You guys should team up with tfl truck on UA-cam and outfit a duramax with all your parts and have them do their Eisenhower tunnel towing test. That would be a great real world test of your products that everyone could see. If Gale would ride with them and comment it would be awesome.
Kyle, you'll be interested to learn that we have teamed up with Andre and the team at TFL. They'll be utilizing iDash DataMonsters to capture and record data in their upcoming Ike Gauntlet and 1/4 mile tests. Stay tuned!
@@bankspower oh hell yeah lol
Hell ya! I would love to see a head to head test, all 3500s head to head stock, then with the Derringer tuner, NO bias towards one manufacturer or the other. I have a emissions legal tuned 06 ram that would smoke any stock.unit up a hill, and I'm sure that the tuner there from banks would eat anything stock right up.
@@bankspowersend the banks durmax and ram 3500 up to them for testing let’s see the temps speed timing and sound vs stock truck runs that they have already done. And let’s see the mpg loops
Please finish the 3.0 lm2 derringer we all have been waiting and anticipating it to launch. Please go back to 1/2 ton Chevy Silverado truck testing so we can enjoy banks products because you guys make the best on the market thank you! This is on behalf of all 3.0 DURAMAX owners
Patiently waiting for a Derringer for my 3.0 Duramax
Installed the pedal monster today, wow what a difference...
Great update on L5P, I'm waiting for the 22 L5P Dually exhaust to get developed. GM changed my exhaust angle so the previous year don't fit. I'm driving from east coast to CA to my Banks badge soon. My 22 dually has close to 70k miles already, so if I keep that as an avg annual I'think with the entire Banks kit plus good maintenance, I'm good until 2032.
Can't wait to get one for my 22 Ram 2500 6.7L! Just waiting for the email to say in stock order now.
I would like to see y'all team up with tfl truck and put everything to the test on the ike gauntlet vs a stock truck.
You'll be delighted to learn that we have indeed teamed up with Andre and the team at TFL Truck. They've recently used the iDash DataMonster in their Raptor R Ike Gauntlet test. We're also working on tests as you've described... stock vs Banks-outfitted trucks. Stay tuned!
Please keep 'em coming!
Just wanted to say that after watching this video It looks like Gale & his crew have hit another “ Home run” here with this one . I have one of the Original Banks 6 -gun Tuners with Speed -Loader & it’s on my ‘02 LB-7 Duramax since I purchased and installed it myself in October of ‘03 shortly after I purchased the truck . It’s been trouble free for almost 20 years now , and I have been using my rig for all purposes and could not be happier with it . Tunes are very noticeable from #1 position ( stock) all the way to #6 position ( 155 hp added according to original add back then with speed loader ) . I also added the Banks “ Big head “ waste-gate to turbo at same install along with mechanical boost Gauge and a Pyrometer to monitor things . Maximum boost runs to 28-29 psi with stock original Turbo, an S&B Intake & a 4” Stainless exhaust from “ Hog Engineering “ and an “ Airdog” 100 gpm lift pump. It’s been one of the Best vehicles I’ve EVER owned & consistently gets 15-17 mpg around town & 21-22 mpg out on open highway at freeway speeds . I can only imagine how well these new L5-P’s will do . Hopefully all the factory Emmision stuff on these newer rigs will not cause an early engine demise because in my case with my rig having almost “ Zero “ controls as was standard when first introduced back then my engine has had almost zero repairs ( Full set of injectors & 2 water pumps ) along with regular maintenance. Take care of your equipment & it will take care of you . Thanks Gale & team for making awesome products . 😎👍
Have same truck and six gun, exhaust, banks super scoop air intake, air horn, my tuck isf a federal emissions standard lb7 03. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Had to get a trans built Inglewood trans.🍺
Fan 8 feet away 4 sec dyno runs....Banks get em!!!
when will the tune for the 3.0L duramax will go out? Any news on the new refreshed 22.5-23 sierras/ silverados with the LM2/LZO?
I am still having trouble finding the IDash EGT temp settings on my 22 refresh.
Please get the 4th Gen Ram 2500 6.7L derringer.
I'm dying for it!

There are 2 gauges present in the double pod.
What was the 2nd gauge for ?
I am getting ready to order a derringer, a pedal monster, I dash, exhaust pipe, egr tubes, diff cover etc.
Now I’m wondering if I need 2 gauges or 1 ???
I'd love for something similar with the gas engine. It could sure use some help.
Can I add the Pedal Monster to an Aftermarket Tuner so I have better pedal response? I Already have a Tuned Cummins but I have the dead pedal feeling still.
when will we get the tunner for the 3.0
Are you guys planning on adding mazda to your list? Got a 24 cx90 phev that I would love your product on
I'm a HotShot owner and driver. I wish I could afford Banks stuff to save on fuel costs. Maybe one day.
I love the Banks products on my 2500HD! Did the guy really say he is going to tow an 18,000 lb trailer!? Only 3,500 lbs over weight. Unless I'm missing something or not understanding tow ratings..
Wouldn't that be dependent on tongue weight?
@ianspeckmaier9565 max towing is 14,500 according to GM specs
Max for V8 gas is 14.5. Max for Duramax is 18.5.
@ssmith363 OK, so I found a PDF with many different truck configurations. I had no idea they ranged so differently. I thought 14.5 was the max of the max. Now I'm going to have to go double check all my numbers. The only number I'm sure of now is my trailer and car weight. They total 6k. So i know I'm nowhere near my limit. But I will do further research! Thank you for setting me straight!
So if you can have both the Derringer and the pedal monster on one eye - why did he choose to have two? What is the benefit of having two of them?
Have you all compiled data to see what the mpg impacts are after these installs?
Love the details about power gains, pedal response, etc., but I’m also concerned with how to get best mpg possible. Assumption I have if able to get better power with same fuel consumption you’ll have better mpg, and maybe I missed it in video, but curious if any data.
The Derringer was designed to deliver power when you need it. It was not designed to increase fuel economy. Therefore, we do not advertise or test fuel economy gains. Fuel economy depends on many variables including how you drive and environment. Unlike other tuners that are guaranteed to reduce fuel economy because they add fuel only, Derringer maintains proper air-fuel ratio by matching boost air to added fuel. Inline tuners that claim to increase fuel economy are selling snake oil.
Thanks for info/reply.
Does any of this void the factory warranty? Also does it increase the top speed of the truck?
i'm here for the warranty question
I'LL TAKE THE LACK OF QUALIFIED RESPONSES AS A YES UR FKD ON WARRANTY. I HOPE ITS EASY TO UNINSTALL
Read guys. Not that difficult
How much better is fuel mileage while towing if you tow/haul 5k lbs
Hey guys. I just purchased everything you have ready for the 2024 L5P….. but the big question remains… when’s the derringer release date?
Wondering the same thing it would be nice to get a response
@@coryohanlan194 they said spring but it’s clearly not going to happen. I’d be surprised if it’s anything before Q4 2024 tbh.
When should they get the derringer for the 2918 Cummins I hope soon got everything else just need the Derringer to finish it off….
This guy goes in public with this hair every day… oh my gosh.😂😂
I dream this for my L5p
What about Powerstroke, when will it be available
does the derringer cause more soot buildup/regens 22 2500 hc duramax
Do these modifications mess with the factory warranty?
Just following for response…assuming yes.
Had this exact set-up on my 2019 6.6 Duramax. Has model for the 2024 6.6l been created yet?
PedalMonster and iDash are available now, Derringer is currently in development.
@Banks Power - I have a 2020 GMC Duramax 6.6 2500 HD and I want this exact setup. Where can I find a retailer/installer in Indianapolis, IN?
Please call our office, we'll find you someone. 626-969-9600.
When will the derringer be available in the 2.8l duramax?
No, it will not. After Gm axed the 2.8l, we stopped development.
Why does no one ever talk about warranty voids? . Example: why i need to do when going back fpr dealership service, is just unplugging everything ok? Or could my dealership say sorry we see it here, its no warrantied ?
The dealership cannot tell that Derringer or PedalMonster was present on the truck after its removal. The Derringer is an inline tuner that is "in-line" or in series with your FRP (fuel rail pressure) and MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensors. Unlike a flash tuner that writes to the trucks ECU and TCM, the Derringer can be removed in under ten minutes and leaves no footprint in the factory computer. It's the same with the PedalMonster. The PedalMonster intercepts signals from your pedal and alters them before sending them to the vehicle's computer.

Yeah, but the dealer can see the increased fuel pressure in line. I’m sure.
At that price, idash should use Bluetooth so that no wire is needed.
So if the "tuner" is an "in line" tuner, it actually will not add any horse power and will only give you power sooner correct? I would love to see a dyno pull on a 24 l5p stock vs level 6 on the tuner. very interested. thank you
Both Derringer and PedalMonster are doing two different jobs. The Derringer is adding power. It does this via and OBD-II connected inline tuner that connects to the fuel rail pressure sensor (FRP) and manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) to increase fuel and boost to provide more horsepower and torque. PedalMonster, in basic terms, changes the pedal position in relation to the throttle to get rid of that mushy feel.
At the moment, we are currently developing the Derringer for the 2024+ trucks.
@@bankspower I would love to know an approx gain of HP/TQ over stock via using the Derringer. I have my email down for the waiting list for 24. Would like to know some factual numbers before purchasing, thank you 🙏🏻
We'll provide the numbers for the 2024 L5P Derringer once we have it ready to launch. Currently the 20-23 makes 81hp/144tq.
@@bankspower that’s awesome and totally respectable! I can’t wait till it comes out for the 24’ I will order asap! Thank you!
How can you tow a 18k 40ft fifth wheel with the camper shell?
There’s a port thru the shell
How much for this set up
Hey guys. How long can you keep your Deringer at level 6 pulling heavy loads?
You can run Derringer in level 6 as long as you like. Derringer is programmed to withdraw its added power at the same EGTs and ECTs as the truck’s ECM. In other words, it’s designed to protect the engine. The only reason that we recommend running the Derringer in lower levels when towing is for fuel economy.
The pedal monster is the biggest gimmick I’ve ever seen and I’m surprised banks put his name on it, it doesn’t add any power it just gives you a twitchy pedal that is useless in snow and ice or other such poor traction situations where pedal modulation is the key to traction
I was only able to use on low settings on my LZ0, made trans twitchy after thousands of miles on it. I ended up removing.
Did anyone tell Banks about that Hagerty dyno segment with the blown pontiac?
Didn't catch that one. We'll find and watch it.
My only concern is that this mod will void your new truck warranty with GM. GM will use any excuses they can to void your warranty,
🇨🇦
He didn't even really get on. Weak
