Just gonna leave this comment here and point out that in OW1 positioning and game sense meant so much more, that cheaters rarely had a chance of winning in higher ranks...
tbf the cheater didnt even push the cart past the first point both matches, id say that rule still applies

its still like this a lot of the time, i run into cheaters every day in metal ranks, most of them are just so awful that unless you actually sat there watching each kill-cam you'd never actually know they were cheating lmao
I hated the bullet hitbox changes for two reasons:
1. Reduction of mechanical skill expression on aim intensive heroes and an even lower aim requirement for non aim intensive heroes.
2. Hacking software will have a field day staying undetected (unless it's blatantly obvious, like spinbotting) because the snap to the head or body isn't as easy to notice when the bullets are bigger in addition to larger hiboxes for a fps game standard. Any sophisticated aimbot will look very normal to an untrained eye, especially in lower ranks where the cheater won't have a different "tell" like positioning, movement and crosshair placement.
Wow, didn't think of that. They actually helped cheating softwares. Congrats blizzard, now the Xbox showcase hiding Overwatch 2 in the closet like some embarrassing cousin makes sense.
There's also the fact that solo kill potential isn't there as much anymore really in many cases, the things that used to be "balanced because they were stationary" like mercy res or orisa ult now are almost impossible to do anything against because of the inflated HP pools.
I dfucking agree back then mccree hitting head was cheating or pine levels right not you can't tell because I feel anything up 1/3 of character model is headshot

I do find it funny that the streamers think they know everyone that is "good" at the game lol. If they don't know someone that is crapping on them, then the person is instantly a suspect. You can def hear footsteps thru that wall, and know exactly where tracer ran off to.
But, that being said, I still think this soldier was cheating lol.

@@JBMetalProductions brother if you're hanging out in top 500 ranks you're bound to know most of the people in the lobby unless you have an IQ of 70 and cant remember names and profiles. These people spend a third of their day daily grinding, anyone "good" is 1% a new kid to the block or 99% cheating, it's just the truth. Also that push into the chapel was blatant walls, brother was laser focused on the left side and instantly fired (as if he had walls, because he had) lol.

playing overwatch is like living in a really nice house but its full of termites. you live in the house because its a nice house but your forced to watch these termites eat away at it and ruin it slowly but surely day by day but the landlord just ignore some of the termites and add more termite to other places meanwhile some roomates are trying to tell you the termites will never leave so just let them stay

Probably true. And maybe WoW, could see them being interested in that brand as well since it's still doing well enough. I've quit OW by now, going to stay that way until things seriously change. Which I doubt will happen.

my friend unfortunately cheated "for fun" last time. which i think is cringe. but anyway, what i wanted to say is, he got banned after 3 DAYS, with wallhacks, enemy ult charge, enemy health bars, aimbot, triggerbot, while being reported in every single game, and called out in every single game. it took them 3 days to ban a 100% aimbotting cheater. its sad.

just this week i had the same cheater in 3 different games. all three games they get called out after first team fight. minimum 5 reports per game and still not banned 😑
Blizz made it so only one report matters per game.

The cheating has gotten worse and worse with every season. It's been going on for a long while now. I actually reported this very same account a week or two ago. Now he's worked his way all the way up to top 500. SMH

I’ve been playing against the same cheater for weeks in DIAMOND and he’s still not banned yet. Just because he doesn’t have a blatant spinbot, people think he just has good aim. My guy is running around with top500 level aim but dying to simple things like dva bomb, and people still think he is legit.
Even in plat/dia there's been so many cheaters with kinda OK cheats. Like not stupid rage but still obv. There has to be some free trial or discount on cheats, and DM team is on vaykay 😂

@smartguyjaja sure, but not everyone knows how to. But cheat providers are known to have free trial weeks tho, and you can definitely know when that is by playing ranked

literally i got banned on two accounts one of which i didnt even swear on. the cheating problem is so bad because blizzard is banning their entire community for saying no no words while keeping these silent cheaters in the game. It wont be long until every match is basically just bot v bot lobbies.

had a guy cheating on phara in Masters range, dude didnt miss a single misile on less than 10m, got double tabbed every single time and I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME. Got flamed by my team just to have him on my team next round and the enemy calling him out this time... blatant cheating problem rn. If you have a private profile, streamer mode, that is insane on hitscan type player in your game, just report them, about a 95% chance that they are cheating. For like 3 weeks now there are some new players that should be top100 dps, that are anywhere between low masters and gm that dont miss and have 0 gamesense, it is ridiculous, I hope the devs are already onto that cheat.
i ran into a widow in masters that i was 99% sure was cheating but did a decent job hiding it. never missed a shot. had my team gaslighting me that they're "hitting normal shots." I ended up reporting the guy and what do you know the next day i get a notification that my report was successful.

He has a human like aimbot with low fov. They have aim cheats now that are indistinguishable from real aim. Really common in warzone. You can select headshot percentage, torso, and limb shot percentage.
It's not just high ranked games either... metal ranks & QP are seeing them too.

I was playing with a friend the other day and he shouts out "their reaper is cheating" I laughed as I assumed he was joking and he goes no I'm serious, get killed by him and watch a replay, later on in the game I did get killed by him. I was not dissapointed.
This dude was full on locking on to any head that came remotely close to his field of view, tracking the head perfectly in between the shots of reaper, usually from significant range so he was kind of useless... and quite amusingly he kept perfectly tracking my friend, whilst invis on sombra
The aim lock didn't even turn off when he was in wraith form
We won the game because he was honestly bronze in all aspects apart from his godlike aim but yeah, it was funny.
Making sure people aren’t hacking in your triple A, multiplayer only game should be priority number one when you’re a game developer.
Im currently platinum DPS and i also encounter cheaters here and there. Not a lot but maybe 1 every 20-30 games?
Just got out of a game with a mercy-pocketed Widow (lvl 1 endorsement private profile, no skins) who was clicking heads on everyone and as soon as she got low the Mercy would pop Valk (lvl 5 endorsement Mercy with mythic btw) and would be nano'd on cooldown by their Ana (also lvl 1 endorsement private profile, no skins). Their positioning was terrible, their gamesense was terrible and they tried to 1v1 a bastion in turret form. But they kept being bailed out.
It was so obvious they were cheating but their entire team was protecting them. In QuickPlay. Is this how bad the game's gotten with "take QP seriously"? Because you're penalised for leaving games like that and the other team is going "it's just QP bro" when you call out how obvious they're being.

Yeah man, I have ran into 6 cheaters in the last 2 days. No longer interested in playing this game until they fix the issue. Their balancing to allow an aimlocking cree to 2-tap people is beyond out to lunch. I quit playing Ark for the same reason. Very embarrassing for such a large studio to allow this to run rampant.
I had the most consistent, inconsistent Widow in a 4 stack who would have 90-100% tracking getting hs kills back to back, pre-aiming, getting info where she has none who would then lose every time in a 1v1 against a Kiri barely strafing for an entire match & she still lost.

Hey uncle Sam, this might be the Chinese server issue. Blizzard is coming back to china but ow2 still need a few month to open server. So Chinese players come back to the game and play on other servers. And average Chinese players just love to cheat(I’m Chinese btw).
Maybe you should try Taiwan server, which is our most played server, and above master rank there are cheaters 3 out of 5 games😢

There’s (Europe region) a well-known triggerboting cheater MOMMY69 playing 90% Widowmaker, and 10% Hanzo who I have both reported and blocked but still isn’t banned or not even blocked from my matches! WHY!? Even if the devs are hell-bent on keeping her even she’s obviously a triggerboting cheater, at least BLOCK HER OUT OF MY MATCHES COS SHE’S DESTROYING AND THE LAST SHRED OF FAIRPLAY THIS GAME HAS LEFT!

Idc if hes cheating or not, all the shots he was doing like pre firing and stuff is what i do in my games. I use sound ques. And a lot of the stuff where people like to point their attention at is when it looks like theyre looking through wall at you, i think thats a shit point because sometimes we just be looking directly where the conflict is but we can see team outlines. Also we tend to pre look specific direction escpecially when we HEAR stuff. But to you guys it looks sus because you can see whats behind the walls in replay viewers. Im not defending cheaters, I just think we should either bring obvious proof or look differently at it. A lot of people do the look through wall thing. Also the shooting through the bush thing, bushes dont render in low settings.
A GM player doesn’t randomly downgrade to plat game sense when playing a character they’re unfamiliar with.

Sam knows about sound cues my guy, lol. There's plenty of times when he'll go "how'd he know?" and then in the kill cam/replay note the sound cue. And do you think he doesn't know what legitimate prefiring vs walling prefiring looks like? When Soldier prefires Sam as Tracer in the church, he knows *exactly* where Sam is, and importantly Sam is not in the corner where you can use game sense to narrow it down, but rather actively starting to peek from left-middle of the church, while all the sound cues scream to the Soldier to look behind you at the Ball coming to shoot you in the back.
And note that he was shooting the Ball through the two *palm trees*, which are certainly rendered on low (just doublechecked as well, and there's zero visibility there), and importantly tracking his movement while not being able to see him.
Sometimes your game sense combines with luck to get you a good read of a situation, but when it happens many times a game, it's clear there's something else going on.
@@Aurora12488 first, im talking about the souj on busan. when he said bushes I'd assume he meant bushes not trees so my bad on that I guess? But I disagree with the last part. I mean the souj said it himself, Sam went there almost every time, it just looks really bad in hind sight. Plus I've personally done the same thing a few times and have also been accused of cheating once which is why im standing my ground on this. Besides that last part every other time was mildly bad looking IN HINDSIGHT. Also about the sound cues. I know he knows, but sometimes I can't tell if he's so mald that he dosent care or what but sometimes he just says "whyd he do that" when it was obvious why or just insta reports. But even with the soldier. A lot of the time he was most likely getting pinged. And I'm not gonna go back and skim through cuz its late but pre firing walls is also something I do 24/7 when I know someone is there somewhere because it's good to have the initiative just in case the early peak me from wherever they are, idk if that's a sound argument for what you were talking about in the church but don't wanna go back and look rn

I have 0 empathy for sellout blizz shills career being threatened by cheaters. I would sympatize with innocent players, however overwatch is both handled badly and fundamentaly flawed in its basic design by seeking "diversity" at literary any cost leading to eternal problems in shooter game design. (And dont think that the ESG initiative money and hidden agendas isn't the major parts of why companise pander)

It's crazy that all these creators are addressing hackers and the lack of response while I get banned for hacking and I've never done anything of the sort.
To be entirely fair, pretty sure the visibility through trees depends on your graphics setting.
Also, just because somebody is bad on other characters doesn't mean they're cheating, could just be a one trick.

@@bootoo but his complaint wasn't related to game sense, he was saying he didn't know how to fly with echo or dive targets as Sombra, those aren't game sense related issues, those are mechanical issues.
