ive always wanted someone to make a pokemon rom hack where you play through as a coordinator instead of the usual gym challeneger. i loved the contests in the anime soooo much.
I've been wanting a game like this for so long! It'd be cool if there was an Elite 5, one trainer for each contest condition (apparently that is the offical name of pokemon contest types)
I'm interested in the idea of a game all about Pokemon contests now. What would it be like? What kind of plot? Would a region or game all about contests have new mechanics for it? You got me thinking
I mean, I'd love it. But I think contest will always shine best in anime format, when animators can go wild to make artistic performances. I'd love an anime all about competitive contest and figthing while trying to make the most beautiful spectacle.
Contests are my absolute favorite, I'm so happy to finally see someone on youtube doing them justice and not just calling them boring or useless 😭 Would love to see how Zoey would fair next since she actually won the grand festival in the anime, would be fun to see if she's up to the game standards XD

Was randomly recommended this video and I'm so thankful! I love Contests! I spent a whole two months getting all the Contest Ribbons in Platinum on my Infernape! It was one of the most exciting moments I've ever had in a Pokemon game since I played them religiously as a kid!
I have been in a contest craze recently. I just absolutely love playing Contests in Platinum and watching Dawn doing a contest in the anime as well, I think I love anything contest related (except making poffins, that gives me pain). If Contests come back in Legends Z-A or another game that arent a Hoenn and Sinnoh remake, I would be so happy, I wish Contests return! You did an awesome video! Happy Holidays!
This video just made me supe sad again about what they did with the contests in BDSP. The system was so in-depth and so fun to play with in the originals. Actually depressing.
I never played Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and had played only Brilliant and I had no idea that in the old games there were so much more options for Contest Gameplay.
An amazing video, love your energy and the way you have fun doing it, we need more pokemon contest content. Would be nice to see Nando team with the musician and dance theme he has, Zoey and Ursula have interesting teams to explore too
So we've learned that Jessie is a great coordinator, but not an ultra or master coordinator, let alone a Top Coordinator xD Loved the video, especially that moment where Jessie turned to ash xD (but not that kinda Ash xD) Can't wait to see more! ^_^

I’m just gonna say: I do not blame the anime writers for not adapting the Dress-up and the Dance portions that clearly make Super Contests SUPER Contests. Anime Super Contests just worked better for that format. Even the Dressup Contest we got in All Dressed Up and Somewhere to Go was FUN. But to eat into the Appeals and Battles really would not have worked

@ Dawn and Serena both went to Hoenn as well. Maybe you could do all their contest in each of the regions they ventured to and Have Dawn for the Black and White games cause she went to Unova in the anime for a bit
I'd be curious to see how May would fair in a super contest with the pokemon of hers you can get in Platinum: Beautifly, Munchlax, Glaceon, and Skitty. (Or Blaziken if you trade one over). For that matter, how would Misty fair in a Pokemon contest with a roster of: Psyduck, Starmie, Gyarados, and Kingdra?
