This performance by Keith is one of his best; he's either totally sober, or just tuned up enough to overcome his shyness. And he's bringing his best bcuz, look who he's onstage with: Chrissie Hynde and Sheryl Crow.
One of the greatest things about Keith Richards is that he plays so well and plays with anyone who wants to rock. He is really one of the great songwriters in rock who loves to collaborate. Well done!
This is Keith. He duets with Nora Jones at the Gram Parsons tribute, and he rocks out with a punk looking Sheryl Crow a couple years earlier. This is why we love music and why Keith will ALWAYS be the definition off COOL !!!!
I saw Keith & The Expensive Wino's on 12/18/1988 in NJ he had Chuck Berry's Johnny Johnson on piano. Yes I got to see Keith on his birthday and the Wino's blew the roof off of that old barn called the Brendan Byrne arena that night. Keith just turned 77 today. Amazing !!
@@seththomson4025 I went with an old friend not knowing what to expect, thinking that the Rolling Stones were on the verge of breaking up. And to our surprise Keith was off the charts Great ! Thanks for sharing the memory, B. Well ! 🎸
Definetely!! She was there too, but was a ghost for all the people there. Played all the time with a smile on her face, but nobody figured that she was there.
This is absolutely fantastic A very good version of one of the best songs ever written by the best band on this planet Sheryl ist great too As Keith once said: "Sheryl is a good girl"
There some people that’s going to be difficult to imagine not being around anymore::::::Keith Richards is certainly one of those people::: When Stevie Ray Vaughn died::: I swear to god my heart stopped beating for a half a minute;;; I still struggle with that man not bending his strings like only he could do!!!! @@brenthammond9679 Keith Richards is a stunning songwriter and the master of the stunning guitar riffs....vaughn was a star...richards is a superstar...big difference
Since this performance, when I go to see the Stones, it's like watching 2 drunk uncles playing in a garage named Keith and Ronnie trying to keep it together, BUT THEY MANAGE!!! IM HAPPY.🎉
As stated previously...how is this guy still alive? How are all of them still alive? With all the heavy drug use, drinking, and whatever else they did over the years, they're still rockin'. More power to them. True resiliency at its best.
Peter Stroud is a killer guitarist........His CV reads Don Henley, Sheryl Crow & Sarah McLaughlin. He is a collector of vintage guitars & is blessed with a keen ear, great technique & outstanding groove.
that drummer is good and he's obviously having a blast playing with Keith! who wouldn't?..what a thing you could say...to be able to say "I played happy with the man"..wow..
originally voiced by the late great George Burns , at the age of 99 when visiting London was asked " is it good to be here" reply being "its good to be anywhere at my age"
Keith is cool, Sheryl is cool, Chrissie is cool. Not a mention of her here, but that is her playing and singing on stage left. Bass player got lost several times, but all were great!
@edge9090 - thanks for the info about Peter Stroud. Wondered what he was up to since Sheryl's new band. He's one of the very best guitar players I've ever heard/seen.

While he almost can't stand-up.. "Okay, I'll do it. Where's the airplane?"
He is music... modern day maestro

Ha, I was there too. It was awesome. It was cold that night. So cold we didn’t even tailgate. But Keith was hot that night.

Sheryl Crow and Keith Richards, classy mixed with laid-back cool. They are sounding simply amazing. They compliment each other perfectly.
Keith always looks like he could easily fit in with any band! Love him.
Keith is the band
Love watching the drummer. All smiles playing behind Keith!
This is his childhood dream becoming reality. I always come back to this video for the drummer.
"It's great to be here. It's great to be anywhere." Great line and since I'n not much younger than Keef, I feel the same.
Keith Richards: the vocal chords a million Marlboros couldn't kill. Great song.
Nobody has more fun playin' guitar than Keith.
How true....I love to see him as the front man
54WMD. Except for when h es out of time and playing with charlie watts and mick jagger. Except for this he usually has fun
Because Keith is so happy he's got a love to keep me happy too!

Lol I didn't notice that
21 years ago and IMHO this still rocks
Love how he's open to on-stage collaborations .
Keith is underappreciated as a singer, not a great voice but I like it, he fits the songs he sings so well, Little T&A is a perfect example
That and before they make me run …
But his best vocals are on “you got the silver”. A masterpiece
This is absolutely fantastic
A very good version of
one of the best songs ever written
by the best band on this planet
Sheryl ist great too
As Keith once said:
"Sheryl is a good girl"
One of a kind guitar player and performer. Never got enough of his live performances. The video’s of them at the Voodoo Lounge is amazing.
Was a Stone's fan in 1964 _ will always be !!
Yes sir
Fantastic female back up singer! Kudos. Lead portraying Mick. Moves, body yes. Voice nothing to write home about. Love a good tribute band.

Keith Richards is not even in same class as SRV. I'LL agree with song writing skills though

First time I saw a drummer use a tambourine as a drum stick....sounds good too
Thanks Keith! You make and keep me happy.😎🎶💋🇨🇦
Exile On Main Street has given the world the best entire body of work that the Rolling Stones have ever done.
Its awesome
Just read Keefs autobiography and it made me love him even more

Bloke_19xx and Mr B Wilson. God bless these guys
Alcohol and drug use are way overrated as to early death. My Dad drank 20 beers a day and lived to 90. And his liver was fine!!
Simple answer to all your questions - if ya wanna live - ya gonna live !
Thanks for this awesome footage! The greatest rhythm guitarist in the world. Thank god for open G tuning and Fender guitars!!
