They made the lids lighter to save weight but they are still extremely durable. They made them more flexible so when you over pack your bag, the lid will still close. I talked to Harley DIRECTLY regarding this.
Enjoy your videos and here is your chuckle for the day. Have ridden HS for the past 20 years and just bought a BMW 1250 GS as a second ride. Did not have to buy tuners, windshields, suspension, exhaust or anything else. And by the way, this thing blows an HD off the road haha!!!! Makes riding fun and exciting again with the versatility. Ride safe!!!!!!!
I put driver's floorboard extensions on my Street Glide, I love them. My leg doesn't rub my air cleaner anymore. It's just more comfortable all around.
I have the 23.5 CVO . I never tried the nav , I added a CarPlay device and use Waze . I love the new bike . I really wasn’t looking to buy one , but Harley made me an offer I couldn’t refuse and traded in my RG ST for it . Keep the vids coming
Dude, I love your videos. I swear, I learn something every time I watch one. I just picked up mine in June. Haven't had an opportunity yet to put as many miles as I'd like. Pretty soon I hope. I'm 6' tall, so not as tall as you , but I put a Klock Werkz 13.5 windshield on it, and I'm really not happy with it at all. Doesn't look great for one, and I'm getting more wind buffetting than I had with the original! I tried a couple things, with wind deflectors and moving them up an down. It helped a little, but I'm taking the windshield off. There's $275+ down the drain. I'll stick it on ebay or something. Waiting to see your video when you get that shorter Klock Werkz. Anyway, I love the bike, as I can see you do too! Stay safe buddy! I'd love to ride with you sometime!
Tall: check out the CIRO foot pegs that attach directly to the floor boards. Come in black and chrome. I have them on my 2020 SGS. Fabulous; well made and very adjustable.
Brother I love your videos. I'm a new rider. Been riding since April this year. Learned alot from you before and after I took the class at HD in Maryville. I live in Oak Ridge. Just outside of Knoxville. Hope that I get a chance to meet you one day. I have a 2019 street bob.
Congratulations on the new bike. I usually start my rides from Bootlegger Harley-Davidson. You are welcome to ride with me. I'll try to give a heads up the next small group ride I do.
@@TravelingTall I'll be coming back down after being there in July. Stayed in Pigeon Forge and will not do that again. Any recommendations around Maryville? Hammer @ Smoky HD mentioned a place but I forget the name. I'll be back down around this time next year, July was crazy hot lol. I'm 5 hours south from New Brunswick, so I am not use to the high heat.
If you dont even use the radio you might as well be running some TAB Performance Bam Sticks with Zombie Baffles for that real Harley sound and feel. I turn heads on my road glide now from a half mile away.
Whew! I thought I was the only one, squirming at about 70 miles. The tailbone gets me. I have the DDL saddle, and it helps, but the ergos for us tall boys could be better. (6"3, and long legs)
Also talking about the “wobble” it did happen with my 24 road glide once. High speed in a long lazy curve on the interstate. When it happened I couldn’t believe it, I mean brand new bike and all. The only thing I had changed at the point was a taller windshield and I really believe that’s what caused it. It was more of a “javlin” feeling as I call it. Anyway I took that windshield off and it never happened again.
The riding position is not too comfortable...If you are bigger than 6 Ft. tall the Indian challenger & pursuit is more suitable for those riders. Although the bike looks great.
Thanks for the honest and transparent review, Tall brotha. Decided I gotta have that suspension, front and rear, but on the Street Glide. I’ma huge fan of Rineharts and lower fairings, hope those are still possible options on ‘24 and later models.
That bike looks awesome!! Also, Those wheels look 100x better than the stock ones. LePera Tailwhip seat must be comfortable, that’s the 2nd or 3rd bike you’ve used that seat on, correct?… Anyways, great review, rad bike! 🤘🏼 Safe travels, sir!…. Well, I reckon I should’ve watched more of the video before commenting 😂
The VVT cover can be removed from your bike if it’s too bothersome. According to Kreusi Originals, On the non-VVT bikes the vvt cover is like the points cover on the previous generation bikes.
Tall I have tried different suspension on my 2015 RG and finally settled with Ohlins front and back. I would have saved $’s if I had selected Ohlins first!
Hello, Tall. Have you considered putting floorboard spacers on your Road Glide to get your right foot away from the air cleaner and the VHT cam cover? I put the 1.5" spacers on my 2020 Road Glide Limited and really like them. Keep the great videos coming. Thanks, Bill Libby.
Hi Tall, I’d love to hear your input on the new tank. It looks a little chopped up from the side view, and I’m not a fan of that gas cap, looks like a “yamakazi” sports bike.
Great video Tall have you ever tried the cramp buster throttle assist, to me it works really good out on the highway just let my hand reset while cruising down the highway
Do a video with your phone showing engine temps. I have pro street tuner and I connect my phone to the tuner and watch my engine temps. I live in South west Florida it’s super hot. My tuner is showing my temps hitting as high as 350 degrees on my 2023 street glide with the 107 I was shocked that the 107 with a stage one runs that hot. Anyway would make a great video. Thanks Tall!
Surely some on has made an engine that accepts lower by now? If they haven't, they should. It would be interesting in see how they look on the new bikes.
Tall, how can the handling be "miles in front of the 2023" when they have the same Ohlins suspension, same frame, same seat, similar motor, same transmission, etc??? Are you talking in stock form??? Because I feel my 23 street glide ST with Ohlins front and back is just as good handling as any new 2024 street glide in stock form.
What Indian comes with Ohlins? Far as I know none. Ohlins are an upgrade to the stock suspension. The new Harley suspension is good, but I wanted something better. Just like Indian, their suspension is good, but the Indian race team wanted something better, so they got Ohlins. The difference between Harley-Davidson and Indian is when I want to upgrade my bike, there are a ton of options to make it however I want. If I want to upgrade my suspension on my Indian to the same suspension that they have on their race bike, I can't.
@@TravelingTall -122hp/128tq stock out of the gate I talking overall mods and bang for the buck but yes Fox Racing makes the electronically adjustable rear suspension as a stock mod that comes available with the bike, when you purchase it. Which the company has a long history of making suspensions but lets talk about this 105 HP or the fact it was just cheaper getting a cvo lol. We all know you Harley Davidson, UA-cam ambassadors won’t give a honest opinion of the 2024 bikes just like everyone seems to forget about the 2023 VTT and all that “greatest this and that talk”… but pepperidge Farm does 😂
Just my opinion and to each their own but Indian’s race team may have wanted more but that’s probably because they are riding the bike at its full potential. To me on Harley you almost need to upgrade suspension but in the Indian you don’t need to upgrade it. I’m not racing my Harley or Indian but for regular or long distance riding the Harley needs the suspension upgrade and my Indian doesn’t.
Lol, you should watch a couple more videos on my channel to see the 2022 Indian Dark Horse Pursuit that I rode from California to Tennessee in 57 hours with two back to back 1000 mile days. I don't fall for all the hype from any company, I have to experience it for myself. I found some good things about it and I found somethings that need to be improved. By the way the 108 Power Plus does not make 122/128 at the rear wheel it makes 106HP and 119 Torque.
this is my opinion. this bike looks like an old bike. the front that holds the lights doesn't seem to be original. seems after market. i know i know im crazy but it is me
It doesn’t look good though. It has nowhere near the road presence of the previous model. I like both. The older one gets more comments from non Harley riders. Maybe because of the black and chrome. The new one gets more compliments from people who have Harleys. I don't know the reason behind that, but I like them both.

you can buy floor board spacers in 3/4" , 1" , 11/4" to move ur boards away from the engine and I think its a very good ,comfortable 25 bucks worth
I’ve hand calculated 48.5 mpg on mine

Surely some on has made an engine that accepts lower by now? If they haven't, they should. It would be interesting in see how they look on the new bikes.
With all these mods its over $45k. That is nuts
It’s cool that he maxes out the performance options so we see what’s available, but yeah costly.

any problems hitting your knee into the larger air cleaner?
