially when you only have a limited amount of time to play with👍always next time mate, still a good film to watch 👍👍👍
I wish I could fish with my dad one more time. My dad taught me to fish when i was a kid and teen, mainly fishing the River Lee. I started fishing again after 30 odd years, I'm now 60...
Don't waste ya money, 3 of us 5 trips and all blanks 48hr on and sod all Even the so called destroyer ain't thier and hasn't been for year's, if the bailiff told me the world was round I'd want a second opinion
Did you use back leads as I have found with cats being so long most single beeps are cats swimming threw your line And for bait try try a halibut pellets and a pop up with worms
Good try fellas, different tactics for different venues it's the way it goes. My personal favourite is luncheon meat marinaded in curry powder, then that into a pva bag with trout pellet an salmon&squid oil, it's worked for me my pb at the moment is 56lb, but hope to get bigger 👍
ua-cam.com/users/shortsqgi2Vb8WqGM?si=MG_dfTi1Xs4f5igC Unlikely when specimen fishing like this … but here is a video of me handling a double take on feeder rods
In addition if you freeline with lunchen meat, you will stand a high chance of deep hooking the cat, your advice is dangerous. The right thing to do is to either use a semi fixed lead with a 8 to 10 inch hook length with a tight hair and a kicker in the hook. Or fish with ceramic running rings on wide bore tungston tubing terminating in a tulip bead.
Unlucky pal. Bet the bloopers were great on this video. Especially when you realised you had no bivvy. Got my yearly big fish hunts coming up at stanwick and york lakeside lodges. Hopeful for some whoppers.
I fish hillside and they definitely don't go 85lb I've had loads of cats out hillside biggest 34lb apparently they go to 68lb but since I'm hillside re opend 20 years ago I've never seen one picture of a cat over 50lb
Honuestly was this a joke video ? 3.15 lb test curve what a joke , minimum for a cat rod us 4lb test curve , 30lb line should be the minimum , and if you nee anything you eould know you use leads 4oz plus , on a running rig as you want it pinned to lake bed , with a ceramic runner at least 1m of tube. The advice your giving is dangerous please stop
Cats don’t feed in a way that you can deep hook them. They are quite gentle feeders and suck and blow like carp. You haven’t got a clue . Hence why you only have 80 subs
had 12lb, 20lb and 44lb catfish all on method feed and wafter, size 8 barbless hook 18lb line, 9ft tele rod 3lb test.....cats will eat anything...theres no hard and fast rules.....just use a lot of clutch control to get them knackered...and a deep landing net as they have long tails
There is very little science involved in catching a Catfish. I've caught dozens on a big smelly PVA bag of pellets with a big smelly boilie inside. They are not rig aware as they can hardly see, they are just giant hoovers who suck an enormous mouthful of bait in at once . My PB is 120lb on exactly the method i've described, so stop making out it's an exact science. Float fishing for them however is a different matter and requires skill and knowledge.
Mate thanks for doing this for hillside I appreciate it
The quest for the big cats has only just begun. The struggle just makes the final success taste that bit sweeter.
Blanking is all part of the game.

@@WestysAngling Nice one for that pal
Thats why it's called fishing and not catching 😊😊
Fair play to you mate, got some balls still posting when you don’t catch

100% this. this guys advice is bloody deadly to these poor fish.
There won't be many cats about with two tom cats sitting on the bank.😂😂
Size 4 hook 😂 I use 2/0 hooks for pellets 🤣

@@PaulsWest lol, think weve all bin there and forgot stuff. Always funnier when its someone else tho
To make life easier you should get the korum meat cutter and meat stops
I don’t like plastic meat stops, but feel free to use it on your rigs 👌🏻

You really need to get laid, you haven’t got a clue.

Not the most interesting one you've made Westy.
Don’t like them don’t watch them ? Simple. You can’t catch every time you go out and it’s a vlog style channel
I bet he has spent hours filming and editing the video to still help people.
lol he pinned the comment. fair play
