- Let us introduce you to our friends on the road - starting with my best van life friend, and talk about how two people can live on the road with similar but different lives. If you have any budget van life questions, let us know! #vanlife #vanlifecommunity #vanlifefamily #alternativeliving #shorts
Was it hard having to downsize your wardrobe and having to transition to a minimalist lifestyle?
It wasn't for me because my husband and I were backpackers / international travellers before so we had already downsized to backpacks - but that first time I did that was a bit of a transition! That was 4, almost five years ago. Now I'm just used to it!
@Mixed Mystery & The Common Ground doesn't help if you're on the road and can't access your storage unit
@Mixed Mystery & The Common Ground it’s way more than that
Storage under the bed or trunk/garage

Love that!
That’s cool that you both have each other’s support!!! Yay for friends💜💙💜💙
I love that colorful tile backsplash!
Love the ambulance 😊
Lived in a van with my dad as a kid in the early 80's Picture items in your van you would not have in the 80's Or things like a chain fitness place that allows you to shower ......We used a "hibachi" to heat water to towel bath. Had a cord and a electric heater plugged into construction sites he worked at in Northern Ontario in the winter Showers was also at community centers with swimming pools etc 50 cent to $1 back then We did a coin op car wash at 1 am one day lol ....My tip to anyone starting out And wants to use as low power usage they can.......Get the best in Closed cell spray foam installed (PVC tubes for your in and out wiring) AC power And heating thru electrical power by 1/2 this way Idea being You want heat not escaping
It's popular for people in States to live in car houses recently,I guess it's related to the high price of buying or renting houses, isn't it ?
I'm also from Vancouver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hii!!!
That is so cool you two found each other and are friends.
I'm building out my sprinter to do this. I took trips in my Mazda hatchback and had alot of fun doing that. I loved camping before so van life seems like the right road to go down.
I dream of doing this! Van life seems so peaceful!
Looking forward to seeing more of your content! Safe travels!!
Omg I’m from Vancouver too!
hiiii!
I am from Vancity too!..Van-couver lol
That's good two girls and two vans travel together that's company and it's safety

Same !!!
omg me too!

The shoes on the bed 😳🫢
I’m looking for an ambulance. The prices are going crazy. Thanks to Bob buying one. 😂. Gas is coming down but did you have to stay pretty still when they were much higher?
Both so cute. 💕Love both set ups but working bathroom and toilet a must!! Guess sometimes I would just like to shower totally alone in my own space.
There are some vans with bathrooms, I like those
As a Canadian myself. What's it like going to the US in this life. How long can you stay, can you get in person work at all. ??
One month on from this comment. I get my 144 sprinter today. Moving out of the mazda. Rock on ladies.
I love the ambulance layout more than the typical fan. I feel like it’s easier to design inside since it’s angled lol maybe not but vans look more difficult
Love your old ambulance. It's adorable
I turned one into a transport for my music instruments when I was in a band. Many years ago. Now it's used as a space for visitors who stay overnight.
your name is Long
These vans are sooo nicee and cozy keep it up ❤️❤️❤️
Hello! Greetings from someone who lives 2 hours away from your home city!
That’s awesome!!!!
OMG! My name is Shay too and it’s about the exact same way!!!
AHHH THEYRE SO CUTE 😍
so are you
Do you form relationships and contacts everywhere you go or is it more temporary and you don't visit the same place again?
Kind of a bit of both
Hi girls , love your van / ambulance life … For the young lady who’s from Philadelphia does she know any companies that would help build a camping van from a minivan?
I can also help!
Living the life 🔥🤙🏼
I love shays!but I really like Rachels! :D
Love the space in an ambo - wonder what it’s like to drive as it is so heavy - how it is for maintainance x a subject for another video. Am 62 and downsizing
Hi! I'm Raychel, from Vancouver too. Love your ambulance 🚑 ❤️! Think you're both awesome. 😊😊
Thanks so much! 🥰
Please be safe you two! ❤
I like both setups.
Anytime fitness is the best. Even when me and my girl goes visit her family in the Philippines 🇵🇭 we have a gym to workout at
Yesss it’s the best
I was thinking about living a lifelike this and try it lol
Girl that showers at anytime fitness is a lifter for sure. Respect. You are superior.
This wouldn't have been a thought with my generation. You were supposed to go immediately to college, then get married and have kids. And if possible, stay home- so what was the point of a degree? I think it's awesome you young ladies are having experiences and making your own adventures. I hope my kids do the same!
It looks so cool 🤩
I am very happy for both of you. Looks fun. If I wasn't disabled, I might try it.
I want to have an RV and travel with friends in their own RVs of course and we just vibe and work.
Does the fact that you live in an ambulance scare you?Like when you remember what it used to be?
thank you for sharing
I'm 11 I want if I have the money I would build or buy something like that and I need tips for that I know I'm still young but I'm better prepared and it looks really nice there 😊🤩
Start saving when you get a part time job at 16 and before you buy one, make sure you get your full driver's license and can drive a bigger vehicle. Maybe find a job where you can work remotely with a laptop so that you can just work from the van.
That sounds like a good goal for the future. I don't live in a van, but I've traveled a fair bit, and this is my advice. This is a good time to start saving some money and learning some skills. If you learn skills that will allow you to work online or work traveling to different locations that will help you make money on the road. There are lots of options such as coding, writing, sales, therapy, computer repair, mechanics, electric, construction, music, nursing, farming, bartending, etc. Some of these skills could also help you convert your van or repair it. You could also ask your guardians if you can take a road trip together in a rental camper or their own vehicle and see how you like traveling. Best of luck!
UPDATE: To clarify, I am not recommending you bartend or drink alcohol before you reach the age it is legal where you live. In the US different states have different ages you can legally bartend ranging from 18-21. In every US state you can legally drink alcohol at age 21. The reason I mention bartending now is that it can be a great travel job for some people who like to be more independent and spontaneous bc they can quickly find temporary work in new cities and often take home cash at the end of each shift. There may be other jobs where you can do something similar like hair styling, photography, plumbing, electric, etc. If you prefer to work doing more physical activity than sitting at a computer and you don't want to wait for big companies to make slow decisions about where and when they will send you, these jobs might be good for you.
both alternative and it's awesome
I'm from Vancouver BC too!! I love your life!! My husband and I are talking about living in a van for a few years after we retire!!
Yess! That’s amazing!
I wish I could find other people like that, currently renovating a pull behind camper
I’m from Philly too

I'm from Vancouver!
I would love to that where I live
I Love It
I love the ambulance, it looks so cool inside., it must be so cool to yrsvel, travel, live free like that. I do have somewhat of an issue of inclosed small spaces,I might need something a little bigger, but I could get use to it.it would be fun to try. You seem to have more room in the ambulance.
I spend a good portion of my day outside. Out in the open air is key. I start my day with a coffee and the sunrise. End my day with the sunset.
How do you keep warm in winter? How do you cook food?
Hi from north Vancouver! Van life
I could not work without a setup for a normal chair, a mouse, and a second monitor

Can you please help me understand how to get started a little better, and what to expect for my fiancée from Norway.
Recently, I was planning on relocating, and getting married in Norway, but plans fell through, and my visa was rejected.
We had planned and figured everything out so that it would work out, but the Norwegian government didn’t have her in their tax records since she had been living in Denmark for over ten years. There are some complications here that will take too long to explain here, but I’d love to know more about how to get started and as fast as possible (with a possible collab(s), perks, and other opportunities) to actually make something worthwhile. Please respond to this comment if you’re interested, and I’ll explain my ideas in full to tell you how you benefit most. In the meantime, I hope you keep making great vids, or else I’m totally screwed lol skål!
Nice video ❤❤❤
Take care stay safe ❤️✨
She’s from Philly? Wow that’s close to my town, like 3 hours, closer to 2.
I’m another Vancouverite looking to move into van life! BC is just too freaking expensive to sustainably live now 😢
Looks awesome
Question! How do you two make money on the go?
Can you swap vehicles for 24 hours
PLEASE❤
We did! It was a full length video we did it here: ua-cam.com/video/HsG_01rCnz4/v-deo.html
OMG I GOT A VAN!!!!! Lookout 😅
YAY
The lack of toilet/shower is a deal breaker for me. Also, how to deal with hot temperatures...
Awesome. Respect my wife wanted to do something similar.
But as a gamer, and content creator along with being a tech geek I need a bigger space to build but this still looks cool. We might set up one just to have as a side traveling adventure haha
How did you get an ambulance? That's a good idea!
We got it on Craigslist!
I love this song. It’s by grizzly bear
What are some positives and negatives about a conventional Van vs a converted ambulance?
