..... always on the lookout for someone doing something new with a tarp. The odd layout of the mid-sheet tie-outs on your tarp makes your flying diamond and Guy rope setup pretty unique🤠👍. Your winged lean-to looks like an elevated, shallow, Baker tent....... again, something that I haven't seen before😎👍. Some good stuff there 🎥👏👏👏‼️
Nice work Jeff. Love the tarp wizardry and the dogs! And you are also a wizard with the ropes/ lines. That's the tricky part for me. Knots and stuff. Anyway, THANKS! Loved it.
Really like "The Cave"! I just picked up a 12x12 tarp and I think I'm gonna try that setup? So I'm new to tarp shelters and was wondering what's a good length for the guyout lines?
informative vid. thanks! seems like you would need to carry a lot of guyline for some of the pitches though and spend a fair amount of time ensuring the tarp is taut etc compared with a cut tarp a-frame pitch which goes up in no time and can be lowered for bad weather. what are your thoughts?
Just curious, do you use a bivy with your tarp? I just got an 8.5 foot square tarp, and haven't spent a night under during a rain storm. Looking forward to it though!
If mosquitoes are around, you will need to protect yourself from them. Depending on what Bivy Sack you are using, they help protect from the wind and moisture but the tarp shelter is keeping moisture off you.
MiniSix8 no, the little one is a rescue that is part pit and maybe shepherd and the big one is full pit bull. Good dogs but both are pretty much deaf - the little one because she was so horribly malnourished when a puppy before we got her and the big one because of he's getting old according to the vet

Do you mean a tarp like these two:

That cave looks good in a 9x9. I'm deciding on getting a 9x9 tarp or 10x10... Can you make an adirondak tarp setup with a 9x9 or do you need a 10x10?
Ernest Hemingway I have not tried that setup with this 9x9 tarp but I do not see why you couldnt make it work.

Which tarp is it? Can I find it in Amazon?
Last one is not Cave. Its Holden.
Nice dog, a Kelpie?
