- I had the rare opportunity to interview comedy and tv legend, Jerry Seinfeld, ahead of his first ever show in Singapore. I was honestly nervous meeting the icon, but his warmth, honesty and willingness to be vulnerable with me, made this one of the best interviews I've ever been a part of.

Dear Joshua, This was a wonderful interview with insightful questions and fascinating answers. If you ever talk to Jerry Seinfeld, what he did for humanity could be an example such as myself. When I was busy getting up very early, going to very difficult places in Philadelphia, I feel for my students as I say that, I had this joy of watching Jerry Seinfeld 's television show. The time when the girlfriend broke up with him, and she was a dermatologist, and she had a specific reason and she tells him. He responds to himself by saying "Still got it!" That was some of the comfort I got, that he could laugh at himself for not working out for his girlfriends when I used to seriously bemoan why my boyfriends did not work out. This humor was profound while he had the superficial way of looking at his relationships, I found great comfort in that, that all would be OK. I loved that little slice of wisdom also! Jerry is not only a funny comedian, but a smart and thoughtful person as well.
I used to be poor. Now I'm very much not poor. Jerry is right, money doesn't make you happy. It solves a few problems but it doesn't make you happy.

These most recent interviews with Seinfeld have been getting better. It feels like he is mellowing out, and is more kind to those interviewing him
Yeah I’ve seen some of his interviews where he’d, take control away from the interviewer and do his own thing. I get it, that’s what an entertainer does. It’s scary on the receiving end though to attempt reclaiming that power. He did nothing of that sort here as you can see. He trusted me and I’m a nobody so that was… very kind of him

Seinfeld gives back the same energy the interviewer brings. If they want to be shitty, he will be shitty right back. Deservedly in most cases. He also doesn't suffer fools gladly. Which is difficult when dealing with the media.

He's always been nice. He does know how to dish back, if someone is nasty to him.
I'm glad I allowed this title to lure me in to watching this video. Both the interviewer and his subject were both thoughtful and interesting from beginning to end.
Alas! The title worked. I’m curious how you’d title it though, I definitely feel stuck when it comes to that aspect of promoting a video on UA-cam. On my end my obligations were to play it on radio, but putting it here allows me to archive it for the future, open the audience up beyond my little radio show

Anyone with even a passing interest in Jerry Seinfeld is going to be curious as to what makes for the "best" interview of him "ever", and then when they see that the length of the video isn't long, they'll likely be willing to spend a few minutes to find out what's so special about this particular interview. Once they begin watching, they're staying until the end.
I found it interesting to see a young person given a chance to have a conversation with an entertainment legend. You had worthwhile questions for him, and as usual Jerry was brilliant and honest.
He didn't lie, it was the best Jerry Seinfeld Interview ever!
Hahaha I know it’s a bit of a reach with these titles. But I’m just hoping to hit some strong numbers so his team has me back for more interviews 🤣

Great interview. Probably the most genuine discussion I’ve seen with Seinfeld i.e. he opens up without doing any bits.
that was truly amazing. Jerry really gave this kid his heart. Amazing questions. Keep going. Life is not always magic, but it can be.
Haha I’ll share with you this little bit. When the camera first came on, he exclaimed “is that a bed?!” Lol

I like what comedian DL Hughley said: “It took that show 5 years for it to stand on its own. If i could be in the 5th grade for 3 years I’d be the smartest kid in my class.” Ha! NBC gave the show many chances for it to find an audience.
This makes me miss the quality sitcoms I grew up watching. It’s so nice to see him as a genuine, kind, introspective guy. We need more men like Seinfeld.
I can just see Jerry trying to bring a box of Pop-Tarts through Singapore customs, then trying to explain what they are..

very touching! i teared up at the end. I think people from the east have a general natural sincere respect (having gone to Asia many times). i think it was disarming Jerry in a way. brought a very kind deep part of him

Thank you for telling me this Declan. I always fear the worst but hope for the best with these interviews, you kinda never know how things will go and.. I really was blown away by how warm he was. He honestly didn’t need to say yes to my interview, but he wanted to do some press ahead of his first Singapore show so, a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to seize - also this was done at 6am in Singapore time hahaha

Jerry is such a humble guy. He is funny but an even better person.
Best interview ever! Jerry is right about being “rich” is not about money. My dad lived his life and was happy until the day he died. He wasn’t wealthy. He had family and friends who lived him and he was very close to them and me. He taught me that very important lesson in life when he died.
What a blessing to have a father who lived his life like that, offering you a template to how to live yours. Thank you for sharing my friend.

Very sweet interview. The Seinfeld show was as great an example as I've ever seen of the collaborative efforts of brilliant, creative people and energy to bring authentic joy to people's lives. Even all the amazing advances of technology and the internet have not brought as much enduring happiness and light hearted, shared enjoyment to the world as that show. It is a link to life before the internet, when we all knew how to talk to each other, laugh, and enjoy life much better than we do now! 🙏

my daughter and i have long philosophical conversations….so she’s further along than I was at her age, that pleases me.
I’m currently sorting through my parents things since moving them to an independent living facility….my mother documented everything. I have a mountain load of stuff in my garage getting shoved into big tidy bins since she’s still alive.
I tried once to do like her, keep a journal on vacation, I quit after the second day….i’ve always felt who is going yo want to study me, how it went on my vacations…I have studied living in the NOW, to hear Jerry say that makes me feel even better, I’m missing the chronicle my life chip.

Excellent question. From this and some other interviews i noticed Jerry is quite spiritual.
And wise. He has been meditating for his entire adult life, and attributes much of his success to it. A calm mind is not a little gift, Jerry is colorful but never seems to lose his cool. And his views on life and demeanor reflect a high degree of emotional intelligence, something humanity had none of during Covid.

Very kind of you. I hope I can keep doing these. It used to be in person. And in Singapore where I’m at, I do them for the radio show. After the pandemic they stopped flying us out for interviews. But when the opportunities come, I do my best
