Robin is known for transitioning from really upbeat to slow and bluesie....he still is a great guitarist.😊
Robin is the real deal! A true bluesman still working at it today. He's almost 80 years old and can still rock out with the best. Peace!😊
The great James Dewar on vocals .. The entire album is an absolute masterpiece
💯% certifiable banger album. Nothing but net! Play the whole thing from end to end in one sitting and you will see God! 🙂
70's rocker!
Robin still making music. His latest album came out last year No more world to conquer amazing album
He’s got a new one already out this year called Joyful Sky
Robin Trower was my first real concert back in December 76 - one of the best nights of my life. I was so damn excited after the show I practically flew the 100 miles home...
Saw Robin play this in 1974 Erie, Pa. Went to the after concert party, had a few beers and smoked a joint with Robin. We laughed heartily, lol.
Robin Trow-er, great guitarist. and James Dewar's voice is like whiskey soaked silk.
Play ALL the Trower you can find! (yeah, there's no h)
This one smokes! And James Dewar's vocals are a special kind of soulful.
One of my favorite Trower songs.
Trower
Great voice too. Can't neglect that contribution to the music of Robin Trower
After all these years, including learning and playing the song in a band, always thought the lyric was, "...day of the eagle, the eagle of... love." Never did pay too close attention to the lyrics back then - they were often intentionally fuzzy anyway.
One of the all-time best rock songs......should be much better known. But you got it, Biz -- hats off to you.
You're review choices are off the beaten path. I appreciate that.
I'm a Trower freak! I have been thinking about offering you some suggestions for Trower. If you ever do a full album review In City Dreams is great, but so is Bridge of Sighs, Long Misty Days and Twice Removed From Yesterday. I hope you can take a dive! ✌️❤️🤘🥁
This one got some serious play back in the day. Played loud and proud.
This song was THE song played every time we went for a morning surf in the 70's.
1st album I ever bought was an LP of "Robin Trower Live" in 1975. Recommend it to all.
I love that album!!!
Yes indeed! Still rocking original vinyl. Even the cover art from the arena stage is badass. 🍻
I have it to.it’s awesome.
One of the great blues rockers. At times underrated, which is ridiculous. Used to be with Procol Harum. He came a long way.
LOTS more great Robin Trower -- try "Gonna Be More Suspicious", "King of the Dance", "River", "SMO", "Same Rain Falls". Also from his years with the singer of Cream, Jack Bruce, thie group BLT try "Little Boy Lost".
First off Biz... Let's get this legendary man's name right. Think "Truck " and say "Tr -ower:) Trower:) The man and his band and his secret weapon ..vocalist/bassist James Dwar( Do...er). This album is a desert island album. If you could only take so many, this would be one of the first ones you would take. You just don't know that yet. But, you will:) Even the slow songs are priceless. Every song on this is a gift . Truly! Peace out.
Dewar.
Great review. I think my favorite lyric of Robins is "A drowning man gets no wetter. The same rain falls on me that falls on you"
This is the song we played on Friday, payday, day of the Eagle $$$
A staple in my house. 😊
Playlist🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey Bis! My bad! I thought I was subscribed this whole time. 😅 I am Subscribed now! Keep on Rockin!✌🏾
Thanks for subbing!
Robin Trower "I Can't Wait much Longer" track 1 from their first album Twice Removed from Yesterday such a killer song.
Here's More, Spellbound, Althea, Long Misty Days, Caledonia There Ya Go My Friend😊
Robin Thrower. lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell, they're all great!
As a whole, one of the best albums ever! Was just listening to it a couple of days ago. We have the CD in the car for road trips. The drums are killer! By the way, there is no h in Trower. We saw him back in the late 80's and he did not disappoint! I would suggest the title song "Bridge of Sighs" and "About To Begin"
Go Robin Go!
Would’ve loved to see this guy live
Robin is still around
HEYYYYYYY!!! LMAO 😊ARE YOU CONVINCED? 👍ROBIN WAS SUCH AN AMAZINGGGG GUITARIST BIZ😊, JUST LISTEN TO THAT THING! AND AGAIN, JUST ONE OF THOSE INCREDIBLYYYY GREAT 3 MAN ROCK BANDS! R.I.P. ☹TO HIS BASSIST AND VOCALIST ( JAMES DEWAR ) MORE TROWER HUH MY FRIEND? I CAN'T MUCH LONGER, ALTHEA, FOOL AND ME, CALEDONIA, WELL THERE'S 4 FROM 4 DIFFERENT ALBUMS BIZ, HAPPIEST OF HOLIDAYS TO YOU & YOURS AND KEEP HAPPY AND ENJOYYYY, MANYYYYY BLESSINGS!😊
IS an amazing guitarist. IS.
He’s still here and making music.
Anything on the album Bridge of Sighs is 💯
Sick guitar all the time 🤘🤘🤘
Somebody's calling
Yep, that's a masterpiece. Slow rolls you for a while, then Dewars comes in with that awesome voice. Chills to the spine.
Great song man definitely I play this almost every other day I have this album and I mean the actual album LOL but by the way it's Robin trower by the way lol
groovy. that is all.
I mentioned this before but Bridge of Sighs is the most apocalyptic blues music you might ever hear.
Whatever happened to the power trio?
As all songs on this are great, can you react to the entire album,or at least one side at a time. Each song compliments the next one.,and is great to listen to.If you can't do that hen Too Rolling Stoned, Lady Love and Little Bit of Sympathy are good ones, but the title track and About To Begin and In This Place are also great.
His name is pronounced Trower no h yes quite the talent
Back in the ‘70’s RT was promoted as Britain’s answer to Jimi. I figured that was hype because nobody is comparable. I had to listen and make up my own mind. Bridge of Sighs was the first song on the airwaves. But then James Dewar sang and my head was turned. RT became the fantastic musician behind that voice…for me. RT deserves all the accolades he’s received over the decades!! I still listen to this album. I agree, Biz, that one line is still true decades later - living in the day of the eagle not the dove! ☮️❤️
Another guitarist from the same timeframe to check out is Frank Marino. The two of them (Trower and Marino) along with Hendrix influenced more great guitar players than anyone since Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.
Frank Marino Aslo
It's too short
Only thing wrong with this song, and many of his others, is that they're way too short!!!
