In this video I played through Pokemon Scarlet for 24 hours straight. In this time I was able to complete the full story, and even have some time to shiny hunt! This was a very exhausting challenge
My channel generally focuses on a more casual side of speedruns. With these videos I want to show off cool speedruns, explain how they work, and entertain. Hopefully you enjoy the content and maybe even take up speedrunning yourself, because it is truly a lot of fun!

I wonder who actually likes Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and who is just playing it to never pick it up again?

@@generallyunimportant I have the game, there are few bugs and the game is one of, if not the best Pokémon games I’ve played in a while. Everyone is being a baby the game is fun the bugs are few and far between, I have already completed the dex

The end plot is not really that confusing at all. Sada made the AI to help her with her work, sada stopped the evil Koraidon from killing the good one but lost her life in the process so the robot ai was left behind to continue the work. In all the research labs on the way down to the bottom there are little books that give some insight into Sada and it helps fill in some blanks.

the game doesn't actually tell you where pokemon are, it tells you the pokemon that spawn in your general location
I do gotta tell ya about a glitch i hear a while ago that is perfect for speedrunning.
apparently if you have 2 controllers active and you move forwards on both you go faster than with 1 controller.
What about 3 controllers would it go EVEN faster m

It’s only use is in area zero and the first seconds of the game but it’s funny
Gotta say, my favorite part of the game so far was running with a bunch of Sunflora. It’s one of my favorite pokemon so the childlike energy and nostalgia i felt with a squad of 10 Sunflora running behind me really made me love this game

Cut story, boring fights, travel and unintresting scenery. Easy to cut 99% away but i need material to talk about. Okay we cut only 98,1944% should be enough

Now that I literally beat the game like an hour ago, I can watch pokemon videos without getting spoiled!!! This was the first one I chose!

Ima be honest I was playing violet, and thought that Scarlet would have a more thematically appropriate story considering all the robots
What has been pretty cool to see so far, is what order other people play the routes. Even if the Team Star and Titans are level set, you can have an easy time with the right Pokémon. I'm pretty basic and had 3 badges and 1 titan before I challenged the first Team Star Base. I did the Bug Gym 1st! I can't wait to see the speedrun routes for this!!!

22:30 BORING!? Well it's understandable if you chose to just walk. I just treated it like a Star Raid, sicking my mons on everything was in the way.
@ 8:30 have you tried Encounter power? Level 1 is so powerful that it will make rare pokemon show up as often as common pokemon do. Although for the fire pokemon you were looking for, there's plenty on the way to that bombadier titan.
Good job on the 24 hour time, I’d like to see how you can optimize the 24 hour speedrun in your future attempts!
So it doesn't seem like anyone's mentioned this, but the maps don't actually show the location of the pokemon near you, it just shows you WHICH KINDS of pokemon can be found in that area.
Of course you did this… well, at least I don’t have to look through Jaidenanimation’s current subathon to see what it is like to experience this, thanks for taking the time to make this video!
Eazy, don't do the shiny only run; you'll become a great grandfather before you can complete it.

It’s interesting you never found a shiny Pokémon. Perhaps you ran past them accidentally? I found three without even trying: a litleo, stunky, and sudowodo. For all three, I was doing something else and the color caught my eye, going wait do they always look like that?
In Postgame I started hunting but to get some level grinding during my journey I went grinding a Varoom outbreak... Boom, shiny. Then in Postgame I actually reset twice not to get a shiny, as I was severely disappointed (Shiny male salandit, twice) but at least I got my paradox Pokemon (Violet) all shiny :)
I found a full-odds Shiny Venonat less than three hours into the game.
I have 111 hours in the game and only found 1 shiny

@@Floof2 I haven't done any shiny hunting, I just happened to find 1 randomly, and I also don't have the shiny charm yet.

I love the dedication and your team which I think is 100% different from mine. Also shinys are hard in the game because there is no way of knowing one spawns, I just got lucky and found an odd color hoppin while walking

10:45 , with Nacli and it’s evolutions, it has an ability called with purifying salt, making it immune to any type of effect, so you could’ve just used it to deal damage to Atticus’ pokemon without getting poisoned!

The shiny thing is hilarious to me cause I literally found one within the first 10 minutes of playing the game

Similar case here; I found a shiny Psyduck while on my way to Mesagoza.
I also found a shiny flamingo(yes the Pokémon is called flamingo) randomly when I was grinding

Hey easyspeezy theres a weird glitch where if you connect multiple controllers to the switch and move at the same time in the same direction you move super fast 👀 speed run glitch run before it gets patch !

GG on beating the game. I got lucky and found a shiny Skiddo in like my second hour of the game. My first ever shiny Pokemon
My first shiny found via exploring (at least for this game) was an Iron Bundle… other wise a shinny Bunnary from Legends

I just discovered a new glitch in violet (maybe scarlet idk) if you drift but hold b after you just start drifting you can drift way longer now this by itself it doesn’t do much except look cooler but when doing this in bodies of water it starts to get funky I’ve had the most success with a pond in cortando hope someone finds something useful with this
Kinda wished they would make each Starmobile design (not just a change in color scheme) unique.
Due to the battle being short they only made the different design for each starmobile, but Pokémon isn’t always lazy for examples legends arceus there’s some actual difficult fight, including electrode.
I caught a shiny sandy ghast today! Just happened to pass by it while running a long the beach and it's odd coloration caught my eye.
same thing for a venonat I found! I saw the blue eyes (which is the only colour difference) out of the corner of my eye and thought to myself "aren't the eyes red?" and then realized it was a full-odds shiny. BONUS: it was less than three hours into the game

8:24 So, this is actually wrong, but the actual answer is worse because it probably won't get patched out. You see, the minimap does NOT tell you what Pokemon are around you. It tells you 4 random Pokemon that CAN spawn in the area that you are in.

you can increase the shiny odds of finding a shiny buizel if you make a sandwich that increases the encounter rate of water type pokemon and increases the shiny rate of water type pokemon

People who get shiny's are absolutely crazy. They literally have to time their gamestart to get a good "seed", count theirs steps, and on step 1077 if they have a Pidgey is their 3rd slot and talk to an NPC 6 times until you get a different dialogue screen, oh yeah he's only their at night and won't appear their unless you have him a PokeBall two towns back. Then this should increase your chances to 1 / 1044.444444

I’m pretty sure skeledirge is still better. While its signature move, *torch song* isn’t guaranteed to crit, it raises your skeledirge’s special attack (with every use). With just torch song, you can easily sweep with just a skeledirge. I even beat nemona’s lycanroc with skyburner (my skeledirge) and also kofu’s Tera water crabominable when my starter was a mere crocalor, also it kinda swept Larry in 5 turns while I was just using torch song.
At least you didn't use a fire type for the ice gym. Thats a good thing
