    We work so similar and it's so refreshing to hear someone say how long they take, so many hairdressers are like 'oh I take 45min for a full head foils' In my opinion that cannot be as much work as what you of I put in x

      Oh geez.... 45 minutes for a partial! Good hair takes time!

    • @snorky776
      @snorky776 3 роки тому +1

      I’m the same way! Takes me a couple hours to foil a full head! With a medium to fine density! Roughly 3/4 sometimes 5 hours to full foil a thick head! I’d rather take my time and get it done right, than rush and mess it up.

    • @rain3743
      @rain3743 2 роки тому

      Detailed foiling takes time. It typically takes me 2.5 hours for a whole head just to get it foiled, If there's no subsections like that. Depends on the density. I don' think 5 hours is bad for that much work. I use Wella's "Service" after pulling foils as they're ready. I SPRITZ And remove with towel then put that product on. Even if the bleach isn't shampooed out, it stops the process, as it is acidic, AND, acts as an awesome detangler. I detangle gently with a wet brush. That backcombing comes right out.

      You can assess what the hair can take. Also, Olaplex DOES allow us to push things a bit. Sometimes it has to be overlapped. When I know I might have to I usually add on a Malibu C for blondes or a Crystal Gel to get that buildup out. Which adds more time and $$ to the service but really helps. Sometimes it brightens the existing highlights enough to be toned more evenly without needing to overlap. I think clients who expect that much icyness should realistically prepare to pay $400-$550.

    I love you're tutorials...I have been a hairdresser for 30 + years..one thing I would never ever..ever do is comb hair that still has bleach on it..dry or not..
    Most definitely without question would snap and fray that hair..probly why you may have such a hard time with the combing out ..rince..and put a cuticle seal...actually why they developed a cuticle seal is because the cuticle is opened and vulnerable to breakage. Otherwise..amazing work.Thank you 🎉

For detangling I use rusk keratin care deep penetrating treatment after I shampoo out olaplex #2 and leave on for 5 minutes and rinse out . Then I towel dry and spray matrix miracle creator and brush out with the unbrush it’s just like a wet brush but safe to use with a blow dryer .

      Yeah, A few people have mentioned that and I don't want to worry about the foil. Especially if the hair is longer and im sliding the board down the length of the hair, then I have to worry about the foil staying in place. Also I use framar pop up foils, not the big roll you can tear and do a bunch at once. It would be too time consuming to stack them on the board 1 at a time lol

      Great suggestion! I do sometimes.... but also don't want to put in private conversation that's super inappropriate 😬😬😂😂 not family friendly lol
      I never point cut the length of the hair unless someone has very thick hair and wants a blunt cut, just to break the ends up. I usually always point cut layers. She has very fine hair to I don't want to point cut her end potentially making them look thin. Blunt cut on fine/ thinner hair looks better to create a heavier weight line.

    Hi! I have a question about how you book your services in the salon (I’m sorry if you’ve mentioned this before in a video and I missed it).
    If a service takes you 4-6 hours, do you know ahead of time that you’ll be working on a client for that long? Or does it mess with your schedule for the rest of the day? Thanks in advance :)

      Hello! Honestly I only really do 2 clients maybe 3 a day. I try to ask lots of questions, pictures sent to have an idea how long it will take. But I know im slow at foiling so I assume 4/5 hours will be needed. Or if idk, I just book a client out for the whole day and usually use that full day. In those cases they are charged hourly for big transformations and knows it's going to be 5-8 hours @ $100/hr

      Oh thank you! And yes I have Instagram, I leave my info in the description of every video..... just use 20 vol, nothing higher.... take thin sections and use foil to keep the heat. I hope it turns out!

    I don't understand how they can put bleach all the way to the end and foil it and the hair not break off. Her hair is light anyway,
