**Review** video is very great! I got this system on Thursday and installed it Saturday on the 24 Road Glide. Video doesn't do it justice with how loud it really is. Everyone tells me they can hear the audio a block away and we could have a block party with it lol. I will say usb media seems to be louder than Bluetooth. I did set the bikes EQ to Bass at 0 and max out trebble and adjust the mids accordingly. Thanks so much for this Jay.
@volunteeraudio I installed the Hertz 6.5 SX165NEO upper fairing speakers with the Kenwood XM160-2 Amp…..It sounds absolutely amazing. It is so clear and loud. The installation video was on point and made the install super easy and helpful. I will be posting a review video soon. I am a very pleased and happy customer. Thank you Jay and Volunteer Audio
For anyone on the fence, this is totally worth it! I got the hertz speaker setup with mine. After installing it I I went on a ride to test it out. I could hear my music going 90+, and it wasn't even up all the way!!!! (I'm running a 12" sport klockwerks on my 24 RG which helps as well) My stock speakers with the klockwerks barely could be heard at anything at or above 65mph. I'll probably want that A2B amp eventually, but this setup will keep my happy for quite awhile!
Im on the fence between the kenwood speakers and the hertz speakers. Does this kenwood amp have the power to get the full potential out of these hertz speakers?
@fuirous403 The hertz neos is a big upgrade over stock, but no, you won't get full power. He just launched the full herrtz 1000W amp and the speakers sound much better/louder as they can be utilized fully.
Just ordered the amp yesterday as I already have the Hertz Neo speakers. Have watched the video twice and can't wait to get this to install. Stock just plain sucks! Great video tutorial and love that you make this available as an option over spending $1000s just to be able to hear music while riding.
I installed this system on my 2024 Street Glide. WOW! Before I couldn’t hear the music above 40 mph, now I have to turn it down. Awesome set up. Thanks
Normally don’t take the time to provide a review, but I am very happy with this upgrade. I already had the Hertz front speakers installed and adding this amp is 100% better than stock. Went on a 500 mile ride this weekend and had no problem hear the music at highway speed. Wind was even blowing at 20+ mph on Saturday. My buddy upgraded his with the Harley 500 watt amp and speakers and Jay’s set up is louder. Great video for the install and had no problems. Could it be louder, sure what couldn’t. But, I am really happy with it and given that thought I would let everyone know. I have the stock windshield on. A little taller one will only enjoy the listening experience. So like others have said, if you’re on the fence about getting this do it. You won’t be disappointed.
Video was awesome and a huge help… Jay makes it look simple! Which it really is, but it still took me about 3 hours to install. Sound is great. I can actually hear my radio now!
I just installed mine tonight with the Kenwood rear speakers! Man, what an improvement! Thank you so much for the install video! This was the easiest stereo install I've ever done and I've installed several stereos. It was nice having such a plug n play system with an actual install video that was good!
Great video Jay, but Harley is definitely making it easier to choose, as in buying an older bike instead of washing money on newer bike. I shouldn't be spending 30k with a horrible radio 😂
I just placed an order for the Hertz upgraded low cost option. I run a custom Harley shop in Illinois and am going to use it on my bike as a demo. I had a 4 speaker cicada setup on my previous bike, and loved it BUT it hoping this will be a great lower cost option and still be better than stock. I can’t stand the stock sound. Great video for stereo upgrades on the 24. The factory wiring to the existing amp is supposedly sufficient for the 500W Fosgate upgrade amp. Why don't you tap into the existing fairing power wiring (posi-tap) so you don't have to remove the tank and add new power cables?

I am just curious if you are still making the modified Kenwood XM160-2 amps and if so, when will they be back in stock? I am looking to purchase the Herz Low cost. Thank you!
Awesome video Jay. I see that the amps are sold out. One thing I am confused (forgive me my ignorance) why the mod is needed with the blue wire if the Kenwood amp has it's own power supplied from the battery? Thanks.
The modification is for the amp to turn on, the stock amp is not powerful enough to auto dc turn on the new amplifier, we sold so many that Kenwood is sold out of amplifiers
Hello Jay, this is Darryl. I bought your plug and play for the 24 road. Glide Harley Davidson and I just wanna know if the Hertz speakers hookup the same as the Ken would speakers. Thank you.
I just bought this system with the Hertz speakers. If we want to add bag speakers later, will this amp handle it? Or will I have to change the amp out?

The Kenwood modified version sounds better than the stage 2 fairing only system, the hertz system using our a2b interface has 3 times the power and much better clarity than the stage 3, absolutely blows it away. Watch our walk away and riding footage videos we have recently posted
You preset the gain for that amp with the Kenwood speakers. Will the gain adjustment be the same for the Hertz neos? Or should I inform you when I order the amp that it will be paired with Hertz neos?
The gain setting is for the matching to the factory amp, input sensitivity, there are 2 recommended eq settings, one for the kenwood speakers and one for the hertz
I have a '24 Street Glide with stock basic amp. I've upgraded the speakers to the Hertz Neo and done the rubber sound deadening matting to the speaker enclosures. This has made the world of difference, the sound deadening completely changes the sound to a nice thick solid tone, with lots of projection, amazing really. I can't get the Kenwood MX160-2 amp here in the UK and the cost is prohibitive (Import tax/VAT) to buy it from USA. I can get the Hertz 4.500 or 4.900 here though. Would you ship your new A2B cable for the 4.900 to me in UK when it comes out? (do you have a date?)? Another question I have is, as the 4.500 is smaller, would this fit under the fairing as a piggy back amp on the stock amp? If not would it work as a replacement amp with your cable? I currently only have fairing speakers so would be probably be enough for what I want.
We are only going to offer our a2b amp interface as a plug n play package including the sp4.900 amplifier. This allows us to perfectly tune the amp for the interfaces built in DSP.

Im talking about on the speaker itself. The wires that come from the speaker housing had a white and black connector. The smaller of the two does not fit on the metal male connector on the Kenwood speaker itself
Plug n play does not ever mean “no disassembly required” it does mean that it plugs into factory harnesses and when you buy from volunteer audio all amp gains and filters are properly set for easy installation. The factory never runs large enough power and ground wiring into the fairing to support powerful amplifiers. In all years of Harley Davidson you would need to run larger wiring from the battery to your new amp.

Anytime you keep the factory amp in place you will get some floor noise, with this setup it is very minimal. Not audible unless you hold your ear to the tweeter while muted.
Many are confused and think the media slider in the menu is a magic volume slider, it is only a visual of the current volume level that was selected with your thumb controls, leave the screen, raise volume by thumb controls and relook at it.
quick question why didn't you just show how to run the speaker wires to the bag's while you where in there, so people do not have to take stuff apart twice ? also how do you get rid of the nasty dirty nose from the amp with out a dsp? seems all your doing is doing a high level input ..
They are not getting rid of nasty noise with a DSP, the stock 500 watt amp has rediculous floor noise when amplifying after but the 200 watt is as clean as the previous gts radio so yes we can high level after but this specific amp also has built in filters to correct the crazy bass boost from the factory
again it's funny how you had ran the wires back " was going to see if you would fess up to it when i called you out " you said those would be on another video.. meaning what i said people would have to tare apart everything again .
You probably wouldn't need one. The unit has alot equalization to play with. Besides processors are for high end audio inside a vehicle where sound quality matters the most.
This is actually a very simple installation if you follow our step by step video, very basic hand tools. But if you are not comfortable doing it we offer installation services
It’s not a competition between other shops, there are many good shops and we know there is plenty of work for everyone, we take over 400 calls each day and get asked about other methods that people are trying to do. Many are the wrong way because they don’t understand the complexity of the new systems and the limitations of the skyline radio. We are only trying to educate the public on the correct methods and what you don’t want to do to save people from throwing away money or damaging their new Harley. I use our channel to address the common questions we get through out each week of speaking with thousands of people about Harley audio.
@@polo_da_great_BDN it will not, we also have our a2b solution that digitally communicates with the stock radio. We do not cut any wiring or modify the bike to upgrade the audio

How can I order?
Call 1-844-30AUDIO or purchase on our site, we will be adding more amp inventory later today

Do you need a processor?
You probably wouldn't need one. The unit has alot equalization to play with. Besides processors are for high end audio inside a vehicle where sound quality matters the most.
No you do not for this system

Rockford has become Rockwood.
Or maybe Rockville
Why is it a competition between shops? You say the other guys etc, let others do them
It’s not a competition between other shops, there are many good shops and we know there is plenty of work for everyone, we take over 400 calls each day and get asked about other methods that people are trying to do.
Does that factor 12 pin need to be plugged back up, the one that you tapped into, where does that go to
$1K for an amp and 2 speakers shaa right !
We have an option under $800 and we have premium options at higher prices too
Seems like this will void my warranty
@@polo_da_great_BDN it will not, we also have our a2b solution that digitally communicates with the stock radio. We do not cut any wiring or modify the bike to upgrade the audio
Nope im paying someone to do this.. this bike cost too much..
We can do the install too
Will this produce enough power if I want to add saddle bag speakers? I noticed you said only a two channel. So how would I make it work for 4 speakers?
This only powers 2 speakers, you can not add rear speakers without adding an additional or different amplifier
