Agreed, Bridge of Sighs is just one of those albums you can comfortably listen to from start to finish without skips. My personal favorite is The Fool and Me. Its just got a funky vibe that pairs well the genius of Trower. Great reaction!

This is one of my favourite Trower songs. James Dewar's bass and vocals are always excellent.

Robin Trower!! He gets little to no respect, HOWEVER he is a guitar god often referred to as the "new Hendrix" back in the 70s. He was with Procol Harum for years before that. He rocks!! And the bass player/vocalist James Dewar (RIP) has the best low baritone ever in rock!! 🎤🎸
Oh, and I saw him live in 1975, 1999 and 2009. Always a great player and he just released a new album this year called 'No More Worlds to Conquer.' ✌🎸😍

I agree very under appreciated. I put him in the same category as the late great Rory Gallagher. James Dewar voice is very soulful and powerful. Great great song one of my favorites from Robin. Another one is a very simple but effective song In this Place. Love Robin always will he is a great musician.

I believe James Dewar (the vocalist) was a Scot. Caledonia is an old name for Scotland.

Thanks for putting another Trower video out. As far as I know that is all Bill Lordan, the drummer. The Robin Trower band should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and it is a disgrace that they are not.

Caledonia is a great song, and originally it was going to be called California, but James being from Scotland had an idea what the lyrics should be so it was changed to Caledonia.Bill Lordan on drums from '74 till around '88 was a great drummer who was with Sly Stone before joining Robin and James.Sly called him Lord of the skins! Robin,James and Bill were great together. Thanks for doing this song!

You’re right about it sounding like it should be “California,” because it almost was named California. I read that Trower and Dewar were not sure which one to go with even during the recording of the song in the studio. Apparently, they decided on Caledonia, but Dewar kept singing California and messed up a couple of takes. I’m from California, but I always liked that they gave Scotland a big shout out.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'm sure I'll get flak for this...and absolutely NO DISRESPECT for Mr. Hendrix... but RT has done stuuf that Hendrix could never do if he was alive. Hendrix is hendrix, and Trower is TROWER!

@@ajschroetlin2196 Indeed...all subjective. Some want "Bridge of Sighs" and suchlike all the time. He's done so many great tunes...and many of them haven't been cased in popular hard rock or whatever...his stuff is just really fine.
