As someone with 0 experience, when it comes to crpg's, these guides are very helpful for getting my mind around how everything works. Thank you for this!
Note on the display: the 4 "fists" that display the BAB are not showing the BAB at different levels, as you implied. Instead they show the BAB on your first, second, third and fourth attack.
Thank you for this wonderful video introduction to Pathfinder. You're very thorough, and I don't think you assumed any prior knowledge of D&D or Pathfinder, the way most of us (perhaps unconsciously) do. This is a really nice approach for people seeking their first understanding of a wonderful gaming system. Even with my years of experience in D&D and Pathfinder, I found this helpful. I had never analyzed and compared the base attack bonus and saves progressions, between the classes. I only knew how they compared, generally.
Resisting being knocked down is usually CMD. Wolves for example get a free trip attack if their bite hits, making a CMB check vs CMD and knocking down if it succeeds. Also hit die and BAB progression are connected. Good BAB is d10, medium is d8, poor is d6. The exception is d12 hit die (barbarian and stalwart defender good BAB, dragon disciple medium). Finally in regard to looking up class features, it's worth pointing out that barbarian, monk and rogue use the rules from the Pathfinder Unchained rulebook, rather than the core book. These generally make them considerably better.
It should be noted that when you multiclass, BAB will stack between classes but BAB progression does not. For example, if you take 1 level of Rogue and 1 level of Cleric, you won't get 1 BAB, you'll get 0 BAB. 2 levels of Rogue and 2 levels of Cleric gives 2 BAB instead of 3 BAB. BAB only progresses for each specific class. So if you want to multiclass, and you take classes with 3/4 or 1/2 BAB progression, you don't want to have an odd number of classes or you'll lose out on BAB progression.
The videos you have made for this game are FABULOUS! Would be great if you could make specific class guides, there so many of them and nobody has any good guides.
Looking forward to more Rogue centric content. Decided to scrap my first crack at this game with Inquisitor and roll with a dual wielding Knife Master instead. However, new to the Pathfinder world so any help is appreciated.
so.... how do i see which enemy has how many hitdie? or even just their remaining health.... i mean, i like the game, but the UI seems to go out of its way to hide vital information from me.... sometimes it shows me an enemys health, sometimes it doesnt, grrrrrr....
Hey, you haven't uploaded much EU4 in a while now. Just a question: Will you be returning to it? There is a Polish patch releasing today, with some new provinces and whatnot
I suppose that's the question everyone's asking, isn't it? EU4 is one of my favorite games of all time and that much hasn't changed. That being said, running the channel around it eventually got to a point that felt very constricting and stifling to my creativity, where I felt like I couldn't move on or make other content and still have people watch it. I was so concerned with views that it just entirely stopped being enjoyable making content for the game. I burned out and had to step back from the channel for a moment. I haven't given up on EU4 but there's a lot of new mechanics that have been added since I last played that makes me wary on coming back in full, especially because I am very far behind on owning all the DLC at this point. I'm sorry if that's hard to hear but it's the honest truth. Strategy game content is definitely still planned so if other games of the genre interest you there may still be content for you here.
I wanted to find out if they really implemented this but in my experience they didn't. HP gain each level is fixed and not rolled. At least I tried it out 4 times and allways got the same HP gain during level up.
@@mocianK it's randomised but must be from the start of the game, if you save before level up and reload the gains are always the same but each game is different
if my own math is right, an Average BAB character would get their 4th attack at max Level.... But like you said, at that point, the +1 is completely useless (you'd need to Crit Threat to land the 4th hit)
I started noticing the amount of times he says "uhm" at the beginning of every sentence and i couldnt get it out of my head, couldnt watch more after that :(
hey great video man ! i have one question: if i have a lv2 rogue dualwielding two lights weapons why the weapon in the off hand ( a dagger) has negative attack ? my main hand has a shortsword and is +4 to attack roll but i dont have any feat of dualwielding
Without the Two Weapon Fighting feat you take big penalties when dual wielding even light weapons. With the feat, if your off hand is a light weapon, both attacks are made at -2/-2 of your base attack bonus and regular attack modifiers
house rules for hit die we do a minimum so a d10 minimum would be avg rounded up so 5.5 rounded to 6. do you have a d10 (min 6) + constitution modifier. d6 is 4, d8 is 5 d12 is 7 minimum. Does pathfinder really go full range? damn you could really get screwed by that with bad rolls.
At this point just use a d6 instead of a d12 if 7 is your floor anyway and just add 6 to it. Pathfinder kingmaker changed to just adding half of the hit die each level
o.o Please forgive me......but i *already* need an "um" break. (As in, a break from all of the "um"s!) My goodness does a single thought ever cross the threshold of your mouth *without* it being immediately covered in an audible shroud of self doubt?
Man, this video really highlighted for me how fucking terrible the in-game explanations are (if they are there at all). Idk how is the player supposed to know all these essential things. Buy a pathfinder manual or something? Thanks for the video!
Took a bit of rewatch to understand, but yea the game literally have zero tutorial in these stuff... The next pathfinder game really needs to have better tutorial and giving info to gamer that never played pnp games...
hello I wanted to tell you something without posting it publicly but you could possibly work on public speaking is to never say "uhm" I stopped counting at 20 this would help you very much if you will be making more video's or a career in public speaking
You and most of the other commenters have pointed this out but thanks. When I made this video I was pretty tired and probably should have stopped and made it again when I was more awake.

I appreciating you taking the time to explain these concepts. I adore this game but I have no idea what is going on.
Finally I started to understand something in this game😂💕 thanks a lot man! Very helpful

Really helpfull! Thank you again! :D
You should stream this game on twitch very informative.
thank you so much please make more videos like this man, I subbed because of this vid
I like your intro :D
nb: it is really funny how you do not edit your videos, so we get authentic stuff like "argh, I need water !" :P Just amusing.
Great videos man keep them coming :) Also would love some unique builds. Atm im trying your beginners barbarian. Looking good so far :D
THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!!!
Very informative. Thank you.
Really good explanation!
Thanks a lot for the video, very helpful.
Looking forward to more Rogue centric content. Decided to scrap my first crack at this game with Inquisitor and roll with a dual wielding Knife Master instead. However, new to the Pathfinder world so any help is appreciated.
Thanks for the great video! I have not a clue what im doing in this game haha!

I didn't know this used actual rolls to determine HP after first level, guess that's why one of my guys only has 20hp at level 4, unlucky.
I wanted to find out if they really implemented this but in my experience they didn't. HP gain each level is fixed and not rolled. At least I tried it out 4 times and allways got the same HP gain during level up.

Oh ok. That seems to be a good solution
very helpful video

Umm I umm know umm I ummm can't ummm get ummm around ummmmmmmmm that ummmmmmmmmmmmm
Omg why does the game not explain this?!
Great video, keep them coming, this game is pretty poorly explained.
buy a player's handbook for a D&D game or download pdf to grasp the way these games work.
be ready to enter the rabbit hole of greatness.
this is what ALL modern games are based on. D&D created most everything we love in this world and no one knows it.

@@mannycalavera8746 two-weapon fighting Rogue is a decent build yeah

Dark where are u from?
I was playing Divinity Original Sin 2 before this but never played D&D so its a bit overwhelming 😩
yeah DOS is a lot less complex overall
People trying to explain this game sound like they're at an exam answering super difficult questions. This game was made unnecessarily complicated.
